    I have found that using[JOBSCHEDULER]Affinitymask =14or any value in the FSX.CFG file does not work. Running FSX and looking in Task Manager, the CPU Affinity is always set to all cores.However, if you create a shortcut with the target at followsC:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C START "" /AFFINITY E "D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exeThis will correctly set the affinity to cores 1,2 & 3 leaving core 0 free for the system.This will also work for any program, just change the relevant path.Just thought that you would find this interesting!David Gunton

    I had to reinstall Windows7/64 and so FSX and all addons (a lot). Everything worked fine until I came to my NGX and JS41.Installing the base pack of the NGX, it did not asked me for an installation key, in the dll there are PMDG entries missing (like Options etc.) and I have only half of the cockpit. The JS41 installed fine, asked for the key, but the instruments are blank.I have checked the dll and it is correct.Any help is much appreciatedThanks Peter

    Hi Captains,Waiting for building my cockpit I'm working with 2 monitors connected over 2 video cards.Each time I start a flight I have move them and re-position PFD/ND on the 2nd one and start. Is there a way to save the position of them ?Thanks in advanceFrancescp

    This is my first time ever repainting an aircraft, and in the process taught myself how to barely use photoshop. I had a feeling I was in for some nasty little surprises when I finally loaded the textures into the sim. I am getting this effect as seen in the pics below, I am at my wits end , and I just cant figure it out, I have made sure that I cropped and resized , flipped vertically... etc. can any experienced repainter please here nudge me in the right direction?     I thought I made a previous post of this issue, but cannot find it now. If this duplicates things and it shows up later, my apologies. When my 737NGX is selected, the engines are always running. I am having trouble determining how to set up the PMDG 737NGX where when it is first selected, it will be in a cold and dark configuration without me doing anything else.     Hey,I bought 737NGX base pack a couple of days ago. I can't see the wingtips from the cockpit although I change the viewpoint. Are my wings ripped off or what? And I also can't see the nose section(or whatever it's called in English) from the cockpit window. The second issue is that some parts of the panel in front of the captain's seat are missing, this occurs only in 737-900NGX. I reinstalled and problem solved, but now the same again. What is more, I'd like to know what are the best sensitivity/ null zone settings for NGX, because I find the control column responding too slowly and it feels clumsy.PS.     Okay I am at wits end, I have tried all night to Autoland my 737-800 on the runway at Gatwick. I selected the 26L ils approach Timba1D, i put in my flap refs in teh fmc approach page I input the ils freq 110.90 in both ILS dials on the radio stack i dial in 10879 into the hgs, I dial in 259 in bother course dials on the mcp I then monior the flight as it approach the turn to est localiser, I'm at 3000ft and descending to 2000ft to lock onto the ils as per the gatwick ils chart i adjust flaps etc as required I click on the app button on the mcp and then the course dials suddenly change to 079 which is the course for the 08r runway. as I reach 5.5 dme where the glidescop…

    When i use the virtual cockpit and press shift 1 I get a similar screen to the 2D screen. However I cannot change the values on the panel eg the altitude or the heading value. The buttons show the usual hand icon when I try to change them but nothing happens on this screem. I notice that the values do end up being changed in the main virtual cockpit but not on the Shif 1 screen. All the other screens accessed with shift 1 appear to work normally.I have installed SP1 but I don't think I have upgraded to SP1b.Is this normal or am I missing something.   18. Wow, what an epic journey it has been to learn consistent landing techique with the NGX; at least for me personally. I studied the FCOM, read and re-read forum posts here on the subject, scoured the internets for real pilots' input, etc., and no matter what I would either float all the way to France or slam down hard on the runway during landings.     Like many of us, I bought this fine bird (PMDG 737NGX), cranked her up and went flying. It was much easier than I expected as complex as it is and has been a lot of fun. I never flew anything bigger than a small twin in real life, so don't claim to know anything personally about a 737 or any other heavy. However, the flight dynamics seem to be outstanding to me.     I,m not sure if this is a pmdg issue of an fsx issue . But sometimes when flying my keyboard assignments are messed up out of the blue , for example the / key does nolonger activate the airbrake but zoomes out and the ` key nolonger actives mt atc window. This couples with the imfamous occasional black screen issue makes it EXTREMELY frustrating. I thought it was the native keyboard setting in windows but changing it doesnt make a difference.     After a long wait since last May when I had a medical issue that had me loose my medical, I lost my Beechjet flying job and have had to go months waiting the FAA mandatory 6 month time period before reapplying for my medical. Back before Christmas and after many stressful medical tests for the heart, I AM BACK woohoo! Got my health cleared 100% my 1st class medical, now just GOT a job yesterday flying another Beechjet 400A for a HUGE jet charter company in the northeast with a path towards existing Gulfstreams, one on site Legacy Jet and perhaps, yes perhaps a BBJ rumored in the near future!
