PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hello, I have the PMDG 737NGX installed but I cannot change any of the settings for it. The PMDG option is missing from the taskbar/menu bar at the top. Can anyone help?

I have FSX win 7 europe gex. When I switch views in the 737 ngx, windows sometimes seem to hang, scrambled graphics or black screen. I have 12gb RAM and 2gb Nvidia 660 graphics card. Never had this problem with Level d 767. Anyone any ideas please? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Fellow Simmers Can someone please help? I recently bought the Nvidia 680 4GB gpu. While playing around with the fsx settings I decided to enable the dx10 preview. To my surprise it has made astonishing improvements. The only problem that has occurred is the cockpit colour is blue for few seconds before turning to the normal grey. I would be grateful for all the help regarding this issue and also for any suggestions on how to use dx10 to full advantage. I have read the comments on the dx10 forum-it mentioned download dx10 patches etc. I installed dx10 today. Looking forward to your help. Qas

Hey all, in my search for the Westjet RNP approach charts, I came across a great website that you can use to view/download charts. The site is fltplan.com and it is completely free. It is a real world flight planning website and it contains all charts for US/Canada. All charts are current and kept current. The charts are from the FAA and NavCanada without the "NOT FOR REAL WORLD USE" message on them. I am having an issue with resuming saved flights. Often, once I resume a saved flight the aileron trim is stuck well past full right. It does not show until the AC is taken out of autopilot, and it is so far over that there is no way to control the AC while adjusting it back in line. It looks like FS control of set aileron trim to zero does not work, nor does the FSUIPC control AILERON_TRIM_SET with a "0" entry work in the NGX. It does not show out of trim until the aircraft is taken out of autopilot I can blindly click on the trim while the AP is on, but, it is so far over it is at least 75-100 clicks to get it place, holding it seems even slower. Hallo, I'm trying to fly PMDG Boeing with annoucements of integrated ATC of FSX, Until TOD-point it is functionning without problems. Because the ATC is responsible of selection the runway for arrival, I can configure it on FMC after ATC announces it. Often it occurs after the plane passed the TOD point and can't reach the descend path. How to overcome this? For now I'm saving my flight before reaching TOD, and after I get the annoucement about approach I reload the flight so I can configure FMC before reaching TOD. I have entered the all information to FIX, RAD/DIS, but I can not push the line select key for one of RAD/DIS entries to copy the fix place/bearing/distance definition into the scratchpad and place it into the route on a LEGS page as a waypoint, why? Is it not fully functional, right? Or something wrong I did?

Hi guys great aircraft firstly I'm loving it, I only have one query when i do descents, I always seem to be struggling to get to the required altitudes as stated in FMC. I always program my flights properly with weather aswell. I might be doing something wrong it just seems to happen all the time, then I get messages in FMC like des path unachievable or similar. Hi Everyone, This has probably been posted already but I cant find it. I was bought a boxed PMDG 737 NGX for Fathers day but I am having alot of problems getting it to work. I have read lots of topics and been through the PMDG Pdf info etc but need some help please. My system Specs are: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66Ghz - 4Gb Ram - Nvidia Geforce GTS 240 I downloaded Sp1 from PMDG website but it said I already had the most up to date version installed. I have also been on the "*******" website and used their suggested file. My FSX settings are roughly "medium" and I don't normally run out of memory when playing online at HHG. Hi When I make a engine start today I was able to start n1 in a normal way. When it coms to nr 2 I thought I did a normal start but no. I got the mess. Eng fail in the upear DU and in the EGT box the lower of these two. I could not restart it. I tried looking in the non-normal checklist but i did not find the solution. Hi, Yesterday I changed my decimal separator in Windows 7 from a comma into a dot (, -> .) in the country and language settings. This was because I had troubles with the gps coordinates when creating a flightplan in FSX. Planes stuck in the ground etc. Since the change that problem seems to be over. But..... now I have had another problem since then. The pushback function within the FMC is doing funny. Despite what you expect (going backwards) it is rolling forward to the left and crashing into the first object it meets. I have tried to solve it by changing back to the comma but that didnt help. Hello everybody, I have been flying the NGX for about 1,5 years now and it has been a great experience. The model looks really beautifull. Despite me being more of a longe range guy. :blush: In all the time that i have been flying now i have not seen the vortices of the flaps and wings that can be created during takeoff and landing in the real world. Is this not modeled? Or was i never in the right weather? Can i find anything about this somewhere on the forum? I know this is modeled in the 747-400X. So i thought why not here aswell. Hi there,I have never been a fan of the fan textures, and I think they are below par to the rest of the model [especcially the interior].I am ready for the sh/t to hit the fan, but does anyone on the forum agree that the textures are a little basic?Is there any possibility of a makeover?Alex

Hi, Every so often, when I'm flying, the PMDG 737NGX will just start to trim itself, without autopilot engaged. Then I'll basically have to surcome to what ever setting it decides on and then land with the joystick pulled all the out. Once getting on the ground the pmdg will then continue to trim itself until it can no longer do so. Any ideas? Drives me nuts and makes the flight so unenjoyable as I hand fly.

Random question I've had about the NGX for about two years now but can't seem to ever find the time or resources to look up... on the Rear Overhead Panel, on both left and right IRS switches, the selectors may be rotated to ""Align", yet I have no idea what this option does. I understand how to align the IRS systems, and how they detect movement of the aircraft, but where could I find an explanation as to what the "Align" feature does/is used for??? Searched FCOM 2 for an answer but have not yet discovered one. Help anybody??? Thanks

After reinstalling FSX and PMDG 737 NGX, the PMDG menu doesn't appear in the FSX add-on menu. Is there a way to solve this problem ?

Greetings; Two questions. Can someone please confirm the correct procedure. In the FMC PERF INIT page there is T/C OAT that needs inputting. I have always inputted the top of climb temperate, by calculating the value by this formula: altitude x 2 -15 which gives you the temperature at that altitude (a negative number). You can also look at the weather and the find the temperature. Another flyer has told me I am incorrect. He states the value that should be entered here is the outside temperature as observed on the EICAS screen (Total Air Temperature / TAT). Which is correct ? Hi, I come cap in hand out of desperation!! I've recently "upgraded" from FS9 and am now in love flying the NGX!! I've got the OC plug and play EFIS and MCP, however i cannot, for the life of me, get them to work with it, I have tried using Roar's software, but it will not connect. I was curious if there is a feature to dim the HUD or a method to change the color of the text on the HUD so it's not quite so overpowering during night landings. With its current color/intensity, it has a tendency to really washout the scenery in front of it, and I like to keep a watch out for things like runway incursions during night/twilight landings If there is no setting for it via an adjustment, is there a place in a settings file where you can set a hex number to assign the color?
