Alrighty so all is working super with the NGX, really is a fantastic bird and really groundbreaking stuff... But for the Payload I notice it only allows in the single class /174 passengers, I regularly fly Ryanair and other low cost airline flights who use the 189 seating layout. Is there a way to change this to 189? Thanks in advance.

I'm having great fun with the NGX package, but I can't seem to understand some of the aspects of the different approaches. Reading the FCOM didn't give me any eureka moments either, and so I'm here. A few questions: In a VOR approach, if your route is already programed into the FMC, what good does it do to dial in the VOR-frequency when the FMC is going to line you up with the runway anyway? And if I do use the LOC/VOR button, does the VOR course preside the FMC's programed waypoints? I've found that LAND 3 only appears in ILS approaches. What about LAND 2? I don't think I've ever seen it. And if we have Land 2 and 3, what ever happened to 1? How exactly does an NDB app…

Hi, after a few thousand hours in the NGX I'm recently running into problems. Sometimes when flying my NGX I'm getting a message saying "Error: Can't load". I can simply pull this message over to my other screen and then the sim will continue running, but the scenery will no longer load. The strange thing is that this only appears with the NGX, but never with any other of my aircraft (I do indeed have a few thousand hours more on other types, expecially the A320). So I left the NGX with low fuel on the ground and went on a trip for a couple of days. When I came home, I of course had run out of fuel and have a dead battery. Any one know how I can get ground power on to recharge the battery? Everything inside is completely useless. I cannot start the APU without battery power. A big part of me just wants to figure this out and not reload the airplane!! Thanks for all the help you can give!!

Never had a problem till now and can't for the life of me figure what it is cause i never set any thing different. Would always bring the throttles up to 40% N1 -let stabilize keep bringing them to 65-70 % then hit TO-GO. -make sure she reads in the FMA then fire wall my Precision throttles right to the stops .Then the auto throttle would take over and control the speed right through the whole flight no problem. Now for some now reason it won't. I just did a flight from Winnipeg to Calgary and at TOD she started down but the throttles stayed right up there and i had to bring them back manually .I recalibrated my throttles but never made a difference. What is it: A list with everything you have to do in order to get the 737NGX from cold and dark to flight and back to cold and dark again. So everything you only have to check or verify is left out. This makes it the ideal list for when you haven't flown the 737NGX for a while and don't want to wade through all tutorials and manuals again to figure out how to get things done. Because this list only contains things you have to do, you also won't feel the need to skip items you don't really need, which often results in skipping items you really do need... Many of the dials can only be turned to the left. In the auto pilot, the altitude set gauge cannot turn on. The same with the speed pre set gauge. The flaps handle can only go down, not back up. WHEN THE COURSER IS PLACED ON SOMETHING, THAT LITTLE BOX WITH INFO. DOES NOT APPEAR.

Hi, this is the situation: I load a flight where the NGX is sitting on the runway threshold, ready for takeoff. VC view, TrackIR software running in the background. As soon as the flight is loaded I have about 28-30 fps, that keep quite constant if I don't do anything and don't move my head. As soon as I look down towards the yoke and then up again towards the runway, restoring the view that I had at the flight loading, the fps decrease to 21-24 or lower, and start oscillating with negative peaks of 15-16 now and then. They never go back to 28-30, but remain on an average of 20-22. Is there any particular reason why this happens? Thank you.

Hello. Just received this today I run fsx on 3 monitors with a 680gtx. However as I cycle through the views Using the A key when I get to the 2d panel just get a black screen on the bottom third of the screen the mouse cursor spins and frames drop from 30 to 7 if I cycle back to the vc no improvement and cursor carrys on spinning I have fixed this on default fsx planes with a file I downloaded Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this on the pmdg ngx It may be I have to change sone settings in a cfg file But don't know where to start Any help greatly appreciated Many thanks

I believe it's possible to have the A/T in ARM mode (other than during idle descent), however I can't seem to achieve this. When I press the A/T disconnect button it drops offline entirely. What am I missing?

Is there any way to use the NGX's sounds for ai aircraft? I have tried both putting in an alias, making a copy of the sound folder under PMDG 737-800 NGX and renaming it soundai (along with changing the name of the sound.cfg file to soundai.cfg). After, I have copied this new soundai folder over to the ai aircraft in question. However, it doesn't seem to work. The ai sounds completely wrong. What am I doing wrong? Also, I know there will be a performance hit when using the NGX's high-quality sounds, but I am ready to accept the performance hit incurred.

