Hi folks, according to https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2013/04/15/2013-08193/airworthiness-directives-the-boeing-company-airplanes the 737NG needs an update... 'We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all The Boeing Company Model 737-600, -700, -700C, -800, -900, and -900ER series airplanes. ...' What will PMDG change? 8^)

I have recently downloaded, and installed the PMDG 737NGX. The visual model, and (visual) virtual cockpit shows. The sounds are also working. But a lot of things, are not working. Here is a list of everything that is not working: Virtual cockpit >PFD and other screens are black >Not a single button works in 2D, or 3D cockpit. >No moving parts on external, a or internal model. For example, throttles and flight yoke don't move when I move them, but the plane actually does react to what I do. And the elevator and ailerons (etc.) do not move >No lights . Sorry if im in the wrong place to ask but i'm pulling my hair out on this one. :rolleyes: Is there a basic guide to repainting the NGX, i can repaint it, its just the saving and making it show up in FSX. I am close as i am using DTXbmp and photoshop and saving it as DDS DTX5 but the fusalage does not show, only the inside cabin? any links or help would be appriciated....i have looked on youtube and the net but nothing to me seems easy to understand..then again i am thick! ^_^ thanks guys

Hi! I just downloaded the NGX, because I heard that its a great product for fsx. Sadly, whenever i try to fly the plane, fsx always crashes. Two seconds after my flight starts (FSX loads the flight) i hear a "click" noise, and flight simulator shuts down. I've tried everything, running as administrator, restarting my PC, but I always get the same result. Can anyone help me with my problem? Thanks, Will

Problems with EZCA ... I have EZCA v1.17 in Windows 8 Pro. It's work well with my TrackIR 5, but... I have installed the Angle of Attack Camera Set, that have a good pre-configured view to fly the NGX. I can't swith between cameras, even in the EZCA studio or key assignements via EZCA ... Why? :(

Hi folks, sometimes I am in doubt about my English... The intro document on the NGX reads on page 121: 'Center Wing Tank fuel quantity measuring system capacitance error modeled in the Center Wing Tank. The quantity will vary accurately during climbs/descents. This is an airplane Idiosyncratic behavior.' Actually I don't get it. IMU the capacity of the Center Wing Tank seemingly varies depending on the altitude. However, at FL0 and FL250 I could 'load' it with 13063kgs of fuel. What's going on?? (First I thought the amount of fuel in the middle would vary during climbs and descends, but my initial load of 2000kgs, centre fuel pumps off, was quite stab…

Hi all, how do you silence that annoying buzzing when the flaps are set and the gear is still up ? I thought it was the cutoff button under the flap selector but it keeps buzzing until the gear is down ? My only other thought was maybe it's not possible to silence the buzz ? A quick question if you dont mind I am looking to run the 'flows' and the 'checklists' from "cold and dark" to "parking" in the virtual cockpit only, using Ezdok and TrackIR5, so that I only need to purchase one large monitor instead of several monitors for each of the other panels (OH, pedestal etc) Will that software do the job so that i can click on all of the buttons and switches ? and is there any other add-ons that you can recommend ? Also, in your opinion, what would be the largest external monitor that I could run this on ? Thanks for your time

I had previously posted that my engines would not shut down and it turned out to be an issue with FSUIPC- turns out I had missed a check box and the general settings reapplied themselves. I have full control over my throttles now EXCEPT for one slight annoying issue. I still can't shut down my engines unless I at the very least open FSUIPC and hit cancel. This causes FSUIPC to present the box that says it is loading/saving something... it happens so fast I can barely tell what it says but after that it is fine until I need to shut down the engines again. Any time I need the engines shut off I have to do this. When I load the aircraft and it initializes, it doesn't mat…

I have rarely had any mx issues when flying the NGX. Lately however, I have been very busy up front. Last week flying LAX - HNL had an engine fire on a 10 mile final (very happy it wasn't half way across the pacific) in the -800. The next day 500lbs below max takeoff weight out of KMDW had an engine fail on rotation. That was a blast. Funny thing was I immediately responded with my ERJ flows (used to fly for American eagle real life) it worked on the 737 as well except for start stop selector-stop. The next Hawaii flight I lost ac stby bus, and hyd b elec pump overheat/fail, eng 2 Anti ice fail. Long story short. I love this plane and am very much …

