Having read the introduction document and experienced the skeletal image on the external view I amended the FSX.cfg as recommended. The change has regretably had no affect whatsover? Any ideas please? Martin Madden

Well, i know that this question is not directly related with NGX but i want to know what you guys are doing to get rid of those sudden wind changes aloft. I enabled DWC in ASE options for this problem. But this time i have the famous S-turns time to time.What is your recommendtions? I have FSUIPC full version and i can set it to compansate for sudden wind changes but ASE recommends to clear all weather options in FSUIPC.

I just flew KFLL-KDFW, ( fdreamteam sceneries), as soon as I landed and reverse kicked in my saitek yoke pro stopped responding and so did the panel gauges . The plane stopped and started going backwards and I could not stop it. I hit a couple of times f1 and it eventually came to a halt. Using the keyboard I was able to exit the runway but the instruments were stuck. I took a picture so you can see what I mean. Thanks Vic

Before I start a flight I always set the UTC time to the actual real world time before entering the sim but through the course of 2-6 hours of flying the time begins to differ by sometimes more than 30-40 mins is there a way to keep that from happening? I ask because I fly on VATSIM and when I give progress reports or need info for arrival times on the FMC it throws things off for ATC and myself.

I will clear up some confusion on the Autoland function.. You all know by now the procedures how to set an autoland up, but, no 737 has a autopilot function that will steer the aircraft once you've touched down.. The autopilot must be disconnected, you can disconnect even if you have the runway in sight and land manually, this is done frequently.. This is because the 737's autopilot doesn't have a direct link to the rudder.. 747,767,777 different story, will track the centerline until you disconnect..

Hi All I get an error when installing PMDG 737NGX regarding DirectX - Error is " A cabinet file for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the crytographic services are enabled and thee cabinet file certificate is valid" Is this critical to the installation. After the error is simply push ok. The aircraft is in my FSX at statup and i get the cockpit view etc but as soon as i try move or switch views FSX says it has encountered an error and needs to restart! Any hints? Greetings all, Here's a twist on the same issue. I purchased the NGX on Thursday (the day it came out) , and downloaded the liveries the next day. I noticed the "read only" prompt when I had used the livery manager, but the planes seemed to have loaded normally. I've been using the program since then, and it has mostly been working fine. Today, I just booted up FSX and loaded the Southwest -800WL livery. The FSX "freeflight" screen showed the usual Southwest plane spinning around. After a minute or so, that plane became a skeleton. After hitting the "fly now" button, the plane appears (VC cockpit), but all of the screens are black, including the CDU. Yesterday, using the …

Hi all,During final phase of landing I disconect the autopilot (push down the disconnect button about 400 ft from touchdown) but the autopilot disengage sound does not stop.Even pressing Z for a secong time does not stop the sound.Any hint? Thanks,Christos

This is an awesome airplane. Best one of FSX yet. It feels so real when you fly it, especially on takeoffs and landings. I am having issues with the HUD. I have the HUD selected ON in the FMC, and it comes down alright, but it doesn't display any information. I have all the power on, engines are running and everything, but it doesnt display anything. HI there, Is there any way to completely remove the green information bar from FSX/NGX, I use the unregistered version [no need to spend money on that] FSUIPC with the 'Hide all single messages' checked but the information bar still comes on screen causing a 80% temporary drop in the NGX ( not acceptable ). This happens when I use REX and FSPax. Also with FSPax, I have noticed that the same drop in FPS happens when anything in the status bar changes, i.e turbulence, crew serving food, numbers change etc.....this only happens in the NGX. System run OK at av.25 fps at Add-on airports in London with external lock@40fps (tried other numbers and 40 seems to work best) with all…

Hi PMDG, I had a problem after engine start, everything looks okay after engine start N1 goes up to 20.9% and N2 is 61.2% When I pull throttle (Saitek throttle), I saw the throttle under VC view also moves consistently, I thought everything is good. However, the N1 didn't go up. It's pretty weird......my physical throttle moves, virtual throttle under VC mode also moves.....but the engine just doesn't do anything........it stops at 20.9, I tried to push to the end.....nothing happened.. ..when I tried to pull to reverse.....nothing happened either.... Do you have any ideas how to solve problems? I used the "Short" panel profile Regards,Frank

Maybe??..Maybe today I can paint my plane. Maybe today I can fly it with my own VA's colors flying on it. I'm an old biker. I dont fly no one elses colors, so its been a long wait so far.. Maybe today.. But i'm losing hope.. Its been a long wait for a PSD file..Pam

I bought the ngx today and after two short flights (egph-eidw and back) I'm really surprised with the quality of the product. Everything is incredible realistic and it's a bug free aircraft (at least for me). However what I'm more impressed about is that despite all the things going on with the ngx I manage to get very good performance! As I am away from home I need to use my laptop as a fsx platform, it's an already old (T9400 @ 2.53, 4gb ram, ati3650 512mb dedicated ram, windows 7 64bits) machine, however, I manage to get solid fps with the ngx, the fps never drop bellow 22 even on the ground, I know that my fsx settings are pretty low, but I don't care about that as lo…

PMDG 737-800WLCold & Dark panel state I have been trying everything but it seems as though that when I load the aircraft in the cold and dark state the batteries do not kick in. The battery and stand by power selector switches are both on however no lights get illuminated in the cockpit, as well as the DC AMPS CPS FREQ panel doesn't come alive.. moreover when I try to align the irs selector, the align button flashes constantly and the fmc reads 'SET IRS POSITION' .. But I am guessing this relates to the batteries as I don't think they are on. What am I doing wrong? I followed all the manuals and tutorials but still they won't come on. Cheers,

GIven than one has to be online to Activate the product, does the same apply if you want to Uninstall to move it to another newer PC. ie If you are ONLINE during Uninstall, does the Uninstall inform PMDG that you have removed the product from one PC, so that you can then go ahead, and install it on another. In the documentation, I see the part about being online to INSTALL, and the warning about needing to uninstall, by using the Uinstall, as opposed to just deleting, but I do not see anything about needing to be Online during the Uninstall, so that potentially the product can later be re-installed on a new PC.

Okay, I didn't want to hijack anyone's thread and my problem is close to the others I've read but not the same. So forgive me in advance if I should have attached it onto one of the current threads. I am having an issue with my Saitek throttle quadrant too. I have FSUIPC but not the registered version and as such my calibration is done through the Saitek software which I get to through the FSX menu. My problem is that after takeoff it starts to go out of alignment. Eventually it is so far out of whack that when I pull the throttles back I can only reduce to about 45%. I have calibrated them before the flight. I have attached a screen shot of the problem. I can still land,…

Before embarking on my next flight I made a short field landing with max autobrake which eventually led to the brake temp going up to 6.3. Even though the QRH recommends a cooldown time of more than an hour and possible service for this kind of temperature I decided to make it interesting and began the new flight with hot brakes. I had to interrupt the flight and saved it. When I loaded it again, including the proper panel state, the brake temp was back to 0.0, while the temps before saving were around 5.3 Long story short: is it correct that the brake temps are not being saved in the panel state file?
