Hi i was just wanting some advice. I have noticed that at night on the horizon i see a greenish colour with faint lines going through. As you look higher into the sky it goes black. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.Kind Regards Chris.

I have watched several training videos and have been wandering how it is possible to have a direct middle view of the overhead panel without the 'angled-view' you get when your in the virtual mode and use the spacebar and mouse to scroll up to it. Some of the video's have the overhead panel in a 'centered-style-head-on' view with a sizable amount of clarity. I know about the 'shift-6key' but that view is rather dark and almost blurry to see. Is there something I am missing in my original set-up. I did not experience any of this in my MD-11.Regards,jen noulet

On an approach and landing at KJFK 31R, LOC/G/P appeared above the top left corner of the ADI on the PFD. I have probably done 50 landings on this runway and never seen this before. I have always seen ILS displayed. I have read FCOM2 10.11.14 about this indication but it really says nothing about what triggers this or how to get out of it. Anyway, this resulted in a GA and a LAND3 on the same runway at KJFK. The only other time I saw this indication was KLAX 24L several months ago. Unfortunately that one resulted in a crash as opposed to a GA and landing. That’s what happens when you don’t know what LOC/G/P means and you press on and try to land anyway. Any ideas on this …

Hi All,When flying the NGX I noticed that not always the name of the VOR I tuned is on the PFD. It does show the distance, but for the name I see "------". My MCP Combo does show the name (when I press the DME).Nine of of ten times it is not shown when I tune in to an ILS frequency, however, for example at EHEH it is also not shown when I tune to the airport beacon.Does this have to do with settings or anything else?Thanks and regards,Maurice

Dear PMDG TeamI am repainting the 737-900 atm and I noticed that there are 2 night texture .psd's missing in the provide paintkits from the main site (all three of them -600/-700 and -8900):pmdg_737NGX_tailnight.psdpmdg_737NGX_wings_night.psdand the pmdg_737NGX_fuselage_1_night_2.psd and pmdg_737NGX_fuselage_2_night2.psd are not matching up with the -900 series as the spot light is not extended to the edge of the boarder to the right which then results in a grayed-out dark area which shows on the aircraft to have no lighting.What is the solution to this if it is not available or, would you know why it is not included in the paint kit?Please adviceThanks

All, I have just completed the first tutorilal flight with the 737-800. As a first time user of any PMDG products I have to say bravo!! I have FS Commander with up to date navigraph data. I created a flight from KDEN-KLAS and loaded it into the FMC as a CO route. following the steps from the tutorial I was able to set most it up but of course there is a big difference in the EU flight and I cannot get v-speeds probably because I have something wrong. The tutorial mentions TOPCAT and I am willing to buy this as well if it will help me understand the set up better. I really want to get the most out of this gorgeous 737. Hi,Given that the next Microsoft Flight is more arcade-oriented, the future of cockpit-builders is X-Plane 10.There are no more options.X-plane 10 has the lack of not having an airplane like your NGX.I think its NGX along with the new X-Plane would be an unbeatable combination.Do we have any chance to have their aircraft operating in X-plane?I read in other forums that in the FSweekend could see a NGX beta versions working on X-plane 10...Regards,Agus

Well since I live near BFI and RNT where the holy 737s are produced, I started noticing a small change to the engine's nozzle shape and now that more airlines like AS, AA, VB, SW, RY, etc. are getting these, what are the chances of PMDG doing a small update into this mod? would appreciate your input. i would like to set a default "zoom" when loading the NGX. currently a working zoom is 30 but if I need to change the second officers settings, the screen automatically zooms to 45.I would ideally like to set a default zoom setting say at 35friendly advice as usual would be really appreciated. :Peace:thanksMel

Hello all. being an avid flightsimmer back in junior high/high school ( read: thats all i did), i have been away from it since 2009. well last week the bug has bit and i did a format c of the hard drive, found my FSX CD and got everything up and running. and then....i purchased the 737NGX, and that is where the oh boy comes from. i had the md-11 when i was a simmer so i knew what to expect, but wow, the 737NGX is on a whole new level. so just wanted to tell the team great job and cant wait to become proficient in this beautiful aircraft!!Adam

How does one restore PFD from cold and dark ? I checked the operation mannual vol1 ( starting procedures) but did not see anything on that. You know how that in the flight tutorial 1 when you enter each step of programming the CDU you will see your progress step by step as you procceed on the glass display, Could this be related to not being able to enter in a gate no. In the CDU. What am I missing here?

I have been practicing several approaches and missed approaches, some with rejected landings from 50' today, and I have noticed a strange but consistent behavior with respect to FD modes.If below 400', you cannot engage a lateral FD mode. Passing 400', I select LNAV with the vertical mode still in TOGA. When it comes time to accelerate and clean up, I select LVL CHG which post the MCP SPD in the FMA. When I press LVL CHG, the lateral FD mode switches from LNAV to HDG! I have seen this happen several times now to the point where I can say that it's consistently happening. Hi I'm Emil Nilsson.I was making a flight between Arlanda and Gatwick with Virtual Norwiegan on Vatsim earlier this day. The flight is going perfectly fine until I got a "proceed direct KOPUL". I went to the FMC, then LEGS, then i took the "KOPUL" waypoint and put it at the top of the LEGS page. I noticed that when I pressed in the waypoint over the original one, the "execute" button did not light up (it didn't respond.) I pressed "execute" and the waypoint popped up at the top of the LEGS page, but I noticed that the speeds and altitudes to the right of all waypoints were not there anymore. I have been playing around trying to use one of my GoFlight modules to set/remove the chocks and connect/disconnect the GPU. The good news is I have been able to do it, the bad is that they appear then immediatly disappear.I found that NGXWheelChocks is the Lvar and when equal to 1 chocks are set. The problem is the system still reads what is set in the CDU in the FS section - so if the CDU displays removed and I try ipc.writeLvar("L:NGXWheelChocks",1) they chocks appeary momentary but the CDU never updates. I have also tried ipc.set but no luck there either. Sme holds true for the GPU. Any ideas?ThanksKevin

i typed one ICAO code into the POS INIT page. And there goes its coordinate. But if i typed a gate number of that airport it shows NOT IN THE DATA BASE I tried a lot of airports. the problem remains. So, how can i manually modify FSX files to add gates coordinates?

Last year, sometime after the release of the 737NGX, I made a 'personal checklist' based on the official tutorial. It showed every step you had to take in order to fly the tutorial without having to actually read everything and figure out which steps you actually had to do to get things done.Last week I edited that checklist: I made it a general checklist, so without the specific numbers and waypoint etc. from the tutorial, changed the order a bit, and I added everything you need to DO to get the plane in the air from cold and dark and back to cold and dark again at the gate. I call it 'short' because it doesn't contain things you have to check (apart from an item or two)…

Hi guys, I'm painting mi first livery, for my VA... but i've some thoughts about the night lighting on te vertical tail of the NGX 738.In the most liveries that i have (released by PMDG such as KLM, AUA, S7 atc or downloaded for avisim) the logo lighting is not visible... also for the official PMDG livery the logo lights seems to not exist.How can i do to have also the logo lights on my NGX??

After searching this forum for my problem and not finding a topic on it...here I go now. :)Ever since I installed " SP1b " I get greeted with this view in 2d mode in all NGX models. I can zoom out to get a better forward view, but without " SP1b " I get a more normal 2d panel view. Just wondering if, I am the only one having this problem or it is already a known issue and is it planned on being corrected?
