I have purchased the boxed version of 737NGX and when I installed it on my new PC the activation failed with a message saying 'max extra activations exceeded' incident id 1571-2325482. Then when trying again Incident 5570-6925464 . And I final message that I don't have a valid license. YES I have I have paid for this product. How can I solve this ? Jan Friberg

Hi, Is there a way to increase to engine sound of the ngx inside the cockpit? Because, when I fly in real live, the engine sound is louder. I think that the engine sound of the ngx is to low. Especially with the startup and takeoff.

In Captain Ray’s amusing book “737NG Training Syllabus : Simulator and Checkride” he notes that “…..the computer will usually make a prediction that will probably see you HIGH and FAST on your approach to the airport.” What has your experience has taught you? Do you over-ride the FMC Flight Plan by using “V/S” and “VL CHG” and later, if necessary, “SPD INTV” and SPEED? Or do you trust in the FMC to bring you in safely as planned? Cliff

This has happened to me a few times and I am not sure how to go about avoiding it. I was doing a full auto land into KBOS today and came down on the GS fine, but the plane lands a few feet to the side of the runway, instead of on the runway itself. This does not happen with every flight, but occurs on occasion. Is it caused by wind? Am I not entering an essential setting into FMC? I use opus for weather and have the default kbos airport. I enter the ils data into my radios in advance and pull the course heading off of EFB.

After pressing "TERR" when flying low in mountainous areas I see blue dots, green dots (both small and large) and solid green. I'd appreciate an explanation that would allowi me to decide if I'm too low or if I'm at a safe altitude. Cliff

I have a non-plug-and-play IOcards flightdeck. I have been using it with iFLY with success and now would like to change to PMDG 737NGX. I found this document "Offset Mapping for PMDG 737NGX" but the offsets are read-only which means I can't have my iocards switches to control the PMDG panel. How do I get both read and write access? Hello Guys... I have a problem updating my NGX. I own a boxed version of the 800/900 and after finishing the installation I apply the service pack 1c from the PMDG website. But when I try to install wether the service update 1, the 800/900 model update or the 1.2 to 1.3 update none of these recognises my installation. A Popup comes up telling me to either install or purchase the NGX. Any Idea what I am doing wrong? Do I need to have the 600/700 for these updates? And where do I get vers 1.2 from?

Greetings: When landing in a direct cross wind of around 23 knots (90 degree to landing runway direction), it's often challenging to keep the aircraft centered on the center line immediately after touchdown. Through trial and error, I've discovered that auto brake settings higher than 1 (2-3) provide better lateral control when using the rudder to maintain the center line. This "appears" obvious as the higher auto brake settings minimize the time that the aircraft is being buffeted by the cross wind. Is this correct procedure ?? Are my assumptions correct ?? By 737 NGX Offset FSUIPC is worked and the MCP data is correct. After restarting fsx or reset the aircraft. FSUIPC can not read any data. FSUIPC need reset too?

Hi Everybody. First post in the forum. Thanks for all the info and help here. I tried to find the solution to the problem in this forum and google it, and found a link to FMC Custom Waypoint Entry Notes (Home/Knowledge Base/PMDG General/FMC Custom Waypoint Entry Notes) , where it explains how to set a custom waypoint, (BTW, the PMDG 747 has a FMC Users Guide Manual that states the same) I'm trying the first format, Alongtrack to comply with ATC (Radar Contact) instruction to be at FL110 10NM before vor XYZ. XYZ is in the flight plan ( RC and NGX FMC). When setting XYZ/-10 at XYZ int the legs, the FMC states INVALID ENTRY. I tried putting the entry before a…

FCOM SP4.6 provides a good overview of procedures for the RNP approach; however, I am old school and habitually try to use any resource available when shooting an instrument approach including monitoring the ILS freq if available when shooting the nonprecision approaches. Is this possible in the NGX? Shooting the RNP per procedures works like a charm, but if I dare turn NAV to and ILS the computers respond as if I am flying the ILS... so far. Next time I will turn VOR updates off on the NAV Options page... is that the secret or should I not be monitoring the ILS?

Hey PMDG-Team, a good German Airline announced that they will "update" their winglets on their 737 fleet coming Winter.. as you can see on the picture attached. would it be possible to add those new winglets with an option in the FMC, to choose between the "old" ones and the new ones? maybe for SP1? Hi, As in the title, I cannot hear any callouts or sounds while using headphones. I can hear the engine sound, but I can't hear any callouts, or comms from the pushback system. This does not happen on speakers, where I can hear all sounds okay. Any ideas what could be wrong, and whether there is a fix?

Greetings all, I was fooling around with the panel states, modifying the "short turn" one to my preferences. I still have the original, which I will keep, along with others, named "Short 1", "Short 2", etc. How do I delete some of the unwanted ones I had created? I tried "DELETE", along with the appropriate LSK but that doesn't seem to work.. Any ideas? Many thanks.

I saw from one of the beta testers that the 777 will have the ability to do single engine taxi realistically. I asked about which new features/enhancements we would get on the NGX when the 777 came out, and Ryan said he would post a list once SP2 for the NGX was out, but I have a question. Will single engine taxi be one of these new enhancements to the NGX, so that it can taxi on one engine realistically just as the 777? Or will it not be fixed in the NGX since this is something that, I assume, can't be easily ported over due to the fact that 777 and the 737 have different engines with differing performance?

Hi everyone I know everyone is fretting in anticipation of the 777 (me too!!) but I love the Ngx so much and occasionally pick up vague references to some of the code / functionality improvements of the 777 will be back implemented to the Ngx (? Sp2). Are there any specifics on what this might mean? In particular I am hoping for a slight bump in performance / fps but not sure if this is likely. Also will there actually be an sp2? I don't see a y mention in the roadmap as far as if/when. Thanks Alex M

I was approached by one of my friends who was talking about this particular upgrade on the Boeing 737... at first I was a bit skeptic, calling it a Airbus knockoff. But apparently this is the real deal and they are installed on some of the United Airlines fleet. Here is a picture of the split scimitar winglet: Will PMDG create an update to the 737NGX that will feature this new addition?

Hi, I'm running FSX Accel, i7 950, W7 64. I use PMDG747/PMDG MD11, no issues at all. I installed the box version 737 NGX, soon as I load that aircraft or another aircraft my system crashes. The initial install, activation code was asked for and when I started to load the 737 all trust confirmation boxes presented to me. But the system crashes. I uninstalled 737 and FSX was back to normal. Since then I have installed 737 multiple times, with no activation code asked for and no trust boxes displayed when trying to load the aircraft, FSX crashes every time. I followed your DLL suggestions and there appears to be no errors. I went through my FSX cfg file to look at the trust …

Hi everyone, Something interesting happened to me when flying a Thomson 737-800 to Skiathos. The outside air temperature before take-off was 30C which didn't make me think twice. A couple of seconds after pressing TO/GA I got a master caution. I couldn't see the message from my side so I assumed it was the door lock glitch. However, the light remained on. It was an "Air cond" caution and the bleed trip off light was illuminated on the overhead panel, along with a cabin zone temp warning for the aft cabin. The temperature for the aft cabin was at 31C even though the temperature control was set to auto. I decided to set CMD B so that I could take a closer look without h…
