PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I was just wondering why my wingview fps stays locked at 30, but when I go into the vc cockpit my frames drop in half? I am running i7 2600k etc, etc. This plane is really bad at the fps drop compared to others. Any ideas how to lower the drop would be great. Thank You, Anthony

I saw on frooglism TOPCAT video that he had a choice of TO1 and TO2 in his thrust settings. But in my TOCAT I only have Thrust Config TO? I am departing EGJJ, with a take off weight of 130395Lb using Flaps 10. The runway is very short being 1706m. I am new to using Topcat, what is the reason for this? Jools

Anyone know what this is about. Im guessing its more to do with a navigraph issue but my current cycle is up to date.

I recently purchased the PMDG 737-8/900NGX from the PMDG website today. I have a major problem which none of the buttons in VC and 2D cockpit will work. I will click on them, but they will not respond (Including Battery and Stand-By power switches) I have uninstalled and re-installed, run the installer as admin, but it didn't fix the issue. Hi all! I was doing a few night flights and I'm embarrassed to say that I'm puzzled. There an ambient light in my cockpit that keeps it far to bright for my comfort and I can't find how to switch it off. Anybody knows how to do that? I thought I knew all the lighting controls but have obviously missed this one. I found several images depicting the NGX's cockpit in a full dark lighting with just the instruments illuminated and I would like to achieve that. Please have a look at my screenshot below, Regards

I noticed during a VOR/DME approach that once I dipped below a thousand feet or so ALT ACQ (Altitude Acquire) appeared on my PFD. What exactly does it mean, and what does it do?

Hi all, I have just bought and installed the NGX 800/900 package and updated it to SP1C. I am trying to enter my route from EGPH (edinburgh) to EGKK (gatwick) into the FMS, it lets me enter the airports, the SID and STAR, but I cannot enter the airways, I'm trying to enter UN615 but i get the "not in data base" message. I'm curious to know how realistic is 737NGX in flight behaviour, I just tested the plane by doing TO in various wrong configurations : 1. TO with no flaps deployed at all (though the VR are set either at flaps config of 5 deg or 10 deg) and I rotate the plane at VR 2. TO with wrong VR setting by fill in the wrong GW (below the actual GW) and I rotate at the speed below the requirement VR speed (in other word I rotate the plane before the actual VR requirement) 3. I recently flew tutorial one, from Gatwick airport "EGKK" to Schiphol airport " EHAM ", and I was not able to change the altitude from 5000 to 6000. I think i followed the directions correctly. Here is how tried to do it. To get out of VNAV ALT mode, which was displayed on the in the FMA pitch mode box, I turned the MCP ALTITUDE knob up to 6000 as required, and then I pressed (clicked the on the click spot ) for the ALT INTV button, but nothing happened. The aircraft did not respond, and continued to maintin the 5000 foot level that had been previously set. In order to change the altitude, I had to use the V/S knob by setting a rate of climb in order to get to 6000. Does…

Hi, What are most of you using for the Control Settings in FSX for Sensitivity and Null settings? I'm trying to set my Saitek yoke up to be as realistic as possible realizing that it will not duplicate the real yoke on a 737. Thanks Rob

PMDG 737NGX in FSX Windows 7.....No matter what i try, the only door that will open is the main door. I cant open the airstairs even after assigning the concorde visor extend/retract command... or any other doors via Shift+E+2 ect. I even installed the gauge that supposedly fixes issues with the shift+e commands. What is up with this? I FINALLY get this plane, and the damn doors dont open. Can anyone help with this please?

Tutorial #2's "Cockpit Preflight Flows", step 47 states: Verify that Auto Fail and Sched Descent lights are both extinguished. Problem: The Auto Fail light is still lit and I'm not able to set the Flt Alt or the Land Alt. Both knobs are not working. I have retraced each of my settings three times and still end up with the light being on and the Altitudes unable to be set. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you.

Hello everyone, Has anyone encountered some weird behaviour while flying into oceanic airspace with no NAVAIDs available, using LNAV/VNAV, where the NGX suddenly changes heading with a 90 degree left turn (or even a right turn)? I thought that this was something that could happen while flying close to the north pole as FSX doesn't handle that area well. Today, while doing a FSIA -> OMDB leg, flying north for the major part of the leg, I noticed that VATTASTIC was showing me as flying heading west, I rushed to check the sim in the room just to find myself heading to Africa. Please help, All the suddenly the read/write permission is switch back to read only all the time making it impossible to fly the NGX with EZCA for instance. everytime i make the files read and write it switch back. I have not had this issue before It looks like the panel is corrupted because it starts scrambled in 2D Thanks Michael PS ! i think the files are the aircraft.cfg and the panel.cfg that makes the problem W7/64 bit

Hey Gents, just arrived in El Prat Barcelona (with MegaAirport Addon Scenery). I´m running an I7 @ 3.5 GHZ... and still getting not more than 17 FPS.. they were around 15 and 16. How do you guys get good FPS on big airports? I´m usually only flying to regional airports because of the FPS..i have some WOAI installed..but only running on 33% AI Traffic. My FSX.cfg is tweakd of course.. any further tipps to enjoy bigger airports?

I've noticed today that the font on said panel has changed. I have, over the past few days, had an issue with the ai traffic in fsx. This is now resolved, but could be a possible source of the font issue. Please find attached an image. (I did find reference to this post http://forum.avsim.net/topic/361342-electrical-meter-fonts/?hl=missing+fonts#entry2244254 and cannot locate that font.) I also notice that the HUGS has no display, may be for the same reason. Win 7, all PMDG variants. Regards

Has anyone seen the latest release of boeing's frontiers online magazine? There is a spread in it with an artists rendering of the 737 MAX cockpit and its really something. A beautiful combination of 787-style MFDs and lots of 737NG common features. Imagine a PMDG MAX version for FSX. That would be awesome. Hi everyone, I'm struggling with a problem and would like to ask for help. When entering a waypoint and appropriate radial and distance in the FIX page I would like to copy it to the legs page. According to the operations manual I should press the LSK of the waypoint (radial/distance) and it should be copied to the text line (can't remember the name, but the place where information is posted when you press the keys on the FMC). Thereafter one can enter it in the legs or route page. However nothing ever gets copied when I press the LSK in front of the radial/distance line. Is this a bug or me being stupid? Hey 737 pilots, Today I have flown online on the IVAO network with the fsx and got several freezes, so I have to restart the fsx and replace the b737ngx on last position. This is very frustrating me while I have super strong computer to handle the ngx. In most of time it freezes when Im right click in 3d cockpit view also by left clicking op some buttons in the cockpit I think this problem is reported by people on here, did they know what actually happens and how to solve it? Please let me know.
