My observation is the following :ANP on the ground by default, with all sensor position update selected to ON, is close to .06, which makes sense. Before the SP1, when I used to turn off the GPS update under the NAV OPTIONS section of the FMC menus, the sim frame rate would immensely suffer. This is now corrected.I am now turning the GPS update to OFF, and even after a 60 minutes flight, the ANP still lags around .06. Same result when I turn off in turn the VOR, DME and LOC update. The " IRS Nav only" messages then pops up in the scratch pad, which is normal. I was expecting the ANP value to start going up gradually as a result of an OPS software algoritthm that accounts …

I had only performed ILS landings up until a few days ago with the NGX, so this was never a problem, but when I tried to perform a VOR/DME approach with VNAV, I noticed that the FMC said that the E/D was around 40 feet higher than it actually was, which resulted in the plane wanting to land in the trees beyond the runway. The glide path seemed to work just fine, though--had the airport been at the altitude that the FMC said it was, I would have touched down right on the runway. I checked this at another airport and it still holds true. The main problem is that you can't change the E/D altitude. Any ideas? Do I have to update my Navigraph data?Thanks,boeing247

How realistic is descending using standard VNAV/LNAV combined with IAN where one should expect using ILS. ILS approach is chosen in FMC. So..using IAN (by hitting the APP button) so it follows the ILS glide path down to minimums or FAF and then taking over manually (turning off A/P and A/T). I think it works quite well in PMDG. Is it realistic? Good weather conditions. Any risks performing this kind of approach -geir

I got this unable message tonight while decending to the KOOLY 4 arrival to KPHX. ITEMM Is the first waypoint in the STAR, and has a restriction of 280kts and FL240. It didn't make sense to me why the FMC was unable, and sure enough it blew the airspeed restriction, flying the waypoint at 261kts. Note that 280 was well below the barber pole at that altitude. After that is another 280kt waypoint and it unabled that one too. At this point is used spd int to override, and the autothrottle came up to MCP SPEED, and we hit the next waypoint on altitude and speed. So the question is, why the unable? Thanks!George

Is there a way to clear the messages in the EICAS display? For example I had a yaw damper failure that was initiatied by activating the yaw damper switch before the IRS alignment, the EICAS now displays "NO LAND 3"I read that this can be cleared by reseting the Flight Controls B, but I've had no success by doing this.Thank YouSincerelyJesus H

Hi,I tried entering a FIX with two radials that were shown on the ND. Well, my framerate dropped from 45 to around 18 sitting at the gate. I cleared the FIX and voila, back to 45 FPS. Is this a known bug?ThanksMark

Hey guys, sorry if that that has been covered before but I didn't find an answer so I ask now.I'm currently on enroute from Chicago to Baltimore and have now a bit of time to discover new functions in the FMC. I've managed to get custom waypoints for VOR's, for example an waypoint 5 miles from VOR ORD on radial 260. That did work as expected but I now trie to get waypoints on the route, for example an custom waypoint 10 miles before the waypoint ANEWA (which I'm currently approaching). I did search the manual but I couldn't get it.

This question isn't directly related to the ngx but I'm sure someone here will be able to answer it.Why when an aircraft is refueling at the gate and passengers are onboard does the captain leave the seatbelt sign off and request passengers not to fasten their seatbelt?TIADanny

  14. Tail # N8301JOur -800 adventure starts small in April, with just two aircraft overnighting at Chicago Midway and Baltimore/Washington and flying to and from Florida. After that, the -800 fleet will grow gradually, adding two more on April 22, two more on May 13, and by the August schedule, we’ll have more than 20 -800s flying longer-haul routes such as Chicago Midway to the West Coast, between Baltimore/Washington and California, and between Florida and Las Vegas. These flights will carry the equipment code “73H.”Hanging over head getting ready for some wings.Ill post some more pics when I get more updates within the company!

Right, Well I'm saving up for a new computer but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to get the mother of all computers that will set me back £2000. All I want is something that will run FSX + NGX and a few scenery add-ons and possibly REX, along with anti-aliasing. I've found this one that is at a reasonable price of £664.93. What do you think of the specs and will it run what I have listed: Also, here's the link to it if anyone wants to fool around with some of the specs to see if they could improve what I've listed: click here- Case: Antec 300 Gaming Case (default choice, options available)- Power Supply: OCZ ZS 650w PSU- CPU: AMD Bulldozer FX-4 Quad Core 4100 …

Gentlemen; The autopilot sometimes will not engage, and it sometimes disengages while in flight.I know that the controls must be completely neutral, and the plane in trim, for the AP to engageupon pressing the CMD button.I have done the following:1. Calibrated my Logitech Joy Stick (Extreme 30 Pro).2. Lowered the sensitivity level for the Joy Stick.3. Turned OFF the realistic engagement option (FMC-Menu-setup-Option-Equipment).4. In FSUIPC set up module in the Misc page checked boxes to control spike elimination for rudder, elevator and aileron.5. While in flight disabled the Joy Stick and tried to engage CMD with no success, indicating that the cause was not…

  19. I have noticed the autopilot is extremely temperamental and jerky since the patch and even cuts out violently at times. I almost did a 360 degree barrel roll in 1 second last night it cut out so violently. It was really odd. Non of my joystick or other settings are set remotely close to sensitive, and I have set sizable null zones as well to prevent this sort of thing. I have also noticed the plane bounces quite a bit at addon airports when changing views (namely FSDT's) post 737NGX800-900 patch 1b. but less so at stock FSX airports, although still noticeable. Maybe the contact points got altered a bit or something? Idk. I was thinking it may have been an issue with FSD…

Hi people,I'm interested in any tidbits of info RL 737 pilots are able to offer me (in fact, any large jet drivers) with respect to APU use. I recently saw something somewhere (I can't remember whether it was read or seen) in which Southwest Airlines were advising pilots not to run the APU before start to run the power, packs and pressurisation system, and it had saved them around $15 million a year in fuel (I think - this figure may be unreliable - I'm not priviy to RW figures, I just seem to remember this one)Obviously, prior to this, some different kind of standard procedure was in effect? I'm interested in the use of APU and ground cart for before-start bus power/blee…

Hey guys ! I´m new here, and I would like to join to "PMDG users community", but I have problem. If I loaded the aircraft; all the gauges were black. I mean not black because of they were turned off . I also tried to push any buttons, but they are not working at all, NO ONE of them. Also no animations are presented in flight (column, levers, flaps, etc. ) Thanks for response ideas and any kind of helpRegards Jan

  24. Is it possible in SP1C to include a toggle for the fuel cutoff switches?Right now they have separate idle/cutoff commands through the CDU key commands. The problem is I want to put my fuel cutoff switches on the bottom half of two rocker switches to my Saitek throttle quad, not use one entire rocker switch for each cutoff lever.Any chance this can happen, PMDG?

Hi guys, I'm flying the NGX now since two months and it's every time an excitement to fly it. I'm currently on enroute from Phoenix to Minneapolis and I've noticed something I found every time flying the NGX: the fuel gauges disagree. I've loaded 21000lb via the FMC for that route and it's correctly shown on the fuel gauge on the engines display. But the FMC tells me on the PERF and PROG page that I have 21200lb fuel on board. It's allways these 200lb difference. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong?!
