Hello guys, When flying the PMDG 737NGX at dusk and night I have some strange lights dots on the top of my screen. They are the same color of the flood light i'm using in the cockpit when it's dark. It sometimes flashes and its really annoying. Someone who can help me? Thanx!

Just to see what range my NGX could achieve I set off from Newark to London Gatwick and picked up a nice tailwind, courtesy of REX. After reviewing the fuel burn and estimates I then kept extending the destination and finally landed in Larnaca, Cyprus, some 4818nm later. Does anyone know is this is possible in reality? By the way, I speeded up the sim to 4x sim rate although I don't think this messed up the accuracy of the fuel management. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all in the forum Just as it says on Air Crash Investigation, a real world crash is usually of a result of a number of occurrences making the situation worse with time. Well from my point of view the same goes for the virtual world. I just retired my win xp computer to an upstairs room with all my PMDG planes working as best it can on xp. and have invested in an all singing all dancing computer with win 8. I am really fussy about saving my files on the xp machine from drive C to drive D and also to a back up to an external drive. So I was bullet proof, and re installed my 737 package from the back up drive to my new computer. All worked well, but nothing to do with fsx…

Hello! I've got a problem when I load a flight. I save it by FSX and when I load it, the NGX hasn't got the same panel state of the flight saved, but a panel state like if I choosed it for a new flight. The position and the weather are the same, but not the panel. Thanks for your helps! (I'm sorry if there are some mistakes, but I'm not English)

Hi, Is there a way to set the cockpit view to 0.60 and have it saved. I know you could do this in FS9, but I'm using FSX and there is no capabaility that I can find to set the view on a default basis, or even set to a specific view. Any ideas. I already know about the -+ way of zooming, it doesn't allow you to have a 0.60 view of the outside. Thanks Rob

As it has been more than 8 months since I last flew the NGX and so have gone a bit rusty, and having just done a search for Exporting Flightplans to the NGX, and drawing a blank, can anyone kindly refresh me as to how I export a flightplan created in either EFB or FSX as when I did export a plan that I had created in EFB, and checked the Legs page in the CDU, none of the legs were displayed, just start airport, destination airport? Tyring to use that new tool that was created recently, FpnConv, I get an error with it and it fails to load the plan. Thanks.

Is there a fix / solution for the following issue? On a second monitor I have the 737 ngx undocked zoomed DU and CDU. When I load FSX the CDU and DU is narrowing in the window. When I touch the window and move it with the mouse it’s OK again. Thanks Errol

I have been watching a few videos, and I am impressed with what I have seen. I have not purchased the program yet, but I noticed in the videos that the co-pilot does a hell of a lot of work for you, as a co-pilot would do in real life. However I (if I get it) I would still like to do some of the task myself, or get to the switch before he does. Strangely enough I do like flying on my own, So I was wondering if you are stuck with FS2Crew once it is installed? Does it behave the same way all the time? Can you also disable it if you feel like flying on your own, and experiment with certain situations? My bigest fear is that whilst it's good to have things done…

I'm sure this can be answered very quickly as I should know the answer  When given an instruction for a heading of 210 by ATC, do I follow the disply on the MCP or the one on the ND, which is often different, presumably because it's due to the wind aloft or magnetic track? So, which one guys...? Cheers...

Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on the 737-800. I fly the aircraft for a living and have found the sim very useful for practising both procedures and flying exercises. When I was going through the pre flight flow I noticed that when I turned on the fuel pumps I got the noise of the hydraulics turning on. The other thing was while I was flying on one engine and needed to engage the A/P to get set up for an approach etc. I found that I had to completly centre my rudder trim or else the aircraft flew off to one side. I thought this was unusual as with one A/P enaged during flight it should not have control over the rudder. In the aircraft you …

I understood PMDG NGX shows the label of the knobs and switches when positioning the cursor using the mouse. I have not seen this working in mine. The tutorial for the 1st flight says : ".......by actually physically rotating the wheel with your mouse while the cursor is positioned over top of it. An FSX tooltip shows you the current value of the trim." Can anyone guideme to turn this feature on? I use the NGX 800 wing tips default. This is the new version since I down;loaded and installed it today.

Hi folks, during my flights I set the descend forecast with winds aloft, destination temp/QNH and the TAI altitudes, let's say 50nm before T/D. I am puzzled on how many miles setting the TAI altitudes drags the Top of Descend backwards, ie. the descend is prolonged, and the VNAV calculated T/D has to start often almost immediately. (ATC mostly needs to be asked for an early descend, for they guide me down much later, around the TAI off T/D. ) Having TAI on reduces thrust, but why does it prolong the descend distance that long? Thanx.

Today after landing I had this failure active when I checked for active failures in the FMC under the Failures menu. I have Service Based Failures activated so I have made it into a habbit always checking for any failures before I start a new flight. Not sure exactly what this failure means and what could have caused it? Also I can't remember seeing anything abnormal during my last flight, no whistles or bells nor any warning lights so did I get this failure when sitting on the ground for a while after landing or won't this failure generate any warnings? Tried serching for this failure both in the QRH and also Googled it but didn't really find anything useful. …

Hello,is there any way to make the aircraft get older faster? I don't like preset failures, because I know what will happen. I prefer random failures, but I don't want to wait 2000 flight hours for something happening. Is there a way to set the age of the aircraft? Or at least to say I want 3 random failures in the next 2 hours (In the FMC you have to specify Electrics or Engine or APU, ...)?best reardssebihepp

First off, I want to say that this product is so freakin amazing and has renewed my passion for FS realism. There is one thing, however, that is bothering me with this otherwise polished product. I was experimenting with the effect of different flap settings in straight and level flight, at constant speeds just to see how much lift and drag they create, so I could know what kind of forces to expect when hand flying. I was flying with the -800WL model, straight and level at 4000' at flap1 speed with flap1 extended (164kts, I was fairly light). I was interested in how much lift and drag would be created if i went to flaps5 and kept constant speed and altitude. When…

Yesterday I was flying a short ferry flight from EBBR to EBLG. Everything went fine, Until I was about 10-12 NM out. The Master Caution light lit up, and on the F/O's sixpack, the indication DOORS was active. No light was on on the overhead. I decided to run through the QRH, which stated to continue normal operation if pressurization was normal. The pressurization was fine of course, since I was about to touch down anyway. I landed at EBLG, taxied to the gate and shut her down. Afterwards, I decided to have a look at the failures, and saw the Airstair Hatch Failure was active. There's only one tiny little problem: the aircraft I was flying, doesn't have an airstair. N…

Hi folks, I am just cruising back from MHTG, Toncontin to CYYZ, Toronto Pearson Int'l at FL370, heading for Varadero UVA VOR, TAT -17°C, SAT -45°C, and I wanted to check on when I have to service my Westjet 737-600 Whiskey Sierra. (Answer: 89hours). Doing this I saw that there is an active failure: LEFT BLEED DUCT LEAK. Huh, a quick glance into the QRH reveals that I am doomed for a WING BODY OVERHEAT, which is *not* yet illuminated. So, my skeak preview was of course not realistic. How could I detect a BLEED DUCT LEAK *before* the WING BODY OVERHEAT comes on? Thanx in advance.