I have been flying the PMDG 737 for a few months and I have 2 questions about the yaw damper and the auto throttle. I would like to know what is the correct procedure. 1. Should I turn on the yaw damper at all times from engine start to parking? The reason I ask this is that the aircraft seems to occillate (yaw) back and forth in flight even in light turbulence. The acft can only remain smooth flight at perfectly smooth air. Looking at the position of rudder, I am quite sure that this is due to the yaw damper action. The rudder is moving left and right at nearly once per second. When I switch off the yaw damper and center the rudder, everything stops and the acf…

Hi All, I have just this last couple of days started encountering an issue with the GPWS / EGPWS on the -800 and -600 737NGX. On final approach, stabilised - gear down, 30 deg flap, approx 140 kt and 700' RoD, on localiser and glideslope, I get "Terrain" alerts on final, followed by "Pull Up" on short final. Same if I hand-fly or use the automatics where everything is on the numbers. I have tried various airports across the US and Australia - same deal. Hello! I want to assign two buttons in my G940 joystick to disconnect the AP and AT to manual control the plane in the approach. The buttons that are in the throttle levers and the yoke in the real thing. In the FMC options of PMDG there are an option to adding a key assignement but no a joystick button. How I can setup it? Having just returned to FSX and PMDG 737NGX I dug out a VRinsight MCP Combo I bought a while ago. Unfortunately this is the original and not the new version 2 Boeing type. I have installed the VRiSim software and the panel seems to be communicating with FSX ok but I am getting funny readings on the MCP display with 737NGX. Speed reads 000, Heading reads 090 and ALT reads 00300. This does not reflect the readings in FSX on the 737 panel. Adjusting the respective knobs on the panel does adjust the display readings within the 737NGX in FSX but the VRinsight display stays at the readings I have shown. They do appear to try and change but are instantly forced back to the above…

So I've installed FSX on my laptop and during the working pauses, I work on the livery. But I've to test it in fsx. So I've to install the NGX in the second pc. Is it possible? After some months without problems when looking at the outside of my 737NG, it now appears in almost skeletal form Additionally parts of the Flight Panels can't be seen. They're just black blobs. I use an iMac which runs FSX in 64 Bit Windows 7 in the separate Apple Bootcamp partition. The specs are: Processor: 3.4 GHz intel Core i7 Memory : 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Number of Cores : 4 Chipset Model : AMD Radeon HD 6970M Resolution: 2560 X 1440 I'd appreciate guidance to solve the problem. Folks, I may have overkilled my NGX, too much flying, and, it's not that i'm bored with it, it's just I don't know what to do with it next. After recently realising how my FPS have recently changed at uk2000's Heathrow Xtreme, I kind of want to do some routes from there. So, has anyone got any ideas? I would need: Variant (600/700/800/900) Airline And, of course, the route. ideally to or from LHR. So, does anyone want to give me some ideas?

Hi! I'm trying to understand all the systems in the 737, and one thing I notice, is the window heat turning off when it reaches the correct temperature, but what is this temperature? I have pmdg 737 -800/900 installed and I've been using it for a while but never properly as such and have just been reading tutorials on how to do an autoland. However after reading up on how to do it I've noticed that a pretty important part of one of the panels is missing, Basically on the aft electrical panel the box where you can enable the cat III landing and add runways length and elevation etc isnt there. Hi everyone Im trying to program my Boeing 737 Throotle from Jetmax with FSUIPC but im having a problem with the Engines Start levers 1 & 2. For cut off position i assign Mixture Lean and for Idle position i assign Mixture Rich,now when i put the lever to cut off the engines power goes down to 1.4% but doesnt shut off,it then goes up again. With default aircraft it works fine,the engines shuts down like it supposed to. Do you guys know how to fix this? Thanks Ricky

I'm having strange problems with the plane. Most recently, on a trip from KATL to KRDU I assigned an altitude of FL250 ... the plane climbed to FL210 and just stayed there. The only way I could reach assigned altitude is to take over using V/S and disable A/T and keep N1 at about 102%. Also, and this was weird (and new just for this flight) ... all of the buttons on the MCP illuminated (see images attached to this message). On a flight yesterday heading into Memphis the VNAV went absolutely nuts and plunged the airplane into a -7000fps dive ... and VNAV didn't follow the FMC waypoint instructions at all. Is it possible that the installation has become corrupted…
