PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

If I buy "FS Build" will I be able to load Flight Plans into my 737NGX? I currently use "Flightsim Commander" although I've been unsuccessful in setting it up to export my Flight Plans. I think it's a path problem and am working to overcome it. However if FS Build allows me to export, and I can't crack the "Flightsim Commander" problem, perhaps FS Build could be my answer. Cliff

Hi folks, I have just passed the North Pole on my trip EHAM-KLM97NP-PANC in order to check the 737NGX behaviour above this unique area (w/ the South Pole area as well). (I know that the 737 is not really certified to fly North of was it 78°N.) After waypoint NORVA I was heading true North. About 15nm before reaching the NP, I switched to CWS. The True North setting would be useful here, but actually I couldn't find the switch. Also the reference handbooks couldn't help me. Where is it? Thanx in advance.

Hi all, have watched several cockpit dvd's on the NG and i following various flows/tutorials for the NGX - question is in the flows/tutorials before engine start calls for Elec Hyd pumps to be turned on. After watching real life cockpit action they have been turned on after engine start - does it matter (obviously it doesnt if they do it) but what is normal practice or would it be different SOP's for diff airlines?

Where can one find the best checklists for NGX? thanks.

I have a question that's been on my mind lately. How do most airlines use the HUD in the 737? Is it retracted on the ground, until runway entry? Is it then retracted again at cruise? Or does it stay down the whole time?

Hi All, I fly the 737ngx online with vatsim quite a bit, and often on descent I like to use speed intervene to adjust my descent rate. However I have a really annoying problem where say I have selected 280kts in the speed window, seemingly randomly the speed will drop to 100kts and I can't change it. If I dial 280 back on the speed it will go back to 280 briefly then drop to 100 again. It's driving me nuts, I thought I new the autoflight and FMS pretty well. Am I missing something here, I was under the impression that speed intervene was only controlled by the speed dial. The drop to 100 seems to me like a bug. Any ideas? Cheers Neil

Hi guys, I recently bought the 737NGX and am simply thrilled by the reality level. I will start a B738 TR in real life this summer and use the PMDG 737 to prepare. There's one thing though that puzzles me: when I trim, the trimwheels make about 2 full revolutions before any trim sound is heard. (in other words the trim sound has a delay of about 2 seconds) This is annoying when you make small trim adjustments and you don't know whether the plane is trimming or not. I hope this is not a "feature", at least I couldn't find anything related by searching this forum / Google. I checked the following: - Sound card is set in the CDU Options menu ( I hear all other…

Hi The Trimwheel does not turning after a Cold and Dark startup. The yoke I use for the aircraft has some trim switches! The trimwheel works fine if i am turning with the mouse (point at the wheel and turn the scroll wheel of the mouse). What I am missing? Hello, I have been flying the NGX for about 1,5 years now and it has been a great experience. although i am more of a longe range guy. In all the time that i have been flying now i have not seen the vortices of the flaps and wings that can be created during takeoff and landing in the real world. Is this not modeled? or was i never in the right weather? I know this is modeled in the 747-400X. So i thought why not here aswell. I could not find this anywhere here. Hi all, In this movie you hear the ratteling (wheel) sound just after takeoff when you hear Rotate. I thought Steve Inwood made this sound availible a long time ago in Official Groundroll Enhancement Thread? But I can't find the sound. Does anybody know if it is availible and where to get it? Hello everyone, this is my first posting, and sadly enough, it is to ask a question that will look very simple for some of you. When I bought PMDG737NGX, I decided also to download some liveries. I received the downloads without problems. They do not install themselves in flightsim. So I open the file and I see that they are in extension .PTP. I would like to know what do I do with that 17 MEG ptp file in order that the livery installs itself properly. When I bought the B747, the liveries installed themselves without any other manipulation. But it is not the case with the B73. Many thanks.

Hey Guys, I recently purchased the 737NGX 800/900 and I'm amazed by it! Everything is running as well as I had expected and more! However, one thing really bugs me, and that is the wing animations being so segmented. For example, when landing the aircraft, as the speed brakes deploy, the movement is almost like a "slide show" as the spoilers go up, instead of a smooth, continuous motion. This same problem is seen with aerilon movement, flap deployment and wing flex. Its letting my FSX and 737 experience down a bit, as I usually average 30 - 50fps in even the most built up areas, so to see such a "lagged" effect on the aircraft looks pretty horrible compared to the…

Hy Guys! I need your help! I have a problem with my PMDG 737 600 and 700 too I was landing at LICJ on runaway 20 (I set all the necessary for a ILS approach). I disengaged autopilot at 200ft for a manual landing but when I starded to do some corrections (right or left with my directional keys, I dont have a cloche...it's sad I know) the cloche of the airplane start to turn right without reason and remains locked until I fall down without a chance to take control. I am having issues with the pmdg 737, it is using 100% cpu and 100% ram which results in a fsx fatal error. i meet the requirements as far as i know here are my computer specs, should i be able to run this plane ? i5 3.2 ghz 4 gb DDR AMD Radeon 6750 win 7 32bit i know that 64 bit os is better, but i should be able to run the pmdg with this specs right ? any ideas how i can make this bird work ? in comparison my qw 146 uses 25% of my computer and 70% of ram.

I have had the PMDG 737NGX since it first came out and yesterday when I went to input data into the FMC I found that I was able to type into the scratch pad but could not input that data into the computer using left or right keys. Has anyone any ideas please. regards and thanks if you can help.

Hello, I am new to the B737NGX and have the following issue: I do not like the 2D cockpit too much and would like to use the virtual cockpit. However, I have not managed yet to find a reasonable position yet to see at least something outside when looking through the cockpit window and have the full ND instrument in view at the same time. Is there a trick to find a good view (maybe a zoom or so)? I am using a screen with a 1920x1080 resolution. Thank you for any help in advance! Tilo

Ok, so I did a flight from KSAN to KJFK (Delta 738) earlier today, and got the plan from Flightaware.com. It gave me rwy 13L with a Lendy6 STAR after KLGA. All was well, but the descent path was anything but normal. After Lendy, I had to divebomb my way in, and started doing turns to try and go from around FL190 all the way in. Anyone have any idea of why that is? I ended up doing turns to dump height and resume over KLGA to get in, and wondered if that is the case (I hope not) in real life? P.S. They seem to be using 4L right now (RadarBox24), so no way of figuring this out on my own.

I just purchased a new hard drive after my other one became corrupt and had to reinstall everything. Today I went on a test flight in the NGX and the sound was very quiet. It wasn't like this on my old hard drive and all of my settings are set properly. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? Thanks.

Hello all I purchased the NGX about a week ago and it truly is amazing! But I found out that the STARs for EKCH (Kastrup, Copenhagen) in the FMC do not match the STARs on the charts published by the Danish aviation authority... I'm thinking this could be because the FMC uses old data?? Would it be corrected if I bought a navigraph update?? Thanks

Hi all, Since I'm a big fan of the small islands called Malta (LMML) (in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea), often my flights with the NGX end up there. Now I've got a few questions on the approach, specifically runway 32, as I doubt the charts I use are right, or the pilots of the planes I flew with didn't use the charts. First of all, 2012 charts: http://va-transaero.ru/files/charts/LMML.pdf As you can see on page 6, the ILS arrival chart for runway 32, the approach uses the MLA ndb, after which you need to fly heading 135, and after 9nM make a 180 degree turn for the final leg.
