PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hi, After I shut down the aircraft completely, there seems to be what looks like a contrail or smoke coming from underneath the aircraft. Never noticed this before. Anyone any ideas? Thanks Rob

Where is the 737NGX_colors.ini located? It is not in the PMDG folder 737 NGX as it use to be. Or how is it accomplished to adjust the VC lighting in the cockpit?

Found the below information in the PMDG knowledgebase and missed this interesting information until now and have had all my realism settings in FSX at 100%. PMDG's flight models are developed for the following FS realism slider settings: General - 100% P-Factor - 50% Torque - 50% Gyro - 0% Crash Tollerance - 100% How much difference will this do for the flight model when flying the NGX?

I have a problem that probably has an easy solution. Or “easy when you know how” solution anyway. I’ve set up a flight by placing the aircraft at LEAL and programming the FMC to land at EGLL. I also, of course, prepared the aircraft to be ready for takeoff. At that stage I used the FSX Save option and created a flight situation that can be loaded whenever I want to fly that route in that aircraft. Later, wanting to fly another route, I ended the previous flight and placed the aircraft at another airport. But here’s the problem. When I open the FMC it’s set up with the LEAL-EGLL flight information and consequently I’m unable to program any other fligh…

1. I program the FMC then, just before takeoff, I save. 2. At a later date I place the Aircraft at another Airport and need to program a different Flight Plan. However the FMC still contains the original information. I’ve tried changing the departure and destination but that doesn’t wipe away all the original entries. I'd appreciate help. Cliff

hello hope somebody can help me. my NGX737 dont provide enough engine power and IAS to get a higher speed than 180-190 IAS same if i´m fly in a flighlevel, low, high, set pitot heat aso. no chance the IAS are that low. same problem if i want to climb , my climbspeed are almost like the landing speed and the climbrate are 400-600 or lower. i already reinstall my NGX but same like before no differents anybody there to help me please ? thanks a lot in advance

Hey guys, I'm currently learning to fly the NGX by PMDG, and i've learned how to program the FMC, but what i am wondering is this: Will the aircraft automaticly start to descend at a certain point as long as i'm in VNAV mode? Because when i tested it out yesterday, i had to descend manually. And in the FMC it said something like ''VREF not selected'' what does that mean? Thanks! Kim

Hi, Fs2crew wants the 2D panel to load at startup , even though I have set the 2D panel option in the arcraft settings page and leave the 3 D option unchecked , the 737.800 ngx panel always loads in 3 D. I have ezdok Addon but deactivate it before loading the panel. Can someone help me out here ? Please? Ivo

Hi Folks I've been using the NGX for several months and recently have been having trouble with my PC so have used a registry cleaning tool and various other things (CCleaner etc.) Since I did that, when I try and select the NGX in FSX I get a dialog box prompting me for my activation code. I have tried entering the "License" serial number (the one beginning "NGX") as well as the "Order Code" from my order history in my PMDG account but it doesn't seem to like that, so I'm guessing neither of these are the activation code? I can't find any reference in my order history to an activation code, but I remember this box coming up way back when I first installed it. …

My Livery Manager is telling me I need to give the texture directories a new name since I failed to delete original directories when asked. How can I bypass this and use the same directories? Do I have to unstall the plane and start from scratch? I forget exactly what happened that made me lose my installed liveries within FSX even through the files were never deleted or uninstalled.

Hi all, tried googling this with no success, after watching numerous real world 737 videos (not only 737's do this) I've noticed, particularly on takeoff and landing that the LCDS tend to be flashing as if shorting out. I was wondering if anyone knew the cause or reason for this. Just curious is all.

I just got the PMDG 737,and i hve loved it so far ive loved it,but every time i try to make a flight plan in the FMC i cant get the gate number to activate.Every time i try entering it the scratch pad says"not in data bass". Can annyone help me with this problem.

Hi guys, I looked and couldn't find anything here like this, sorry if this has been answered... I'm in the learning process with aircraft textures and have been working on a 737-700. I have it all the way I want but cannot get the tail number plate in the VC to reflect new tail number...it's somehow stuck on the PMDG default livery...N738PM. I did a new PMDG_NGX_VC_N_Number.dds in new livery folder and no luck. No that I'm thinking about it...does it have to be compressed to new format and re-loaded via the livery manager to show correctly? Thank you, David

I have noticed "Minimums" is not being called out at all anymore. I did check in the settings and I have it set to call out. Just curious if something might have been changed or overlooked? It does call out the decent down to 10. George B.

Good evening! :smile: I am having abit of a hassle with my NGX. My displays are all blurry, but the rest of the cockpit looks all normal. I have all of the three ticks in the Performance Manager set to High Quality. Here's a few pics: Many thanks for any help in advance!

My first post on here, I have found 737NGX to be incredibly accurate, almost everything is correct. I have only discovered a couple of errors: 1) If you fail both Fire loops on the number 1 engine the fault light does not illuminate. Doing the same on the number 2 engine gets the correct indication. 2) When using the displays control panel switch if for example you switch to Both on 1 and back the first officers display reverts back to his pervious altimeter setting, minimums and push buttons selections. In reality these are copied across. It’s a lazy man’s way of stealing the settings from the other pilot.

Hello, I have a problem where when I run the NGX my joystick doesn't seem to want to make any aircraft systems move or work but in any other plane it works fine... Also when ever I fly the NGX I sometimes get the blue checkerboard type ground instead of having terrain but in any other plane I never get it either... I'm running Win8 64Bit. Please Help!!!

I made frequent use of "The Queen's" Flight Plan collection and I would throughly enjoy using them in my 737 or, hopefully, in the new 777. Is that possible? Cliff

I watched the video that Frooglesim made about the new dash 8 on youtube. He spoke about the developer using their own FDE instead of microsoft's flightsim's.. I got the impression that he was getting better frame rates because majestic wrote their own FDE code which is more reaslistic.. I will tell you i didn't think that i would buy the plane but i was curious if the fde that majestic has would help or not the ngx.. thanks.

Hello everybody. I recently acquired the PMDG 737NGX and I'm confused with the FMC. I'm trying to do a flight from EHAM to EGLL. This is the route I'm following: GORLO UL980 XAMAN L980 LOGAN. I'm departing from RW 36L using the GORL1Z SID and chose to land at ILS 27R using the LAM3A STAR. My cruise altitude is FL240, and when I enter this value into the FMC, it automatically changes to FL250, no matter what cruise altitude I choose, and after this, it gives me the "Unable Crz Alt" error. I don't know if I misunderstood something with the Gross Weight or with the Cost Index, but I simply don't know what payload I have to choose and the respective cost index, since thi…

Just had something interesting happen. I just happened to notice that the "Outboard Leading Edge Slats" will not extend (animate). Has anyone else experienced this problem? All things seem correct in the aircraft.cfg and aircraft.air files. Stephen
