It is not that big a deal, but when one removes an addon NGX airplane (say KLM) with the Livery Manager, it does not remove the texture file, so if you want to reinstall it later, you get an error and have to change the ending of the texture file (say from .KL to .KLM) to install the aircraft. Otherwise one has to go to the textures file in the appropriate FSX folder and remove them by hand. Henri

Yesterday I logged in to SystemOnline which is my local doctors online GP service, where I can book prescriptions, doctors visits, appointments etc. Well the password had run its course over the last 12 months and with no warning I was locked out. I rang them and like last year was asked to go in and pick up the new password. I went today and this was my password; pmdggf&6 I can`t help but wonder if this is a new feature of the ever more powerful FMC. Hi All I know this is an issue due to thrust imbalance as works perfectly when i remove the throttle calibrations through FSUIPC but I loose my reverse thrust detent on my CH throttle quadrant and love that feature, anybody got the auto throttles working properly when calibrating through FSUIPC, this addon is awesome RegardWayne

Hello all. I am considering purchasing the NGX first thing in the morning but I am concerned about activation of the product. The problem lies not with activation on my current rig but the fact that I have ordered a new mobo and RAM ready for my I7 2600k. I shall not complete the build for another month or so until I have the cash to buy said CPU but frankly I cant wait to get stuck into the systems of this quite frankly ground breaking product. Of course when I put the new rig together I shall be doing a fresh install of windows and FSX and here lies the question. After installation of the hot fix suddenly my frame drop from 15-22 to 6 at orbx YMML but the freezing was gone. I was very happy with the frames prior to the fix and I was angry with PMDG for releasing a fix that disolve my frame rates to a slide show.I did a complete re-install of the 737 and the freezing was back again but the frame rates are still 6.What changed prior to the hotfix? then it hit me FSINN I changed a setting in FSINN,I change it back to the setting before the fix and there you have it back to 15-22 YMML great frame rates and so smooth for such a complex addon and no freezing. hi, i read in the introduction that some ready made panel states are already made and can be selected in the fmc set up [see screenshot] however i dont have the ready for take off one only the cold and dark,short, and long, anyone know where i can find the ready for takeoof one. thanks.

The program was working all right, but I interrupted a flight by pressing reset when the autopilot said it could not follow the plan. Now even when I restart FSX, it doesn't matter where I start from: the plane appears, it is going up at a high angle and immediately tumbles head over heels and crashes. I choose and airport at random, and tell FSX I want to start there, but no deal. How can I get back to a normal start on a runway stopped and level? At one point I pressed the save button on the FMC while making a flight plan thiinking I was saving the flight plan, that could be it or not... Henri

Is it safe to rename the ptp files before adding them in the livery manager?The 2-digit letter codes are a bit difficult to keep up with... The motherboard in my fsx machine did a nose dive last night & the new one won't be in for a week, so I'm alleviating the withdrawals by downloading liveries & organizing all the setup files on my backup HD in preparation for an overdue format/reinstall. Hi All, I know, seems silly, but, I was trying to tune both ADF radios to fly an NDB app manually. I tuned the first ADF, but, I can't find a way to tune the second ADF. I've checked the 11.20.08 FCOM v2, but I didn't found anything about it. Does anyone knows how to do this? I appreciate any help. ThanksPaulo Bernardo

Today I experienced an other crash of FSX (BTW this time no related error report, last time it was pointing to PMDG_737NGX.dll). Flight from EHAM to EDDT, the crash happened just after leaving Rwy 27 and turning left in order to take course to EDDT, before reaching 6000ft. I'm running Win7x64 on quite nice hardware being rock stable up to now: My rig:ASUS P8Z68-V, i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz, Noctua NH-12P SE2 and 16 GB Kingston RAM,GPU: AMD HD 5870, 1024 MB,BE Quiet Dark Power Pro 650W,Antec 801 case with 3 fans. Has someone already succeeded to reprogram the FMC for an alternate airport ? I couldn't manage: got the airport in the arr/dep page but didn't manage to select any rwy or app for that airport. Not sure if that's a bug or hopefully just my ignorance.BestKarim

