PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hey guys, Of what I've seen, the 737 looks AMAZING, but I struggle to get it into the air.I'll lay out what's going on and my thoughts, and hopefully someone who's been through it can throw in their two cents. Since purchasing the 737NGX, I've installed by the book on a fresh FSX install.SP1 + SP2 + NGX What I've been getting is about one minute after starting the sim, a BSOD flashes up for under 1/2 a second, and then I get my BIOS startup screen. What I suspected was hardware, as there was nothing in the error log, and the OS wouldn't just hard reboot itself. So I set CPU and MB back to factory settings, tested the RAM, completely built a new fsx.cfg, followed the intro…

I get CTDs with this file almost every flight. Happens when I switch between cockpit and FSX setting screens. I have enbr but the flights load with enbr turned off - usually stays off throughout the flight. Hi guys,Hope you can help. I did about 3 successful circuits at EGKK today and during all approaches I experienced quite bad stutter and temp freeze just a couple of hundred feet before touchdown. This was the UK2000 version and up until about 200 feet or so I'm getting rock solid 25-30fps and just as I near the runway threshold the sim freezes for a few seconds multiple times. Once on the ground the stuttering and freezes go away. It's almost as if the landing lights or strobes are causing the issue. Will try another approach with no strobes/landing lights and will report back tomorrow. Any advice, in the meantime, will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, I was wondering what deadzone ,nullzone etc you use for realistic behaviour for your Saitek Yoke and pedals? I am not sure my settings is realistics as i am not sure what the settings meens Thanks Michael

First; the FSX sound-engine is not what one would call "brilliant" - so with that in mind I just have a couple of odd questions. 1. When my NGX is parked, no systems or engines in operation I still hear the apu (or a similar sound) at full level in exterior view (spot view) Is this a compromise to have "enough audio channels" to make all the NGX sounds available? 2. I've also noticed sound from the surrounding AI-planes are remarkably loud, I even hear when they retract their flaps after landing... I use UT2 for AI-traffic, but cant say I have heard this with any other FSX aircraft loaded. Closing remark; Im still sitting at KBFI tarmac exploring and enjoying the various …

My apologies for not knowing the proper terminology. I notice that the green lines that highlight the runway on approach, only pop into existence at very low altitude. Videos I've seen of the real HUD, clearly show the runway edges highlighted at much higher altitude. Is this a bug, can it be reconfigured to highlight the runway at higher altitude, rather than a few hundred feet? The feature seems less than useful if it pops into view so low. Martin Wilby

Hi folks! Coudn't find this topic anywhere, or in the intro manual.Different airliners use different seating configs. I know it's possible to change between "class"-types in the FMC, but would it be possible to edit the number of seats aswell? In this example, Norwegian Air Shuttle has 189 seats in their -800(WL) aircrafts. Would this be possible? Best regards,Geir Gronlien

For me (or for my imagination) the power of the lights is very low... Those pics are with ALL lights in the plane ON What do you think..?

Upon decent from FL 200 the aircraft started to yaw slightley both left and right with a very small margin but quickly all the way down to FL70. The yaw damper window was moving left and right as well ,to show it was not coming from a computer bug problem. I have turbulence effects switched off but was using real time weather. Is it possibly the weather generation system?? Any Ideas.

I thought I'd start a topic for those who have had minimal, if any problems at all since purchasing the NGX to maybe balance up the forum a bit. From the outset I'd like to thank and congratulate RR and the team. I have done maybe a dozen flights or so now and really I can't fault the aircraft at all, (with exception of one or two minor issues such as the strange low terrain warning from time to time). I certainly get none of these freezes or crashes that are being discussed. On the flipside, maybe I am just not as nitpicky as others and can't see what others see. How does one go about finding these values?

Yesterday I started a thread about an issue I was having when flying in low vis condidions, also another member called ZachLW started a tread that was similiar but different to my. For some reason now both threads have vanished and I can't find either the one I started or the one he started by searching under user content and posts or topics.It seems the forum has been acting really wierd lately, maybe due to the increase in traffic, but I have even replied to posts then the posts not even be listed on the forum, but still able to be searched.Should I start my topic again or it is possible my original thread be retireved?Sean Campell

Hello PMDG and NGX owners!About 3 days ago I bought the NGX but I can`t use it due to problems with activation. I`ve sent a ticket and as a respond I`ve got an external activator but it haven`t worked. The whole plane is unfunctional. Until now nobody answer to my ticket.I`m so confused now... There should be another way to activate the NGX :-((. I had a thought that maybe someone here will help me..... Rafal!

Has anyone notice that the standby AFD needle (when not tuned) will rotate around the compass rose on random signals as it does in the real world?

So please don`t complain if it is something wrong with my English I have as the topic say a little problem with the AA in spot view of the aircraft, but not in the cockpit... Hi all. Firstly, what a great piece of software. I've reverted to a child like state, waking early just to get an hour or so in. My only problem is related to landing at Aerosofts LXGB airport. At around 50ft I lose all control of the flight surfaces and throttle. Strangely there is no issue with departing the airfield or landing at any other airfield. PMDG Through all the technical issues that are being brought up and the the complaints of poor performance etc about the NGX i think there is a more important reality behind what you are doing. For me, this is the closest i will ever get to flying a real airliner. I always wanted to be a pilot but alas my eyesight saw to it that i wouldn't be. To be able to experience for an hour or two the sheer pleasure of simulated flight helps me to overcome that disappointment. In that context, being able to enact the types of procedures and challenges of flying through such a complex simulation really does fill me with joy. Hi,I encountered a curious thing just a moment ago:I was on final to EDDF 25L and everything was set as normal - both CMD's on, A/Thrust, ils frqs and courses for both cpt and F/o and so on. Around 1800 RA I saw that speed was gradually sinking below the ref speed ( 144kts/flap 30) and continued to do so to the yellow and red tape until the plane stalled and crashed. Hey everyone! Lately, it seems as though more people than not have been experiancing some real difficulties with the new 737 NGX and some haven't even been able to do a maden flight... So I did some testing and I was able to do my first flight, about an hour ago. Lets address the throttle quadrant problem first. I recently experianced this problem and I believe I figured out how to solve it as it worked for me. After you start up your left engine first, try turning on the fuel at 20% N2 and then give it some throttle as it spools up.