I'm absolutely sure I'm doing something wrong here but I'm sitting on 25R at KLAX with a route planned to KSFO. I've entered all the performance data and a cruising alt of FL330; there are calculated speeds and altitudes in all the legs pages. Both FDs are on, the A/T is armed. What are the conditions that need to be met for VNAV to be able to be switched in? Ed Moore

Hi when I'm climbing or descending through 10,000 feet I "SOMETIMES" get a "Bong" alert. My problem is not so much what its for, but why only sometimes I get it, its random with which livery i'm flying with at the time. If anyone knows the reason it would be much appreciated. Thanks. Tony Simpson

Dear Pilots, Since the NGX is released, I'm flying this aircraft. Only I got a problem. My FMC give me faulty information about the ATA. Hello everyone - can anyone help? No matter what I change time, weather, season, airport wise as of this morning my flight deck in all PMDG 737 NGX aircraft support this rather horrible black area's see photo below This is the same on all of the Boeing 737 NGX aircraft but have no clue what could have caused it. There is no problem with any other part of FSX or PMDG. No settings have been changed and while I have added to liveries (file name ‘jetairfly_oo-jav_happiness.zip’ and ‘jetairfly_oo-jau_-_excellence) nothing else has been done to flight in anyway, nothing else added, removed or changed. Hi, I had a strange occurence the other evening. I was at cruise altitude when the CMD A disengaged. I trimmed the aircraft out and tried to re-engage the CMD A but it wouldn't re-engage so I had to go to CMD B. I'm wondering if this is normal? Thanks Rob

Anyone else notice that when configuring for a bleeds off takeoff, and you let packs run off the APU, the engine N1 rating doesn't change even if the engine bleeds are off, but as soon as you turn the packs OFF the N1 rating increases, am i missing something or is the N1 suppose to increase when the engine bleed switches are off regardless of whether or not the packs are running?

Hey guys, this may be a commonly asked topic but I can't seem to find the answer to it. Firstly I've used the PMDG 737 NGX for about 6 months now and have slowly been going through the manuals learning as I go. But the main problem im having is knowing which STAR to use when planning my route on the FMC. I can do the SIDS and the rest of the route fine with the route plan I made pre flight (with the fsx planner) but when I get up to the STARS it just seems like its a 'pot luck' of choices. I never seem to get the right one and It all gets very messy very quickly when I do choose one. I also don't understand the transitions properly. I've seen people say just use the last…

Hi, I have asked this before but I'm still having trouble with the Saitek TQ'd overriding the A/T. I have the simulation for A/T override set to Never, yet the autothrottle cuts back at some time around 10,000ft and the A/T switch goes off. I have to manually push the saitek throttles up to 98% and then reset the A/T switch. It does this on one engine only. Any ideas? MY throttles are calibrated through FSUIPC. Thanks Rob

Hi, everyone, Recently, some of my friends who fly PMDG 737NGX and I encounter the same problem as I mentioned in the title. When getting to the arriving segment. Sometimes, the plane just doesn't reduce speed normally after flaps more than 2 is extended. And the gear cannot be let down normally. However, the gear can be manually extended by pressing and holding the manual gear down keys several times. Hi Included is a picture showing VOR approach HESH O4L. The red arrow shows approach heading to VOR SHM. Can this approach be performed using VNAV/LNAV with VOR LOCK at base turn to final? It works quite well with pmdg 737-700 but I'm not sure if this could be done in real life. Any thoughts ? -Geir

Hello all, I'm new here so please be patient with me. I've bought this great addon, because flying with original FSX B737 is very simple and I want more. I've read the instruction manual and continued with Tutorial #1 (EGKK to EHAM). I'm sitting on the runway and route is set, everything seems to be fine. But when it comes to trim setting for take-off, my assigned keys and joystick buttons don't work. I can turn the trim wheel by my mouse, but the wheel returns back to original position over and over again and it is impossible to keep the arrow in the green field. Am I doing something wrong?
