February 25, 201214 yr How do you program these RNP to the FMC?IRL, you would have the approach available in the FMS to choose (so you will have for example LOC26 then RNP26), but I am afraid that Navigraph does not supply the RNP approach. One of the reasons might be it uses radius-to-fix in the missed approach, other might be that they do not have it in their source, as it is not a publically available procedure designed by Austrian CAA, but rather a commercially available procedure designed by Naverus, originally for the now-defunct SkyEurope Airlines, and approved by Austrian CAA. Although, the procedure has leaked, and has been plotted by vACC Austria into their charts database, and I can confirm it is the very same procedure designed by Naverus. The approach down to the runway (excluding missed approach portion) does only use conventional fly-by (or possibly fly-over) waypoints and can be thus programmed into current PMDG approach files, if you wish to use it. --Peter Fabian
February 25, 201214 yr Entering RNP procedures which are not in your FMS database (ie from the LEGS page - one waypoint at a time) is officially not approved - too much opportunity for input error with too great a danger of very bad outcomes if such an error remains undetected. (Outcomes of the "Very solid cloud with mountain goats standing on them" type). As such the FMS must contain the approach which is to be selected from the APP/DEP page. In FS it may be possible to add to the PMDG SID/STAR files (in the PMDG Navdata folder in the C:/Flight Simulator etc etc folder). This would require adding/editing the text and saving it, and doing this every time you update. There is a well known addon for PMDG navdata for VHHX Kai Tak which does this also. I am not aware if there is such a thing available for LOWI at this time.NZQN is in a similar boat.Regards,Trent Hopkinson Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
