Hello All,I just wanted to post that the GSX program from FSdreamteam is out and I've tried the demo at EDDM with the NGX and all I can say is WOW! What an enhancement to this beautiful bird! I would recommend everyone at least try the demo first, but I will be saving my money for this! Not sure if there are other products on the market with similar features, but the detailing and the pushback model especially are quite nice. The push back will automatically place you on the taxi center line! Just a great way to enhance an already amazing aircraft!~DAN BURKE~

Hello!I am experiencing some problems with the TO/GA function. It simply doesn't activate. I've tried with both the klickspot on the MCP and the button on the throttle lever. But nothing happens. Does anyone have a clue?/Emil Nilsson

  3. Since the first release, and even now with SP1, there is no way I am able to set default transition altitude to 4,000ft. Even though I set it in the options menu, whenever I start a new flight and program the FMC, the TA defaults to 18,000ft (I think it was 17,000ft prior SP1). Any hints? Thanks in advance.

Hello, what is your method of complying to ATC (approach) instruction such as "25 miles to touchdown" and adjusting your descent rate - do you compute it in your head, or there is some FMC trick that allows you to help yourself with that? I was a few times surprised by this instruction, and twice ATC had to adjust vectors because I was descending too slowly.. all bestJakub

Dear experienced NG drivers.I am getting pretty familiar with the NGX I might say, I finally got acquainted with the VNAV system and how to twist the speed so that the plane flies the approach with time to bleed off speed etc.I am how ever having issues following the LAM procedure approach from LAM into rwys 09L/R. I also had an issue with 27L/R.For now lets focus on rwy 09L/R, the procedure calls for keeping 7000ft minimum until 30DME LAM and then next altitude is MINIMUM 6000ft at DME 34 LAM. My problem is that 5-8 NM later I should be on 4000 ft. and then capture the LOC at around 3000ft all with in 10-15 NM.It all sounds simple, but having the altitude come down with …

Hi,I have a strange problem with my PMDG 737NGX.Everytime I switch to another view, the screen is flickering, as someone would take a photo with flash.I can pan around with my joystick and mouse without problems, but when I hit the A or S button to change in FSX the view, the screen flashes once. Also during the initialization when loading the panel and during the countdown the screen flashes every second once until the countdown has finished... I have the newest graphic card driver installed, I also tried an older driver,This problem only occurs with the 737NGX.Please I need help!with best regards,René

As promised, I want to tell you my results with FSPS Xtreme FSX PC V2.My Frames increased for around 5 FPS, so it is not "the ultimate program", but it helps to get the last out of FSX. I now get 25-30 FPS at Mega Airports from AS in NGX VC. The integrated calculater did not help for me; I had to try the different slider settings. (On request, I will post some pictures.)The only thing you have to do is running the program, create the settings you want and click on "Profile Default" (it loads the settings to the FSX.cfg). Then you can start the FS.You will have to test a lot the first time, but it is really worth it!!!!!As it is not too expensive, I would recommend to try …

Sorry if this has been asked before, but, does anyone know if there are any I'll effects to using the fueling function in GSX to fuel the NGX? Maybe I'm mistaken, but doesn't PMDG recommend only using the CDU to refuel the NGX for specific weight and balance issues?ThanksSent from my iPhone using TapatalkJB

  15. So, I saw a video on YouTube about the PMDG MD-11 landing in PANJ, Juneau International Airport. It seemed like a funny approach, so I decided to do a flight to there myself.I took out the Alaska 737-800 for a spin. I set it at Ketchikan International Airport, PAKT, and set the real world time. (It was 11AM where I live, central time, so I took away 3 hours to set Alaskan time, 8AM) Once it was finally loaded, I used REX WAsys to update weather for me. Wow. It was a cloudy day at Ketchikan!I couldn't find a route using Simroutes, so I had to use the free Rfinder. This flight is a little over 200 nautical miles.Well anyway, as I approached Juneau, it started raining. Great…

Dear friends,I would like to adjust the MCP altitude, heading and speed via my Saitek X52 Pro or via my computer keyboard.Thru FSX I saw for example that altitude bug (select) should be Ctrl+Shift+Z and to decrease or increase selection should be - or = respectively. I tried it without success even changing the key combination. No key combination worked for me.I am trying to figure out how to solve it so I can do the same think with my Saitek X52 Pro asserting some buttons to adjust the MCP altitude, heading and speed. Please help me in this topic.Regards,Adenilson

I'm not sure when this started, but at some point in my flight, all of the numbers on various gauges (MCP, radios, etc...) went dim. The autopilot ones appeared a bit brighter (but not much) after I turned off the dome light, which I had accidentally left on, but the radios are completely indiscernible. Any ideas?Thanks,boeing247

I am having a problem with the expansion pack the problem I am having is that I can't get the autopilot switch to work my trim is set to okay, I reinstalled the expansion also but still have problems, but on the base package I don't have the problem. Does this need a another service pack? cause with the expansion the service pack was installed with it. Please look into this pmdg it would be appreciable . Cause I would love to fly the plane and enjoy it. Thank you and happy landings.

I just started back with vatsim after getting the 737, I had made the flight from seattle to portland countless times so i figured it would be a good starting point. With everything set I went to taxi and horns would blow as I increased or decreased the thorttle. Worse yet when I went to takeoff it jumped into the air by itself going into a stall. I fought it as long as I could but trying to talk with vatsim at the same time was to much so I shut it down. I tried again with the same settings not connected to vatsim and it worked fine. Anyone out there ever had this problem?

  24. I don't know where to post this question since there isn't a forum on just "how to fly". I use Radar Contact with the PMDG 737 ngx. Several times I've gotten the message from ATC that I didn't meet my altitude restrictions and I'm diverted away from the airport to loose altitude. This is after I get a message from ATC something to the affect. "Descend to 11000 feet and slow to 250 knots. I need you down in 30 miles". I don't know how realistic this type of ATC message might be but assuming it is realistic, how would an professional pilot assure that he is at 11000 feet at a point 30 miles from his current position (which likely is not directly over a navigation point).…

Hello, I think i've read as much as possible in the FCOM, but still not sure. How would you set up the HGS if you were doing a RNAV or IMP type approach ? do you use IMC mode? do you still get the runway outline and flare/rollout guidance ?Thanks,Eric
