Hican anyone else who uses the Hugs tell me if part of the display goes behind the leather hand rest.i use Ezdok and when i get a bit of turbulance the cockpit moves and the compass rose part of the Hugs goes behind part of the Glareshield.Obviously if it's on the Glass part of the hugs that is in front of the glareshield so should not disappear behind any part of the cockpit.if you see what i mean.sort of like when the clouds used to go behind the moon in fs5.1:-)no big deal ,just wondered if it was my settings or other people have noticed it as well. steve-0

I want to help the FMC out as best As I can with Winds Aloft information.The only place I know to enter in Winds aloft is on the Perf Init page, is there anywhere else?Also what is the easiest ways to find ACCURATE winds aloft for specific routes, I am using Active sky 2012 does it tell you those winds?Thanks Evan Thrams

How do you make a comfortable 22-24c for the passengers while you are still at the gate and NOT using the APU or engine ? (Packs on)I dont see the Temperature rise in the cockpit for the CabinAnother thingIsolation Valve = Open meens that the L+R two sides is not "connected" and Isolation Valve = Closed meens then that air can flow between the 2 sides ?ThanksMichael

I bought the NGX two month ago and.. yeah since then... i haven´t flown anything else.. So basically it would be fine to get everything back what i paid for the PMDG MD11 etc :LMAO:Okay, just kidding.Actually i wanted to say thank you PMDG for giving us such a great addon. Since i have it, i want to fly it everyday :D Sometimes, i switch on my computer with the idea of taking the MD11 for a longer flight.... and then i pick up the NGX and do some short hops in eurooe. The VC is simply the best available VC for FSX! And the level of detail is stunning, everything works like it is described in the manuals.Thank you again PMDG and keep your brilliant work up :good:Alex

One for the Southwest fans.. Another new 700 is delivered..Note the "new" RNP capable layout, which includes VNAV,and the PFD-ND display layout.Before they converted the "classics" to RNP capable, theyused the EFIS-MAP layout, and had no VNAV. The VNAVbutton on the old ones just had a blank covering it up.So they are running VNAV now, but I believe they still handfly all landings using the HGS. It seems that my options are not saving when i change them in the FMC. for instance, when i change the IRS align time to realistic from the default fast setting, the next time i fly the NGX the setting is back to Fast. is anyone else experiencing this, or is this normal? thanksadam

Hi allI have recently had a few issues with FSX which has promted me to uninstall it and re-install. The reason for this is i had a new PC and installed FSX to the default location while using windows 7 (not clever - i know).My 737NGX was working beautifully before the unistall though (it was FP software that promted me to uninstall FSX!!) previously in the default location.However, after doing a clean uninstal of FSX (as per the unistall steps posted on the PDMG website), my FSX crashes when i select the 737NGX (windows returns a fatal error and re-starts FSX). I can load and fly any other AC (includeing the PDMG 747-400) but numerous attempts with at loading 737NGX are …

All I see from the 2D cockpit is the rwy/taxiway immediately in front of the nose. This surely is not natural and is incredibly difficult to work with.Is there anything that I can do to correct this? I have tried the SHIFT and BACKSPACE keys but they do not adjust it anywhere close to the natural level.ThanksMike

I am currently in the market for a new computer to enhance my FSX/NGX experience. My current specs are:AMD DUAL CORE 2.7Ghz3G RamWin7 64Nvidia 8800GT 524Mb.I get around 13-15fps with the ngx at small airports - Not able to fly in New York or anything like that, which is why I need an upgrade. However, I am not what you would call computer savvy. So I was hoping I could get some advice on a system that would allow me to get acceptable performance to be able to fly to any (default) airport. Hello everyone,before I continue my issues with livery and activation codes have been solved (thanks for the help!)Anyway Im asking this question so I can achieve something at my virtual airline, having my name on the top landings wall. Is there any techniques on "greasing the landing" on a 737? I want to get it down to about at least -50fpm, I read about someones technique to greasing a 747 (initiate flare at 50 radio alt and reduce the fpm and at 10 radio alt retard the throttles to idle) but the 747 and 737 having a significant size difference I thought there would be a different way. I wonder if any of the 737NGX wizards have an answer to this. Woukd be appreciated.Done many, many flights with the 737NGX from the-600 to the -900.Just took off from CYVR, aircraft prepared, trimmed, etc using TOPCAT. VNAV, LNAV, N1 take-off. Clean take-off at V2. At 1500 feet, went as usual to select AP, and it would not engage at all, and FMC flashing 'Buffet Alert'(using Jeppessen downloaded weather). No matter what I tried, could just not get AP to engage. Hello All,I have a question or two regarding real-life use of the HGS/HUD. I had heard that some US airlines require (by SOP) use of the HGS for landing. Does anyone happen to know which airlines that might be? Also, besides the airlines in the US, are there other airlines around the world that require use of the HGS for approach/landing? I always strive to be as realistic to real world operations as I can be, and with such an integral device such as the HGS, I would be interested in knowing what airlines require its use if I'm flying say, an AA flight, or DL, or WS, WN etc...Thanks for any answers!

Strange this one. In the NGX and the J41.I fly along in the cruise, frames about 40 to 50, no weather, skies clear, no fancy scenery, REX off, not over a detailed airport. And...Wham!Frame rate drops to 5, yes 5.Stays like that, doesn't budge. Untill...I hit alt/enter and go to windowed mode, frame rate immediately shoots back up to normal. Back to 40-50.I hit alt/enter again back to full screen, and all is well.Doesn't happen that often, but I'm very curious as to why this happens.Andy ideas chaps? I'd like to eliminate this if possible.

HiJust wondering, I am about to do a fresh install of FSX and will be re installing the NGX.I have the base package and 600-700 expansion as well.It seems my download link has expired so no option of downloading latest most uptodate software inc service packs etc so I have to install from all the files I have downloaded locally since purchase including all the service packs and expansion packs hot fixess etc.So my questions is I know there is specific order this should be done but is there a reference to this any were as I do not know the correct order to install everything.Thanks

It doesn't happen too often but every once in a while I need to save the flight and load it later on. Up to now this never ever worked out well... There is always something wrong and not working. Did anyone ever load a saved flight and had EVERYTHING the way it was at the moment of saving? I just did a flight where after loading most of the things were restored but VNAV was disconnected and there is no way I can turn it on again. Things like that. Why isn't it possible to save and load a flight and simply go on where you left without having to fix all kinds of things? As it is now I simply won't save flights anymore because it's useless.

When setting up for tutorial 1 the following comes from the tutorial regarding derating. My question is since it is 8c in Denver right now and if I were flying is 8c what I would enter in LSK1 "SEL/OAT. In other words alway enter the departure tempurature. Type 40 into the scratchpad and line select it into LSK 1L to enter an additional assumed temperature of 40C on top of the fixed derate. If I put my legs in manually on yhe fmc everthing for the most part is good. However sometimes when I put in a sid and star the leg program comes up with a gap saying distination route ended it shows the 4 squares. sometimes ive been able to move the waypoint up and it works but not all the time plus you cant delete it. Whats the trick to make it flow when the "Then" and squares come up?
