PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

    since installing 737ngx i have been running fsx and the ngx with no problems,until yesterday when fsx wouldnt start i got a appcrash pmdg 737 dll as the fault. i deleated the ngx and fsx started ok i then installed the ngx and it was working fine for awhile then i got the appcrash again, i again deleated ngx deleated the fsx config started fsx ok then done the ******* tweaks installed ngx set up as per introduction manual and now running fsx and ngx, with no problems so far, i know some users have had trouble when closing fsx but any help why i keep getting a appcrash when starting fsx thanks in advance.

    A friend of mine tells me he can select "ACARS" from the CDU. though mine is dimmed out so I can't select it. Doesn't matte if it's no implemented, I'm just wondering what's necessary to un-dim the selection. Thanks. Dave

    I was lined up on the runway ready for takeoff. Had autothrottle engaged, both FDs engaged. I advanced the throttle up to 40%, and then I hit the N1 button on the MCP. Nothing happened...so I clicked the hidden clickspot for N1, and sure enough, my engines went to takeoff power, and off I went... anybody else have this issue of the N1 botton not functioning, or is there something I'm doing wrong. I'm aware there is a difference between N1 and TO/GO... regards

    My initial thinking is that it does not. I arm CWS after take off, and I cannot move the aircraft. No inputs from my Saitek 52Pro will change the attitude of the aircraft. When in level flight, and in CMD mode. I increase the altitude on the MCP, then pull back on the stick. As expected, ALT HOLD falls out, and CMD P is activated, and annunciated in yellow. However, as not expected, CWP P does not falled back to ALT HOLD when reaching the MCP altitude, instead stays in CWS. I am not an NG pilot, I just hold the type rating and it is start to be old now, so I m not sure if I m right or not,but! during take off, as soon as I rotate the aircraft, the command speed bug goes to v2+20 instead of staying at v2. the mcp's windows speed stil indicates v2 but the bug goes to v2+20. So I tried to simulate an engine failure after v1 but before v2 and I expected to see the command speed bug to stay at v2, but it goes to v2+20.     I got an idea and maybe this has been on the topic before, but how about if you have AES installed and have the ability to manage these functions (boarding/deboarding, stairs/gates) from the CDU.If not done by you how about the possibility to add your own function to the FMC menus via the SDK?It could be used for other addons as well if it was possible to bind key commands to menu options in the CDU.I thinking of this primarily for a future cockpit project where I would like to be able to control such things from the CDU rather than have other menus pop up on the projector screens.

  11. on edit: this is after installing the hot fix. I can switch fine from the opening dialog but If I've already started the flight (parked at the gate) I'll get a CDT in one of the NGX dlls. Is this a known thing or should I submit a ticket?

    Seems the hotfix has messed up my ngx install can't use menu items or go from windowed mode to full screen without fsx crashing, anyway of uninstalling it do not see an uninstall, thanks.

  14. As seen from the picture, the scenery texture crushed and became to disappear after a period of (approx 20min) flight. During the flight, I changed the view very frequently between different views.I'm using 32-bit windows7, with 3G maximum of memory and i5-480 processor(laptop, 2.67GHz, 2cores, 4 threads) and GeForce 310M video card.I've edited the fsx.cfg and added HIMEMFIX=1 to it, and I felt it reduced the chance of seeing skeleton airplanes.     Hi All, Thank you very much for this wonderful forum and this airplane. It is probably by far the best plane I ever flew on the sim. However, there is still something I can't work-out. I would like to import a route into the FMS, which would save me some time. I tried to have a look at my /NGX folder where all the routes are saved and I checked the format (.rte) which is the same as the one I use with AivlaSoft EFB. But, after spending quite a long time screen all the FMS options, there is no way I could find a method to import my routes. I tried the Company Route with ICAO and even the IATA codes for my airports with still the same message "INVALID ENTRY". I hope you can…

First of all I only did a close circuit flight, I spent all the time just roaming the cockpit listening to the different click sound and playing with the mouse scroll on different tuning knobs.     up to now been really happy slowly getting the hang of doing battle with the fmc etchowever i can now reproduce a ctd every time.the route is yhba to ybbn fmc programmed in various configs but say use rnwy 29 departure ybbn ils 29 arrival , a very simple exerciseso line up on 29 set lnav flaps at 5 and rock and roll climb out set vnav get the flaps up and cross the arms , as this has now happened 5 times in succession i have a second monitor with a gpu monitor and a cpu monitor on which i started to watch the fatal error come off , sometimes it can happen in the climb out and sometimes at toc but i have yet to get past tod.so i am watching the gpu monitor, all is correct …

    I applied the hotfix and restarted fsx. I havent thried the 739 yet, but it didnt touch the liveries for the 738. Flying from KSTL to KSJC I used VNav exclusively for three test flights. At each test flight, the plane overflew the airport, and on AP disco, the plane stopped responding to manual input. None of the switches worked. The Auto Pilot would not reactivate, and for all intents and purposes the plane froze. I had to Ctrl-Alt_del out of each flight..Now, mind you, I dont normally use VNav, so it could have very easily been something i was doing, but i would still think that the flight computer should reset itself when i turn everything off, and manual controls s…

    I don't now if this issue has been already reported but I want to say it: I was flying from SKCG to SKBO (Colombia) and I was almost next to REMOL and my speed was 300 knots, everything was good until I decided to change my alttitude from fl250 to fl270 because I was among some clouds. It was good, no problem, everything normally, but then I decided to set the alttitud in the CDU (I was flying by fmc with VNAV and LNAV and the AP ofcourse) for fl290 and it didn't start to climb I imagine It was because I was setting the speed in 300 knots and it should be in match above fl270. For those with 32 bit WinXP and maybe Vista, or Win7 32 bit systems (Especially those with graphic cards with greater than 512MB video memory), who keep getting Out of Memory errors shortly after loading the NGX, I think I found a solution. The problem is the USERVA setting we allocate for virtual address space. The general consensus is for a 512MB card you set it to 2816, for a 768MB card 2560, and a 1gb card 2304. The problem is 2304, and 2560 does not give enough room FSX to run with the NGX. For example at the time of my OOM's looking at the task manager it was using 1.7GB memory.     Guys- First of all, this is and will be the all time favourite airplane in FS history, well untill you top it with the 777 of course! :)Anyways, some trouble with the autotuning of VOR1 and VOR2, flying over middle Europe I can see in the FMS that it selects the closest stations, and even tough I have set both knobs to show VOR1 and 2 in ND it stays blanked and in no connection with anything? If i select VOR1 frequency to a closeby VOR I get the DME and radial in the ND - any tips?

  25. Greetings All, This aircraft simulation really is wonderful. PMDG has done a great job and kudos for their hard work. I have a few items that may or may not be issues. I figured it would be better to ask here first. 1. (SOLVED) Out of memory error: Fixed this, or maybe just prolonged it, by setting UsePools back to 1. I had it set to 0 and got this error every time after about 2 hours. 2. Cold and dark exterior sound: When jumping in the cockpit cold and dark, the exterior view has an equipment running sound. I suspect it is the APU sound, but not sure. Everything appears to be off and no equipment attached. Starting the APU and powering up the A/C then shutting down…
