PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. FSX is becoming really annoying at the moment. In that there is never a moment when something goes wrong with it, or one of it addons fails. Or there is just a random CTD. I have loaded up FS2Crew, I have Active sky 2012, and I have the PMDG. All are fantastic when they work. Tonight I had to restart FSX for a number of reasons, FSINN crashed. Even when I thought everything was working, FS2Crew, just wouldn't respond to me. So I had to restart. Is there any way to stop the NGX throttling up and flaps set to 15 when I load up at the gate. Even with my Satiek unpluged I have to try and stop the plain crashing into the buildings,by braking hard. This irritatio…

Further down it goes up to 10.0 and through rotation and liftoff it goes to 10.1 and 10.2 respectively. Is that a quirk of the airplane, or has the video been edited with different clips spliced together? I don't think they've used multiple clips as the departure on the ND looks the same. Haven't seen it on the NGX videos. I imagine it's the fuel moving within the tanks that give the fuel level measurement thin…

    I just made captain at my VA so I can now fly the 737-800 but for my first trip I picked the run out to PHNL and back I was wondering how much fuel I should carry and what cost index I should use? I know that the NGX has the range to make it but there aren't alot of places to make emergency fuel stops on that route unless the NGX will run off whale oil haha. Thanks David

    Good Day, I’m having a bit of confusion with the paint kit for the 900 model. I’ve got my livery done, and the 800 model layer is blanked out on the master fuselage so the 900 version shows through and the 800 doesn’t. No problem there. Now, when I copy my merged layer (or flattened layer) for the fuselage sections into the individual fuselage psd files, they don’t match up. They do if I’m painting the 800, but of course the window arrangement on the 900 is somewhat different. Trouble is, I don’t see a 900 layout in the individual panes section of the paint kit. The alpha channel also is correct for the 800 model, but again I don’t see a 900 version. Just in case, I’ve m…

    Lot of you guys fly the RNP Landing procedures especially in the US. I dont thing we have that much of it here in Europe. But what is the preferred system ? I now that LNAV and sometimes VNAV is used for these RNP´s. (Fcom) down to DA Is there any new more precise system underway? Just bought the Aerosoft Trondheim (ENVA) scenery and did my first flight into this airport in the northern Norway yesterday using the NGX and when I was about to catch the ILS into rwy 27 the ILS never kicked in. I could see both the localizer and the glideslope start moving looking at the PFD but the flight modes never changed. No you probably wonder why I ask about this problem in here because first thought would of course be there's a problem with the ILS in this add-on airport scenery and that was my first thought as well since I haven't seen this problem flying the NGX into more than 20 other payware add-on airports but when I posted about this problem in Aeros…

  7. Been away from flight swimming for a while and I've just re-installed FSX and the 737. I use a thrustmaster warthog for flight controls and I have the thrustmaster T500 wheel and pedals for racing, the pedals are configured in simple mode for rudder control. My issue is that whenever I move the aircraft on the ground then my wheel will start slowly turning about 90 degrees left to right, slowly increasing in speed so that by V1 it's going hell for leather! I've checked through the control options and I can't seem to find this control? Anyone else have similar hardware/ issues? Cheers, Dan.

    Hallo some days before i bought and installed pmdg 737-800/900 ngx. From then i experience fsx crashes as displayed in task manager (fsx not responding). I Have made 4 flights with transavia livery 737-800 and gone great, but when i make a flight with KLM 737-800 fsx crashes! I re-installed the livery but the same thing! I dont think that this is a coincidence!

    Hello! The PMDG NGX is really really advanced but it is some small minor things that I miss on the B737NGX. The things are as follows: -Engine options that you can select if you are gonna have 22K, 24K or 27K engines, some airline are using 27K engines, SAS for example are using 22K and 24K engines on the B738, only the newest -800s have 26K engines. TuiFly Nordic/Thomson/AirBerlin uses 27K engines on the newest planes. - SAS 73G/73W has a mix off 22K engines and 24K engines, the oldest ex-Braathens planes have 24K on the B737-700/W(LNTUM, LNTUJ, LNTUK and LNTUL/B737-700W, LNTUH, LNTUI, and LNTUD/B737-700) the rest of them has 22K engines except of the newe…

    I just tried to install the boxed version of the 737NGX, but it does not show up in my FSX. I think the problem is that I have FSX installed in my route directory (C:/Flight Simulator X) but the install does not give me an opportunity to point the 737NGX into that directory. I think that it is going to the default directory instead (C:program files/microsoftgames/...) How do I manually direct it into the correct location. Thanks.........Steff

  14. The PMDG 737-800/900 was working fine, until I install the SP1 for the 737 and installed the expansion, after i installed these, the game loaded until the main menu, then Fatal Error. I've tried to uninstall the expansion and repair, but it just got worse, the crashes before the main menu appears now.

    I did an autoland at some airport and entered the ILS data for the rwy to land on. ( frequency and rwy heading ) The freq and rwy heading were then indicated on the PFD. Prior to landing I did a holding pattern and after exiting it the PFD now indicated ISW / 225 instead of 109.9/225. To my surprise I got the LOC and G/S and could land. My question is: what means ISW and how could I get the 109.9/225 back ? Cheers Herbert Werni

    Today, during a technical conference it was mentioned by a highly reliable source that the B737NG FMS has two programming options for VNAV, one based on descent performance and the other based on geometric path. It appears that the performance option is simulated in the NGX. It was said that most FMS installations use the performance option, but at least one prominent B738 operator in the US uses the geometric path option. Just curious if PMDG included this option in the NGX and I just haven't found it yet, or if they considered it and decided not to include it. Thanks, Rich Boll Wichita, KS

  20. Hi. Just bought and installed the 737NGX and have a question related to the autopilot. It certainly does not behave like the original FSX 737 which is quite instinctive. I can't get it to keep the set speed or altitude and am unable to find ANY information on the use of the autopilot without the FMS. Any pointers as to where to find this info is appreciated. Also, panel wise everything looks fine but any change in the view to the exterior does not show the aircraft, just its shadow and some odd pieces of it. What could be the problem here.     Hello guys, I'm having a little problem with my NGX. It doesn't happen everytime, and some times it comeback to normal. What happens is I'm entering the winds on the winds page and suddenly when I click for example R3 key to enter the wind for that way-point, the data doesn't get populated and the Exec button doesn't lit. I have to go to another page for that to happens. From that time on, it happens again with any data I want to change. Also I loose my vertical path and calculations and VNAV won't engage.     I have tried countless times yo get the HUD to show anything. Even loading from the PMDG tutorial #2 saved flight the HUD always remains blank when I lower it? Is tere some solution? If so, I wold like to hear about it

  25. I realise that this problem smacks of corruption and therefore a reinstall might be necessary. My speed tape on the ND shows the red indications well above stall speed, and do not 'decrease' as flap is added. Indeed it seems to be stuck. If this is finger trouble on my part, then I would be grateful for suggestions. It is unneerving having all indications wrong on approach, and with the speed marker flashing yellow then red as more flap is added. Yet the plane lands at the correct indicated speed. Otherwise I shall reinstall.
