I'm pleased to say that I am about to board a real Thomson 737-800 with winglets. I will be paying close attention to the cabin sounds. I'm hoping that this forum and the PMDG itsself has taught me what to do, if both pilots happened to have fish for lunch.

I have checked and rechecked all the FMC options, loaded the latest DXT files and still I do not get the 80 knots or V1 callout. Any ideas other than rechecking everything would be appreciated. Thanks Rob

Hi there, I just came across a pretty good offer for the PMDG 737 NGX (49Euro) in a large electronics store nearby. Since I wanted to purchase the 737 anyway, I bought this boxed version. I also like boxed more than downloads (just as I like CDs better than iTunes :-) ) I have not unwrapped the box yet (so I can return it) because a question about updating this boxed version came to mind. I dont know what version this 737NGX is (cause box is still sealed) Since this an Aerosoft box, do I get updates (service packs) via Aerosoft or can I get them direct from PMDG? Does anyone foresee a support problem with this box? I can still return it and go for the …

Hi, When I pull back the throttle levers and the A/T is on, the power goes down and the A/T goes off. I have to push the levers up and then press the A/T button to get the A/T to go on again and then I have to very slowly pull back on the levers and the power goes down and then back up to the setting. Any Ideas? Rob

Good evening! I've not flown in a while and today, when i did, i had no engine sounds for the 738SFP (Gol livery) Everything else was working fine (including fs2crew), except that i didnt hear my engines. I checked both the volume settings via de fmc and via fsx and they where fine. Can someonde help me out on this one? Thanks in advance Bruno Fontes SBRJ

Hello fellow Captains, Been doing some flying lately and what really freaks me out is that awful high pitch morse identifiers from my nav radio. I have been trying for hours to find a way to shut it off (Fsx settings, ACP Panel on the pedestal and aft overhead) but still no luck. How do I permanently switch them all off without having to do it over and over again? Cheers Daniel W.

I know this is not new, but last week I reinstalled my OS (win7) and fsx on new hard drives, but when I reinstalled the NGX, I have had nothing but problems. During the install process it did not ask me for the activation code, but instead asked for it after all the installs (service packs, the 6/700 etc), when I brought the NGXup in the free flight box. Is this correct, it seems like the other PMDG planes asked for the activation code in the install process. I get blue screens, sometimes the battery will not activate after setting C&D. I have modified and migrated all of the steps in the PMDG 737NGX CD to CD download to an .XML file that can be imported into AivlaSoft Electronic Flight Bag. The newly modified list adheres strickly to the steps provided in Mike Ray's 737 NG Training Syllabus. Simply copy and paste the information below into a file named as follows "FSX Boeing 737_800 Checklists.xml" and import that into EFB. Hello all, i'm thinking about to buy me a Revolution Simproducts motorized TQ for my 737 NGX on FSX. http://www.revolution-jetstream.com/Platinum_Line_Throttle.html Does somebody know, how this TQ is working with the 737NGX on FSX? Will all the motorized functions work or do i have to wait for new drivers or somethink else? I wonder if anyone can help me, I hope so. I am a recent buyer of the PMDG 737 NGX. I am an experienced simmer and previously flew the Level D 767 with no problems. When I am flying the 737NGX, if I come out and load the desktop through windows, when I alt tab to load FSX again the graphics are going crazy all scrambled. I use Manchester X, AES. and have a NVIDIA Gforce G210 graphics card. 12mb RAM windows 7, I upgraded the FSX config file. It must be something to do with PMDG 737 never had this problem before. If I esc the flight and FSX everything loads again as normal???? Thanks for any help

Hi everyone. I downloaded the Boeing Technology Demonstrator livery and I like the looks of it but noticed something that's a bit odd. There is a black line attached to the top of the tail with a 90 degree bend downwards and a small red triangle at the tip. I'm just wondering if it's supposed to be there or if it's a fault in the program. I suspect the latter. Has anyone else noticed this?

wath procédure for uninstalling manually 737ngx due to verry hard problem.y want installing my 737 ngx.zip (base)but y have the alarm:with new installation the installshied wizard has detected that version 1.00.3057 is alredy installed,this stup installs an earlier version of pmdg 737 8900 ngx (1.00.2888).you wil have to uninstalle the previous version before installing this version.y have not the uninstall.exe valid :-(((sorry for my text, due to y not speak anglish only frenchhelp meartifoni pascal

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem? On approach to Heathrow Xtreme and JFK (both payware) on 1 or 2 specific runways, the ILS system is picking up the back course frequency and attempts to auto land the plane on a taxiway or grass. I have fixed it by changing the frequency by 0.05 which the rules out any chance of the wrong frequency. Is this a known error of either PMDG or Payware airports?

Is there a cruise descend procedure that doesn't mess up the vertical profile? Say, for turbulence. If the plane descends from, say from FL360 to FL340, the VNAV goes into descend mode and the T/D gets deleted.

Hello; I have a very basic question to fill a gap in something I've obviously missed. If I am doing an approach and have NAV 1 set to the ILS approach frequency and NAV 2 set to the VOR, do I need to have the EFIS switch (left switch Captain-side) set to VOR ? I always have thought that you must have the EFIS switch set to VOR when NAV 1 is set to an approach frequency - and this is what I have always done... However, I noted today that the approach glide slope was still active when I had set the EFIS switch (left switch Captain -side) to ADF 1. Can someone provide guidance. Thank you, WilloW

Hi, today the first time, since I own the NGX I noticed following problem. I had a complete reinstall of my FSX system. At the moment I only use the NGX, Orbx Blue, FS2Crew and Opus Live Weather. I always follow the same procedures since I own the NGX. Cold and dark setup, configure my NGX, takeoff, enroute, landing. Everything is ok since my new installation. Suddenly since yesterday (nothing changed on my system) I follow the same procedures as always, after takeoff the NGX is leveling off at around 4000 ft and does not want to climb anymore. I kind of pride myself on figuring things out on my own. Having taken physics, calculus, and computer programing in college, I sort of figure I can debug most problems. However; I am really stumped on this particular issue. I've watched Utube videos, read the tutorial #1 on the pmdg 737-800 ngx and read numerous postings on forums including this one, and still my 737-800 ngx will not properly line up with the runway at KBOS 15R. Hi I have watched videos on youtube featuring the PMDG737ngx And for some reason my ngx and it is a purchased copy does not look nearly as good. Actually the VC looks washed out colour, with no shade effect. There is talk about something called SHADE in these videos. Is this what I am missing??? I am running the best computer hardware: I72700,GTX680 etc. Iam using a Samsung 40 inch TV. I would appreciate any help. Paul Burley

Hello, guys I'm currently flying the NGX and suddenly a little problem with the radios came up. I can't tune nor the coms, Nav or adf. I turn the knobs but the number won't change. The switch button doesn't work either. One thing I notice is If I choose VHF3 on the comm panel, I can tune the radios normally, what make me think it is a problem with FSX and not the NGX. I just posted here because I'm flying the NGX and maybe some of you had this problem. Dis you heard something like this before? Thanks!!!
