I know I'm pushing it this time :)Here's what I did:only started the left engine (right one was off, 0% N1/N2) and took off! (Yes this is possible but requires a little skill)Once settled down at around 1000 ft AGL and at 230 kts, I noticed my right engine was still showing 0% N1/N2 and thus wasn't windmilling. At that speed, the engine should be spinning pretty fast.I then tried to start the right engine using X-Bleed, but nothing happened. Although the starter valve was open, N1/N2 didn't increase. Now I know no sane person would try this in real life, and probably no one tried this with the NGX before, this IS actually done in the real sim if there is some time left jus…

Help!!two things are happening that I have no idea why, I set the FMC as instructed, enter weights, V1 thru to VR, Full Route with a cruise altitude. When I get airborn I can arm the throttle but when i select LNAV LVL change, or VNAV the plane goes nose down and tries to go supersonic!! What am I doing wrong?I also see in the FMC from time to time Unable Cruz Alt, I have searched the documentation and Gogle away but nothing comes back for this. Oh and also I get a flashing A next to the selected speed which i believe is low speed unachievable??? Again not sure what I am doing wrong. please help a frustrated man!

Hi,I just tried a complete hyd failure scenario and I find manual reversion not that realistic. Again, I'm just rated on the classics but I believe the NG should be very similar in this regard. Although the control forces are much higher, the '37 can actually be flown pretty stable in manual reversion. Not so with the NGX (the deflection is very limited)I think a more realistic simulation of manual reversion would be to slowly increment the control wheel to the user's input. So let's say I fully deflect my yoke to the left, the yoke in the simulation will just slowly (say after 10 seconds) move to the fully left deflection. Same if I return to the center - the yoke in the …

Hey all,When flying a star to approach, I noticed a few oddities. If the end of the star coincides with the first fix in the approach, all is easy. If they differ then either:1) there will be a (vectors) entry in the legs page to indicate atc transition, or2) there will be a discontinuity in the legs pageHow should 2) be dealt with. Ive noticed this even occasionaly when the star should include vectors as per the chart. Whats the right procedure here? Fly it with the discontinuity, or somehow insert a (vectors) leg in the FMC (if so, how?)Thanks!George

Hello everyone, I'm experiencing some serious issues with the NGX. Everytime I want to exit a flight with the engines and systems running, FSX crashes. When I exit with everything shut down, it brings me back to the menu screen without crashing. Also, today during a flight with random failures enabled, I tried to open the map in the FSX menu to look for my destination runway and ILS frequency, I also got CTD.What could cause this? Don't know if it's too demanding for my cpu (AMD Phenom 2 X4 3,1GHz) since with this aircraft it doesn't run quite smooth at all...I also have REX 2.0 + Overdrive installed. Maybe there are some relations causing this problem?

Hi Guys,Maybe this has been posted previously?Fresh install of FSX and the latest FSUIPC then fresh install of NGX. Started FSX with "Run as Administrator" and all fires up nicely, no problems with NGX.NOW THE PROBLEM:Go to open FSUIPC ..the horrid.....CTD.I have access to FSUIPC with any of the default aircraft but not NGX.Any assistance would be appreciated.

I have a quick question, regarding the use of a Spoiler axis on a single lever of a Saitek throttle. I know if I pull the lever about a 1/4 inch the spoilers will arm, but since the Saitek throttle is a physical axis and doesn't move with the NGX's spoiler lever, on Auto Spoiler landings the Saitek axis prevents the auto-spoiler from deploying. Is there anyway to circumnavigate this? Maybe possibly disconnecting the NGX from reading the physical hardware axis only during auto-spoiler movements? This way we can still ARM them without losing the actual automatic deployment. Thanks for your input.Angelo

Good afternoon everyone there,Could you please help me with one doubt? When aircraft is in Cold & Dark predefined state, position lights switch is in steady position (I don't know if this is a bug). When external power is requested, switch from overhead panel still not connected and only ground power available is illuminated, the nav lights are on.I thought that although the switch is in steady position the nav lights will not illuminate until the ground power or battery is connected from the cabin.Am I right or not? Could someone please explain the real performance of nav lights? Thanks for your help.Xiropillo

