PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

    Last night I had a problem with flight idle N1 for the first time, having not previously experienced major problems slowing the NGX down. I always use the G key to retract the gear, and don't have any hardware controllers apart from my MS Sidewinder joystick. In this case, the aircraft was holding in level flight at about 3,000 ft with flaps and gear up, and VNAV selecting the clean manoeuvring speed (just over 200 knots), yet the aircraft would not slow down below about 220 kts. N1 was high for the clean condition (around 40%). Then I noticed I had left the gear lever was still in the UP position. As soon as I selected the gear lever to OFF (using the mouse) the idle…

  2. I am probably being a complete idiot but I cannot get the two pilot displays to look anything like I see all the pictures on You tube and here. I have twiddled the two selection knobs above the screens on the captains side and I can select different views but none of them give me a full inscreen (MFD) of either a compass, Horizontal horrizon includeing speed and altitude tape, moving map, it has on it an old looking speedometer on the left side, the no2 mfd has my plane position in middle and route (which i want to take up the whole screen, and it has about a third of the 2nd mfd taken up with two dials that overlap the route (Altitude and Climb/decent.Sure this does not …

    Hey guys/gals,I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with the 737-700 locking up. Seems to be I get to firing up the engines and then I will move outside the aircraft in a spot view, and the sim locks up.     Hello gents.The ETOPS Battery option has been bugging me for a while because I don't know why, or when the second battery was added.We don't have the additional battery on our planes, yet, our NG's are all 180min ETOPS certified, as per Boeing Document D044A007 "737-600/-700/-800/-900/-900ER ETOPS Configuration, Maintenance and Procedures".So my question is this; why/for which airline/what country or countries has the second battery been added?Ash Frew.

    I noticed this small issue some time ago, maybe it was present from my first update (HF2 or 3) but the LCD meters display shows me cleartype fonts, and it is pretty unreal when I do the meter LCD self test.This is how I have it:But, as I told, I'm pretty sure it was good at the first installation.I never tried to fix it as it was not too much important, but, today I tried to fix it by installing the fonts inside the fsx/fonts folder. I also checked them (by opening) to see if there was a font for it, but I've found nothing.I must say that MCP, pressurization, and DUs fonts were ok, so the problem is only present with that panel.Before I'm going crazy with it, someone can …

    So... i have a quite odd problem. First of all, i should start with my hardware. Its an Intel i7 with a Geforce GTX 460M and 16GB RAM. Normally, i have about 70 frames minimum (doesnt matter what aircraft) and its going up to 200 frames or even more. Due to the hardware i have, i think i can run everything at the highest level. Now comes the odd part. I tried the NGX with it as well but in the VC, i have a maximum of 25 frames with a minimum of about 10 fps at EDDF (other fps compared with EDDF as well). Then i tried all the fixes in the introduction but it doesnt change at all (only the option "Detailed VC" or something gives me 5 fps more avrg). So i started to reduce o…

  11. Finally decided to really get started online, this time on IVAO. I was planning a flight from EDDM to EHAM. Planning went ok. I do not have a headset, but the controller of Munich was talking to me and I could here him. He was quite hard to understand, lol. He told me to take the INPUD1S SID, and I had to take off from runway 26R. That's where the trouble started. I chose INPUD1S in the FMC, and it turned out that that SID belongs to 26L instead of 26R. So I requested pushback, and thought, that I had to go to 26L because I had to do the INPUD1S SID. Then after pushback was completed the controller told me that I was faced in the wrong direction.     Hello everyone'First, a thankyou to all who responded to my query on upgrading to Windows 7 a while back. I upgraded this past week to W7 and added another 4G of ram, total of 8 now. In the process the fan on my GT9800 died and the card quit. (hoping a new fan will bring it back to life) Between the video card going and W7 constantly denying me permissions, I just about went mad, but In the meantime I bought a second hand GTS250 to replace it and that seems to be doing ok so far.After installing FSX I installed the PMDG 737NGX.     Hi All , I run, on two monitors , the Aerosoft Boxed version of the PMDG 737 NGX . A fantastic simulation , but I have an heavy problem . If I open a new view in the main monitor no problem . But if I undockthe new view and I go to the second monitor the view become black . Really I would like to solve the problem .   20. Hi everyone,I am enjoying the 600 series and have a small annoying problem. When ever I switch from the VC view to external view the tail section displays the frame, then quickly draws the skin. I did not notice this before SP1. If I jump from the VC view to wing view then to external, the tail section is drawn correctly. This occurs on the 600 and 700 series and to a lesser extent on the 800's. I have uninstalled and re-installed the planes. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.Bob Price

    I have seen a few remarks on this but i cant find now, so heres the deal. If I end the flight with pmdg 737 and go to shut down fsx i sometimes get a fatal error or i have to go to the task manager to end the program, does anyone have a a routine to follow when closing the program? Im running windows 7
