Gentlemen;The autopilot sometimes will not engage, and it sometimes disengages while in flight.I know that the controls must be completely neutral, and the plane in trim, for the AP to engageupon pressing the CMD button.I have done the following:1. Calibrated my Logitech Joy Stick (Extreme 30 Pro).2. Lowered the sensitivity level for the Joy Stick.3. Turned OFF the realistic engagement option (FMC-Menu-setup-Option-Equipment).4. In FSUIPC set up module in the Misc page checked boxes to control spike elimination for rudder, elevator and aileron.5. Its been awhile since I've seen one of these types of threads, and I always enjoyed reading where everyone was flying or parked around the world with their NGX.I'm currently cruising at FL 350 about to cross near N41 W141 with AS flight 875. My route today is,SEA.HAROB4.HQM..WIDEN..46N30..43N38..39N44..35N48..30N53..ZOULU..ZIGIE..LIHThe "magic box" is telling me I'm 174NM from crossing my 39N44 waypoint.FOB is 28.1Take off Fuel was 43.3 (42.5 was required)Landing Fuel is showing at 11.6 (plenty on board due to ETOPS reserve and lighter then planned winds)...I'm currently 37 minutes from my planned ETOPS Critical Point (CP). Hello folks, I tried the default record option in fsx and FSrecorder but when watching a flight, the landing gear won't retract, gauges and the whole flight system don't work and the aircraft sometimes moves quite strange..Is any software out there that actually records flights correctly when flying the NGX?RegardsMax

Hi Everyone,I just got a new Alienware machine and ported over all of the PMDG aircraft.However, the 737NGX Livery manager keeps crashing everytime I try to install a livery.Anyone any idea what's causing this? I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Heinz

How can i get the displays to look more smooth, even if running 30 fps the gauges are not as smooth as other add-ons running the same frame rate?

Hello guys, good day to all.I have 2 quick questions:1.- Whats a MAX ANGLE climb? I mean, its names tells you what it is, but when will one use it? I have heard ATCs telling pilots to use their best rate, but never their max angle.2.- On the TAKEOFF REF page (the one where you specify the CG, V speeds, etc.) you have the option of toggling QRH on or off. What is it and what does it do? I'm guessing QRH means something different than quick reference handbook in this case.Regards,Armando Arjona

Hi Everyone:Took 3 flights today in the NGX. 2 of 3 of them I simply lost my brakes - autobrakes were armed and set to 3, and I was able to slow to kts. so the auobrakes worked, but then as soon as I retarded the reversere thrusts and tried to brake the aircraft manually, no matter what I did I could not slow the aircraft. It EVENTAULLY stopped after I turned off the RWY and headed a long way down the taxiways, but that was at least 90 seconds later. No mater how many times I hit the brakes nothing happened (and it even said "brakes" in red at the lower left of the screen as it always does. ) Is this a programmed failure? In case it's of any interest to anybody...A while ago I mentioned an issue I had with the NGX and all of my add-ons actually, where i would have high frame rate till I flew over REX water. As I did so, the frame rate would plummet, a loss of 50%.No problem at an AA setting of 8XS, but very apparent at 8XSQ.I manged to fix the issue as follows...In Nvidia Inspector, set anisotropic filtering to application controlled, rather than the recommended setting in the PMDG general forum. Anisotropic should be ticked on of course in FSX,No frame rate loss at all now over REX water at 8XSQ.

Okay not sure what to do here. When NGX installed it made its own custom spotlight bitmap for the landing lights. However it been awhile since I used the MD-11 so was going to use that now at RKSI and its night time there. There is an issue with the MD-11 Landing lights and you have to use a custom spot for the lights to show up correctly instead of way ahead and off to the right of the runway. Well I forgot to backup the Spotlight for the NGX. So can I get this file somewhere without having to reinstall the ngx again? Looks like when I switch between the NGX and the MD-11 I am going to have to use different spots.

Never been able to use the CLD&DRK panel ? When I try the pilot side FMC states loading panel and freeze's up , The FO's side although works. the only way I can get the C&D is by shutting everything off and starting over, Could I have a corrupt file?

I was flying the ngx today and I was getting horrible fps and I when i fly the md11 with mcphat textures and I get really good fps but when I am in the ngx cockpit the fps are horrible. I have one of the best processors made and my full specs are in my signature. I'm not sure what to do?

I need a little advice on installing the 600/700. Tried to install earlier today and had problems like not loading the visual model error when selecting the 600 in Free Flight and corrupted textures. I think I know now waht the problem was but want to ask here before I botch things up any further. As of now I went ahead and uninstalled the 600/700 and have downloaded the "PMDG_737_8900_NGX_SP1b as this seems to be a neccessary precurser. I posted a few moons ago that I would get a brief but recurrent hiccough when flying the NGX and others chimed in w/ possible solutions including disabling auto-save in FSUIPC, nV driver issues, interference from FSPax, the latest service pack, etc. My issue seemed to disappear more or less after installing one of the SP's. I have had this happen a few times lately again, seemingly right out of nowhere. I've rebooted and had this nasty stutter (it's more like a 1-second complete pause) happen again despite reboots. Getting a message stating 'Your computer has run out of available memory.' It then goes on to say that I need to tweak settings in scenery etc to reduce demand on memory. At this stage I haven't left the FSX Free Flight screen. So I have loaded FSX, walked away for a while and returned to find the memory message. I restarted and watched the whole process and the selected rotating 737NGX starts up in skeleton form then slowly the outer skin is drawn. After about a minute it returns to skeleton form and I get the memory alert.I have tried ******* Altuve FSX.CFG tweak but to no evail.
