PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hello! I'm new to the forums. Quick question regarding descent in the NGX that I may not be aware of, a little "problem" I am having. In the 737-800 Winglets, let's say I am cruising at FL380, and am about to start the descent into whatever airport. I have LNAV and VNAV armed, I'm 5-10 miles from the calculated TOD, altitude window on the MCP set to 0, and cost index of 50 (if that matters?). I have mach .76 selected on the descent page of the FMC so it slows to that, then starts it's descent at the TOD that the FMC made. Now, when it descends, the pitch is like -5! Is that normal for the aircraft to be pitched down this much? If I go into outside view the aircraft cl…

Perhaps it's my lack of sleep lately, but I'm fairly sure I've got the name of the display wrong (doesn't help I've been flying Airbus a lot recently either). Anyway, I've recently reinstalled my NGX but for some reason, I'm missing information such as break temperature information, etc. Can anyone help. I've attached a screenshot for reference. Good day, at the moment the wr is not simulated in the 737. Is programmed any update for this function ? Is possible add the wr to the instrument using other addon (i.e. CS Wheather radar)? Regars

First off.While reading about the Electrical Power Up procedure the FCOM I noticed the item "Wheel well fire warning system.......................Test" and I can't find this test switch.Can anyone tell me what this item wants the flight crew to do? Secondly.The amplified procedures never ask the flight crew to extend and switch on the retractable landing lights. When are the retractable landing lights supposed to be used? Thanks in advance!

Hi guys, Since a short time, after it had worked for one and a half year, I have the problem, that I can only shutdown engine 1 with the key ctrl+shift+f1. When I do it with the cutoff switch the engine goes into reverse thrust and nothing happens, that means the engine still produces thrust. Before I had this problem, there was another problem that engine 1 did not react with my thrust levers and I must press ctrl+e before it worked. Anyone who can help me with this annoying problem? Hey fellow captains, Anyone who can help me out here. Since today my 737 partialy crashes after 45 minutes of flying. It is shown in a look-trough fuse panel and the ngx not responding to the localiser/approuch mode. It is not picking up the signal of the localiser. Sometimes it does but gives a steep descent instead. The scenery is having problems as well. The details are missing, everything looks like a blur. Higmemfix is set to 1 etc. The is no ctd, the ngx must be flow by hand to land in most cases. Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to use the livery manager in my ngx program but everytime I try and add a livery the manager stops working and shuts down. I tried re-loading the ngx program from scratch but did not help. Any suggestions?

Im trying to get to know the Pmdg 737 fmc and I think I'm doing ok, but I have 2 problems. 1. When I plan a route most 'via'things I type say Invalid entry. but the 'to' most of the time works. 2. I cant activate the Vnav. can someone pleast help?

Hey guys, I'm only starting with 737ngx, and I can't flip BAT switch on the overhead in VC, no matter how I change my view angle, or mouse button. Whereas on 2D panel all switches flip with no problem both with the left and right mouse buttons. Normally I don't use 2D panels, most of the other switches and knob seem to move ok in VC. Bonjour all, I recently purchased the 737-800/900 rom PMDG and by default, the cockpit view is NOT the "Virtual Cockpit" but the "Cockpit which when I change the view using EZdok doesn't work (well it changes the outside view which is a rectangle above the cockpit). I have to right click in the main window, and select Cockpit from the view then pick the Virtual Cockpit. Everything works then, the views using EZdot etc..but when I change the views from inside to outside (using the S shortcut key) and want to come back into the cockpit, no views are selected and I end up somewhere inside the guts, fuselage of the airplane until I right click on the screen again and select…

I just bought the 737NGX today. Looks great and all but it seems that no matter what view I use, there is a loud constant engine noise. I can barely hear the engines throttle up or down in spot plane view. It's loud enough to almost drown out the normal engine sounds. Like when you throttle up or down, you can here the engines get louder or quieter depending on where the throttles are. I have the engines sound less then half way in the sound settings for FSX so I am unsure as to what sound setting it is set to. I know that advanceing the throttle to full then to idle again has cured that problem with some aircraft I have, but it doesn't work for this one. I also makes me …

Hi all, Sometimes when I fly the ngx, about 20-60 minutes into the flight, ground textures will begin turning black. I am using default textures globally. As large squares become black, switching the view would fix the issue for a few seconds before once again the scenery textures go black. At this point, the aircraft will be a skeleton and will not load. Now the entire set of textures globally will go haywire and random brown textures will surround my aircraft until I cant see anything anymore. I use no tweaks on my .cfg since they have never helped me! The 3 things that might be contributing to it: 1. My video card is only 256MB. 2. My RAM is only 2GB. 3. Co…

THis happens everytime I land the 737NGX, regardless of the airport or weather. Hands off the controls. on the LOC: Depress APP and CMD B. All's well until 50' before touchdown, then AP disconnects. Happens eveytime. I have to prepare to take over the controls just in case, and push the nose down. I get LAND 3 on aproach, so everything should be good... No axis assignments in fsuipc... HI, i´ve been having a problem with the aircraft recently. Some parts, such as engines (the engine cover appears, the inside of the engine doesnt appear), the wheels are "floating", and the APU exhaust is empty (i can see the sky through the exhaust hole). Thanks, Tatin 98

Hi, in the SDK I found three controls for the landing gear (EVT_GEAR_LEVER, EVT_GEAR_LEVER_OFF and EVT_GEAR_LEVER_UNLOCK). Does anybody know the parameters for these controls? I try to use an ON/OFF/ON switch for the gear but the controls don't work! I tried with parameter "0" and "1" but no success. GEAR "up" and "down" is no problem with the presets but I want to set the gear lever to the "OFF" position with the switch in middle position. Foreman

Hello Everyone, This is just a minor problem which I don't seem to be able fix. Today for the first time I cannot apply the brakes when sitting on the threshold. I have tried ctr+. and button 24 on the yoke and tried clicking the actual brake button at the centre pedestal all without success. The engines are at idle and still the aircraft creeps forward. Can someone please help with suggestions. Much obliged. Richard Welsh.

I have FS Dream team and the engines have to be shut down in order for it to work. I tried using a key in FSX, that didn't work. I also tried using FSIUIPC , that didn't work. What's the best way to start out cold?
