PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hello All, On my overhead upper and lower panels the switch/knob names are blurry and not lighted. I have 3-D high res ticked on FSX settings. I am running 32 bit, dual core 2.8, 4gb ram. This happens both on day/night time. thanx in advance EC

I'm not sure what the problem is but I am getting extremely frustrated. All of a sudden I am unable to engage my auto pilot after takeoff. The only thing I am doing differently is using vox atc. I didn't have this issue in the demo. I take off and lnav and vnav light up when I press them but command A will not engage at all. This problem is now happening every flight. Chris H

The PFPX home page says it will be available mid to Late August. At last, an end date. For those that don't know what PFPX is, find out, it's going to be one of the best add-ons for any airliner, but especially the NGX!!!! Frank Cooper

Hallo, since today I have a Problem with my PMDG 737ngx. When I load a Flight, then Comes the Loading-Screen up tu "Ladevorgang 100%". But all what I get shown is a black Screen with the Sounds of the 737. (Startup the System, Buttons if I push it on the Joystick (for example the Parking Break) What is wrong?? I still have used it yesterday... Al What I have changed is, that I have installed "Ground Environment X", But this couldn't be the Problem, or?

I wish to make video recordings for certain 737 flights,especially approaches and landings. I played around with FSRecorder and noticed the follwing shortcomings: No recording of the PFD and Nav display No recording of the CDU No indication of flap settings And much more. Therefore I wonder if there is anything better than FSRecorder. I tried to make a video of the computer screen with my video camera but the quality ist somewhat poor. The reason is to learn how to land,therfore I prefer a short recording of that process but with every detail. May be tere is a computer program which would do the trick. Thank you for your help …

How can one verify which version (SP or not) of NGX is installed? I purchased mine a few days back and when I tried to install SP, installer notified me that SP was already installed. Dates on the installers for the main package and the SP are the same, leading me to believe I do indeed have SP installed, but I'd like to confirm that. The reason I'm asking is that I'm seeing some FSX freezes when using FMC on descent that were, according to the messages here in the forum, fixed by SP. Thanks!

Hi all, I am now flying from TNCM to SBBE and I just added a custom waypoint from the BEL (Belem) VOR on my FMC using "BEL245/10". The FMC created a new waypoint called BEL01, perfect so far, and it's right where I wanted it to be. Now, how can I create another custom waypoint from this last waypoint ? I tried "BEL01270/10" but it says "NOT IN DATABASE" ... Well, then I called a friend of mine that is pilot on a real Airline (B738 pilot) and he told me that it's possible to create one using the "BEL01270/10" ... Any reasons why it wasn't created ? Sorry it this thread was already spoken or if it comes on the manual .. tried to check it with no luck…

Hi everyone, I have a problem with what I find to be very high taxi-thrust settings in the B737 NGX. At 40 % N1 it accelerates very slowly and if I pull the throttle back to approx 30 % it begins to decelerate. This hasn't always been so. I remember being able to accelerate rather quickly to 20 kts at 40 % and then it would continue to taxi with almost idle thrust. I have no other addons than REX installed. Is this a known issue and is there a known solution? If this has already been covered elsewhere I apologize. Best regards, Mikkel Gylling Hangaard

I may seem like a total rookie due to my question but I can assure I'm not at all :lol: I've never used any automatic mode on takeoff so far but on my last flight I wanted to use that N1 autothrottle mode on takeoff roll. However, upon pressing that button (with autothrottle armed of course) nothing happened and I'm now wondering how to use that N1 thingy?

I have a problem: I noticed that my almost every single time I try to perform a RTO the autobrakes disarm almost immediately when closing throttles. This is the sequence: A/T armed, everything set up, RTO selected. I push TO/GA switch, start rolling, after 90 kts I disarm A/T and close throttles ti idle, sometimes autobrakes disarm immediately, sometimes I get a maybe 1 sec of braking action and the the autobrakes disarm. About 2/10 of my attempts end in a succesful braking an rejected takeoff though. My first thought was of course that it is a controller conflict because if I have understood correctly the autobrakes should disarm if throttles are advanced or speedbrake l…

I've re-installed the PMDG 737 NGX for FSX and when I go to the FMC and load the fuel it is displaying the weight in kilograms. How do I change that to display pounds?

Have been using FSRecorder to record my flights in the NGX and although this works pretty good there are some things in the NGX that don't get recorded like the position of the autobrake switch, the position of the A/T and so on. I found the below information over at the FS Recorder site and was wondering if this maybe could be a solution so you can have FS Recorder record these switches as well but that of course all depends on whether the NGX uses these so called 'Local Variables'? Sorry, I know this question has been answered before, but I couldn't get my 737 to run on a higher FPS than 10. Usually, with everything on Ultra High I get about 60fps. I really don't need fancy graphics, specially on the cockpit (where the fps drops more). Is there a simple way to turn the graphics down on PMDG?

Hi all Saw this great video of Nor shuttle, to svalbard I have a question tho.. Around 3:16 hes calculating and setting TO trim, it seems to me that he presses a button, and the trim adjusts.. I havent found such feature of the 737-800 NG. It's hard to spot what the FO is doing during this trim movement, so it could be him. My question is, does the 737-800 NG have such feature, if so is it modelled in the NGX? Otherwise enjoy that b-e-a utiful approach, and landing on a rough icy runway Brgrds

Hola PMDG Afficiandos! I have strange problem that just began two weeks ago - I have Saitek X52 joystick and throttle, and the NGX A/T is 'disconnecting' after 3-5 seconds into my takeoff roll. And it just started doing this a couple of weeks ago - for 1 year+ I've had the NGX it had not been problem. I searched and serched the forums, and I found a few posts with similar issue. But, many times the poster had a very complicated joystick/throttle/yoke setup (2 throttles, etc.), so I don't know if the suggested solutions would even work. Hi guys, I just ordered some parts for my home cockpit setup so I'll be posting a few pics when the stuff comes in. So far, i've been using the CPFlight MCP & EFIS with the NGX and i'm loving it. I just ordered the Flightdeck Solutions AFDS panel w/electronics and also the MIP Board from CPFlight to connect everything together. If anyone has experience with that module/board used with the NGX I would be curious to hear your comments on them. Thanks Chris

I am flying a short leg, EGJJ to EGKK. When inserting the STAR WILLO4C the message...CRZ ALT CHANGED TO 27000 apears in the FMC? I am only flying FL190. Is this a bug in the nav data?

Many of us are owners of the Engravity CDU hardware. Approximately 24 individuals have posted on the Engravity website. Engravity will develop a free driver, but they need the SDK to be updated “Ok guys, an update on this. We have had someone looking at the SDK and start development for a driver. Unfortunately the SDK as it is now does not output the display via usb. Since our CDU dus not use a video output but acts like a terminal just like a real CDU it needs to get the data over a serial output. The SDK can not do this. Hi. I like FSX and program so much. I have tried to build a program by C++ to show CDU but failed . As I know, <PMDG_NGX_SDK.h> shows the way to define the bottons on CDU . But I did not find how to read out the Text shown on CDU. How can I know each char on CDU? THX Wangyw