After flying this bird for some time now, I am amazed by how incredible it is; the complexity is on a whole new level for any FS addon and will (by now it has) set a whole new standard for FSX addons. But I am curious if I am not doing something correctly relating to performance. Hi dear staff, I bought the NGX on its release date. I installed it to my laptop and I had to reinstall the Windows, then I installed it again to my new system. Then my cousin came to my house and I gave the license code to him, he installed NGX and me and him worked it perfectly together. Then I deleted it from my laptop to install it on my desktop PC, but I had an error: "The activation of the fulfillment is denied by the activation policy." something like that. My cousin also deleted his Windows, so anyone isn't starting PMDG NGX, but still I have this error. What should I do?

Hi everyone, today I tested the RNP/ANP capabilities of the NGX. I made an RNAV approach to LOWI. During the approach I commanded both GPS recievers to fail. After a while the ANP value exceeded the RNP value as anticipated. But I did not get the failure messages as described in FCOM2 (11.31.11). In the manual it says that after 10 sec (RNP was 0,3) I should get a CDU message "UNABLE REQD NAV PERF - RNP" and additionally it should appear on the ND. Neither of that happend. What did I miss? Another thing that supprised me was that when the autopilot captured FAC and G/P (I did not tune in the ILS) modes the ANP value suddenly jumped back to 0,03. Any explanation for that? …

Hi,I am just curious if more users got this problem.I got a pc with multiple dislays. The in cockpit sounds are only heard when one of the panels on my main display is activated. If I for example activate the fms panel on another dislplay, then I can't hear the cockpit sound, only the engines. I checked a lot already in the FMC sound settings, but could not solve the issue.Offcourse I use a 2D setup. Anybody familiar with this issue or knows a workaround?Br Wessel

Hi,I have purchased the 737NGX and the install was fine. However, it turned out I had to install the Direct X program, in which would not install because the cabinet file, needed for installation is not trusted. It also says I need to find out if the Cryptographic Services are enabled and that the cabinet file certificate is valid.I'm not a genius over this. Any help over what I can resolve. Hello, For the first time today after completing a cold and dark start, I tried to open the FMC but it had froze so I installed the Hotfix. Later I did a flight with engines running and loaded up the FMC no problems. I departed and noticed that the PFD and NG were not showing any movement, i.e. no speeds no altitude climb and the NG was stuck at first waypoint. However using the mouse I expanded the PFD and the speed and altitude were working and the same applied to the expansion of the ND the aircraft was at the fifth waypoint, Any explanations please. richard welsh. I have two questions: 1 - I have no submenu like PMDG in Addon menu when I am in the aircraft? 2 - The EZdok Camera is difficult to setup in a proper way but have 737ngx a profile to the addon who is already ready to use? Hi all, I was trying again (unsuccessfully) to get a complete flight in with the PMDG737NGX. This time, KDEN-KDFW. In cruise, about 600 miles from DFW, the sim apparently froze. No mouse clicks, no change-of-view would occur. The speed and altitude info vanished from the both CDUs. There was no data in PROGRESS, and all the other usual CDU places. The autopilot would not shut off, the A/T would not shut off. Setting a heading in the MCP and hitting "HDG SLT" had no effect. The a/c just kept going on the course when everything froze. The ND and PFD did not update. This is the first time I didn't get a CTD, though. I could not re-load the flight (all screens blank) although…

Being a Brit and frequent flyer with Ryanair I wish to set up my NGX for this carrier. Is there anyone on the forum who knows what settings I should use to replicate Ryanair ?... ie which MCP, cdu preferences etc. OR am I missing the obvious and the sim does it when I load their livery ? Hi Guys, Is anyone else seeing this? At acceleration height I wind the SPD selector to set flaps up speed. I do this by winding the knob until the bug matches the UP flag on the speed tape After setting this speed (usually 200-220kts depending on weight) I find that the MCP speed and the commanded speed (at the top of the speed tape is some 20kts below what the bug indicates). This is a little confusing as I am unsure as to exactly what speed is being commanded. At some stage later in the climb (perhpas after clean up) the bug starts doing normal things again. RegardsGreg
