Hello, i have recently stumbled upon an interesting video: Driven by curiosity i tried to emulate these "manuvers" and compare the indications. In ngx, the speedtape will not dissapear, when crossing 450 knots indicated, also, the vertical speed indicator will not stop at 9999 ft. The Baro will not change color. Which behaviors are right then?

What am I doing wrong here? I load up Topcat and tell it that I want to fly from KLAS to KLAX in the B737-800. I put in a route: BOACH5 HEC RIIVR2 at FL280 I give it an alternate: KONT Topcat told me that my trip fuel will be 5070 lbs. Fuelplanner.com says it'll be 4300 but it doesn't know my load so I go with the higher of the two but plan to keep reserves that Fuelplanner recommends which is 6099. The trip is 235 NM but there's a 40 knot headwind at altitude so I need some more. I plan for an extra 1500 lbs just to be safe...that's a lot of extra. I load up 13000 lbs, put 6.0 in the plan fuel and 6.1 in reserves. Cost index is 80 if that matters whi…

Hi, I seem to be at a dead end trying to solve a problem with my NGX's autobrakes. They don't work properly any more. They do not apply the brakes on touchdown, but rather it seems to apply maximum (and I mean maximum, no matter what level I set on the knob) braking at some later point (all but one occasion being the very moment the autobrakes switch is turned back to off). There are no failures on the aircraft that would explain it. I currently have a nose gear imbalance, but I've been having this problem before the landing at MHTG that caused that imbalance warning, so I don't believe that explains it. FS2Crew is not the cause, I've flown several test flights w…

I noticed that the 737ng, all models, exhibits rather mild effects from an engine out situation. For instance if while cruising I iddle or even shut off one of the engines, there will be a slight banking into the failed engine, with no hint of uncoordination. Is this true in RL? I even took care to make sure the yaw dampers were disconnected, and the systems page didn't show any hint of rudder either. j.c.monteiro - LPPT

Where are the knobs to tune ADF2? There is only on the captain´s side a possibility to tune ADF1. On the EFIS Control Panel there is a switch to select ADF2 on the PFD. Is this not ment to be used? Thank you for your help. Rudy Knott

Hi All. I Purchased some days ago the fantastic 737 NGX. All great except for one thing: After some minutes the AI start to do very strange things. The airplanes in the airport sink partially under the ground level end the ones in the air start to twist like acrobatic Pitts. This happen in EVERY airport and ONLY with the 737 NGX I reinstalled FSX twice completely and tryed it with both ULTIMATE TRAFFIC II from Flight1 and Aerosoft Traffic 2005 but with same result. Anyone has solution to this? Thanks in advance Alessandro

Hi, i've been having some weirdness with OAT readings in the NGX. it seems like it is adding around 20C to the expected temperature. When i'm cruising at 38000 feet for example i'm getting temps around -30C instead of the expected -50C. it seems like it affects climb performance a bit as well, particularly when i'm still at 10C even when hitting 20000+ feet. at first i thought it was an active sky issue but it also happens with rex and the default weather. and other aircraft (the 377 and the q400) both seem to get the correct readings which makes me wonder if somehow it is ngx-specific. strange, isn't it? has anyone else seen an issue like this? it's beem a few …

Hi ! I'm doing a livery for the 737...and I've almost finish it But I find it too white (it's the original colour from the paint kit). Here you can see it......I would like to have something...like on the 2nd livery... So...I would like to know..where I can find a "dirty" layer....that it looks more realistic. Thank you in advance for your answers. Best Regards, Tupko2005

I never enjoyed FSX as much as I have in the last couple of week. Installing FS2Crew. Active sky 2012 working Like a dream. Also VATSIM all working really well. Until tonight. I just can't get the NGX to load up. I've tried dozens of times. Also stating with the default planes to try and clear any corrupt default flight. Everything perfect then over night, it all stops working. No reason, no obvious clue. :(

Greetings: 1: Acceleration Height is the transition altitude when the pilot increases takeoff speed plus V2 to climb out speed (250 kias below FL10,000, unless there are constraints). The acceleration height is usually 1000 feet. 2: Thrust Reduction Altitude is triggered by altitude (or flap settings) and is usually at 1500 feet. Thrust reduction minimizes engine wear (by minimizing heat build-up in the engines) by changing N1 to climb power. My question: If you are using European noise abatement procedures which state to fly the aircraft to 3000 feet at takeoff speed plus V2. Is the acceleration height 3000 feet, and should this be adjusted manually in…

Hi - has anyone any idea as to why the mouse would stop turning the knobs ect in the VC -only from the view from the Captains seat - of the 737NGX? The mouse retains movement but is non fuctional in this view. The mouse works in any other view in the VC. I use EZDOK camera. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks Shaun Keegan

PMDG have done a fantastic job at modelling the 737NGX. My thanks to all the team, really, this is just such an amazing aircraft you have managed to assemble! Well I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of maximum range real-world flight might be possible, real in the sense of using a properly planned flight with real weather withthe 737 configured as realistically as possible. So after much Google Maps gazing, I decided it was time for a flight from Dutch Harbor in Alaska to Trondheim in Norway. I configured as direct a route as possible without just flyingfrom A to B, which gave me a total distance of 3787.8 NM or just over 7000 km. Here is a graphic of the …

Hi All - Trying to learn the PMDG737NGX. Following Tutorial #1, can't get autoland into EHAM to work. Both Navs set to 110.1, Locator captured, APP button pushed... but when I push CMD-B, instead of both CMD-A and B being lit, CMD-B lights up and CMD-A goes out.. and I end up with the yellow SINGLE CH warning in the PFD ... tried several times and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.. Newbie Rick44 (Richard Matzick) would really appreciate some ideas.. PMDG737NGX is only a week old and has up-to-date SP. thanks

While cruising during a recent flight, I decided to pass the time by looking at the failures menu in the FMC. To my surprise, I saw "FAILED: 1" indicated. Upon further investigation, it was apparently an autothrottle failure, with the FMC indicating "AT INOP." However, the autothrottle remained engaged and continued to operate normally. I then tried flipping the AT switch off and on, and changing vertical modes, but it just behaved as if there was no failure. After landing normally, I rebooted my PC and started another flight. This time I programed an AT failure to occur after 30 seconds. When nothing happened, I re-checked the FMC to find, once again, that it thought…

I just purchased the 737NG-X a few days ago but I will be building a new system in a month or two. How many times can my activation key me used and if I use it more than the times allowed do I have to spend $100 again or can I simply request new ones (because Im probably gonna have to re-install more than once knowing my luck with computers)

Hi everyone , I am new to the simulation world , i have just purchased the microsoft flight simulator X gold edition and since i might be doing my b737 type rating later this year ( A commercial pilot license holder currently ) , i am going to purchase the PMDG 737 NGX soon. Since you guys are a pro in the simulation world i have a few questions and i would appreciate if you would take the time to reply. The box has 3 cds , disc 1 and 2 for FSX and the 3rd one for acceleration expansion pack. 1. Should i just install the disc 1 and 2 and then download sp1 and sp2 from the microsoft website ? 2. Does pmdg 737 ngx require me to have sp1 and sp2 installed before…