Hi,to show you guys I'm not just complaining:hats off to you guys for the most realistic simulation I have ever seen for MSFS!Even small details that I have never seen in other simulations have been modelled:- windmilling engines can provide hyd pressure as long as they are running fast enough- same goes the engine generator- non-documented (unofficial) features of the real 737 have been modelled like single autopilot autoland (you won't find this in the FCOM)- autopilot actually moving flight controls and not just pitch trim- automatic activation of the generators if the APU is turned off in flight (once)These are the things that make a simulation feel alive!RegardsMark

Hi,Dear PMDG, is it possible to get an import function from AS2012 to the FMC for weather (winds) forecasts? It would make life a lot easier and since in real life, pilots normally import this data via ACARS it would make it more realistic as well.....

I've been away from FSX and the NGX for the past few months. I'm currently re-installing FSX as I write this, and will be installing the NGX shortly after. I believe I have the release edition of the NGX, I bought it about a week after release, and also have the 600/700 expansion. What updates are required? Also, because I am lazy right now, can someone point me to the thread about changing the 2D viewpoint?

  15. Hi all,It seems like the aircraft is not responding to rudder input when trying to de-crab before touch down. However, when main wheels touch down the rudder input responds very well. But while in the air (at de-crabing) I have the feeling that the rudder is not aligning at all the airplane with the runway's centerline.Watching some real world crosswind landing I notice that de-crabing is made very easy even with a small rudder input, swinging the airplane immediately the airplane's tale.Is this just my feeling? Thanks,Christos

I was just flying a normal route from LEPA to ENGM, and was looking through stuff in the cockpit, when I realised that there was a "button or a switch" between some of the buttons on the WX panel (beneath the Cargo Fire panel). One of them for instance, turned on the Co pilot light that is mounted in the third Eyebrow window. Can someone test this for me, so I know it's not a bug or a glitch?I did not find any posts about this in the forum from before, so I just wanted to share this.

Hi All I have two monitor setup running through the 1 card but due to a crappy limitation in FSX cant use the second monitor in FSX full screen mode, anybody using FSWIDE setup to run stuff like EFB, FSC9, RC4, ASE etc etc on the FSWIDE client PC and do you notice it helps with the performance at all on the FSX PC, do you think its worth the effort to have a third monitor to display moving map, weather, charts etc etc etc, my initial opinion was that it detracts from reality by having charts and moving maps on a seperate monitor but stuff is moving that way in real life, thanks for any advice offered

What is the correct positions for the packs and isolation valve when parked at the gate with external air conditioning unit connected? Then to anti-ice...have read lots of posts about this and also checked the doc but I'm still a bit confused...could someone who really knows for fact or even better a real driver tell me in short words what the correct procedure is for using wing and engine anti-ice during cold weather operation? When should the wing/engine anti-ice switches be turned ON/OFF during the different phases of a normal flight...taxi, t/o, climb, cruise, descent, landing, taxi...?Thanks in advance!

I noticed that on the real 737NG, the standby gauges are completely backlit.http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g429/halcyon201/1784549.jpgBut in the NGX, just the lettering/numbers and the needles are illuminated.http://www.precision...mdg_ngx_vc2.jpgAny way to change that?

  22. I just finished uploading it to Avsim. If I didn't forget anything, it should be available in a few hours. It has two .ptp files. One for the clean non-WL and a weathered winglet version. Panel options are included, but you can customize it to your liking.

Why does the center fuel pump switches switch to ON automaticly when I load fuel in the center tank. I know they are supposed to be on when there is fuel in the tank but why can't I switch them to on when the other pumps are supposed to be switched to on in the "before start" checklist?

HiCan any RW Pilot or Engineer tell me what an average fuel arrival figure would be on the B737-800 for a cost conscious airline. I appreciate this depends on Alternates, Weather and ATC, which is why I'm looking for an average figure. Thanks, Glen
