PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hi,Like alot of you guys i use TOPCAT for calculating my Takeoff speeds and engine settings and as a result given a relativ safety runway margin as well.I have 2 questions. 1. I cant find any Tabel in FCOM that provides with the same information so i must have missed something and btw what do real pilots use to calculate this ? They must have some easy tabels printed out. (like i have with the Maddog for FLEX)2. In TOPCAT we have a safety margin . Is this also stated in official boeing calculations methods?Off topic but related to TOPCATFor landing calculating VREF we have LDR (Landing distance required) and "actual" . Why do we need 2 different facts ?ThanksMichael

Hi,After launching the NGX in a multiplayer once, quitting the sim and restarting the MP Session results in a CTD every time "JOIN" is clicked to actually launch the 3D world.It requires a restart of the computer to be able to re-join a MP sesion with the NGX after the first connection.I have also suffered a crash due to TCAS in MP environment. It crashed in PMDG_Options_3.DLL (if I have the module name correct) but unfortunately I didn't get the crash details. I'll post again if I see it.Generally the NGX works fine in an MP environment. Just reinstall WOS B377 and one feature I notice with the 377 is the fact that you have a tiller axis that is seperate from the rudder pedals.I have a joystick which I use for a tiller with your fantastic 737,plus rudder pedals which interfere with each other.I was thinking why hasnt PMDG done the same as A2A.?cheers frester

Hello, i bought both the base package and 600/700 a few weeks ago, and was wondering if the installers automatically had the SP1B update in them? or do i have to still seperatly run the SP1B for both the 800/900 and 600/700? i ask because i was browsing through my downloads folder that when i downloaded the 800/900 base package i guess the 800/900 SP1B was also downloaded as a seperate folder and i never ran the SP1B installer assuming that since i bought the plane after the service pack came out it was already the updated version? is there any way to check and see which one i have installed? thanksadam

Hello,After I installed SP1b I noticed that the runway centreline (In 2D cockpit or VC) is in the centre of my screen (it looks like the nose gear is inline with the yoke) instead of in the centre of my aircraft. In outside view the nose gear is on the centreline. This happens not only with PMDG but also with default aircraft). Does anybody know a way to get the centerline in the correct location?Thanks and regards,Maurice

Just recently I noticed whenever I select any of the 2D cockpit items whether it's the full forward instrument panel or just an individual panel like the FMC it appears but is transparent and ghost-like in appearance. This is especially annoying with the full forward panel displayed because you can see through it and ground objects are visible like taxi way lines and ground equipment. Hi,I just had an annoying CTD happen to me.I wasn't infront of my PC and missed the descent and the aircraft was already flying the M/A procedure. When I tried to select a new runway, FSX just crashed.Here's a thought:I know software is never going to be 100% bug free (I'm a dev myself). What about trying to catch unhandled exceptions and in this case just completely reset the FMC. If the real boxes freeze up, you can just reset them through C/Bs. I'm not saying we need a C/B simulation, but just reset the ol' thing if something strange happens since you can still continue to fly and frankly, this will add a new level of 'realism'.And I guess 90% of all CTD's are caused b…

And I have some simple but fundamental questions.I'm a software developer with years of coding in most languages and I'm an experienced hardware builder. I'm also a pilot (just not current). Hi guys, For me the holidays are here and I am hoping to get caught up with some NGX flying after having only enjoyed this plane in short after release. Downloaded SP1b and hit the EGKK-EHAM Tutorial to refresh my memory with Auto-land procedures and basic in flight operations. Unfortunatly a few OOM's have been ruining my experience since SP1b installation. Firstly I took off from EGKK and only got as far as the DET D5 with its 6000ft restriction before i was randomly forced to desktop (without any dialog popup). Did a quick search did not find any detailed info on this.I am looking to purchase a system from Flightdecksolutions but Peter explained for the NGX to work PMDG needs to release the SDK. HelloFor some unknown reason to me, when in stable cruise flight with the 737NGX and CMD on, LNAV and VNAV PTH annunciated and active, the AFDS suddenly disconnects VNAV and reverts to CWS P? I cannot re-engage VNAV without having to disconnect CMD. I have completed flights in VNAV and LNAV modes without incident many times however occassionaly this sudden (and random occurances) of VNAV disconnect happens. I am using the Eclipse flight yoke by CH Products. Is it possible my flight yoke is causing this random problem???John

I have started in VC my mouse is working and I get a white arrow when I hover over OHP items I get the hand to adjust knobs etc, however if I hover over MCP or the displays I get the arrow and no hand to adjust them, any ideas please. Hi to everybody.I've a problem with the ngx, that's to say I don't find a table or scheme in the manuals for calculating the fuel.In the 747 pmdg there a chapter to explain the fuel and tabels for indicatin the fuel consumption referring to the altitude and distance.For the ngx I dont find anything like this.So how to do it?Thanks

Ive been over the tutorial and I see that to use a high route lets say J65 or low V495 (routes from Seattle to portland) you need to enter from a waypoint such as Cidug on V495. However I always get not in data base which is strange becuase they are commen routes I would think. Any help on getting on victor airways...providing there in the system, or does it really matter as long as you input the waypoint into the FMC Rte page?

Hi,Just wondering if a utility like Rob Barendrecht's push back could be used by the NGX. I'm having a lot of issues with the build-in push back system, you always have to sort of estimate where you're going to end up after the push and most of the time I end up on the grass or in another airplane.I would very much prefer a pushback where I can steer the plane myself. EAS maybe ?

On doing some reading, it appears that the common RW flight scenario has the flight crew entering the cockpit a little more set up than "cold and dark". I assume that is why PMDG included a panel state called "Short Ground Turn", to simulate this condition.However, when searching this forum and Googling this subject, i cannot find any Check list or Tutorial that gets you from this condition to airborn.Is there such a thing?Regards,
