I've discovered an interesting phenomenon regarding how ground effect is possibly modeled with the 737 NGX during the landing phase. After quite a few repeated tests, I've found the there appears to be a critical AOA and/or pitch attitude that seems to define a sort of internal flight dynamics modeling threshold. If the aircraft exceeds this threshold during the last few moments before flare, ground effect simply never seems to happen. If, however, the aircraft remains within some kind of flight modeling threshold limit (AOA or pitch attitude range?), ground effect seems to be correctly modeled and implemented. Hello, Since short i noticed a problem with the NGX + Saitek Pedals + ImagineSim VHHH When the airplane starts to move and i press the pedals with my feet all of the sudden the aircraft jumps of to 500FT. And it then flies off. So what happens is that the plane apperently falls down the scenery, the wheels fall through the tarmac textures, which makes the ngx thinks its flying. calling out V1, VR and V2 and so on. This happens every single time I press the pedals. I can put the plane back at a position at the airport. does not matter where, it keeps occurring. Hi to you all,I download and "install" then new sound pack with the new "nose gear sound" and new GRND (taxi roll sound)... try to listen those 2 sounds with mediaplayer they sound ok !!!!! the problem is that into fsx I just hear "nose gear sound" once over 60 kts,but I can't hear taxi sound......trying to change the settings into the equalizer I can hear the taxi sound and no more nosegear sound.... I ve already try to increase every single settings in audio settings of both fsx and 737ngx FMC...I also tried to increase taxi roll sound volume into sound.cfg ....no result.... Is that a solution to this ??? Could someone give an advice to the right settings for my cp…

I recently purchased AES for one of my airports and I am wondering if I have to make any changes in the aes config so that it works with my 737 ngx. At first I thought my baggage was not being loaded into the plane, but now that I have watched some videos etc it does not appear this is a feature that is enabled in aes, is this correct? My plane also bounces up and down on the push back. I have clicked repair pushback and I am hoping this will resolve the problem. Chris

I did the flight London,Gatwick to Amsterdam according to the PMDG tutorial and verything went fine. After that I made a flight plan Zurich-Geneva and performed the flight as described in the above tutorial. To my surprise I get a message "glide slope,glide slope" prior to touchdown.This is an autoland. Does anybody have an idea how to get rid of this message and what the cause could be ? One can download NGXEFIS_PP_202 and NGXMCP_PP_202 from opencockpits.com download site. They work well. However, I cannot find anyone that has done a LUA for radios. Without it, I can't see how I could get the frequencies from the radios to my IOcards hardware.

It seems I have two options for a "real world" take off ( PMDG-737 ) a) Advance throttle to 40 % N1 and then press TOGA. b) Just advance the throttle compeletly forward and not pressing TOGA Both methods work and I now wonder what method is used in the real world ? Hubert Werni

I noticed that the PMDG-737 has two A/P buttons.One located on the captain's yoke,the other one on the MCP ( on the right side ) What is the difference between the two.I read in the London-Amsterdam tutorial to use the A/P on the MCP after reaching 400 feet. hi to you all,I fly 737 NGX just in 3D COCKPIT view,I would like to stop the momentum effect so I change "momentum effect=true" to "momentum effect=false" in camera.cfg...in both camera.cfg..the one under app data...etc and the one into main fsx folder...the result is that momentum effect is now less marked but it is still there.... Hi everyone, I wanted to fly some RNP approaches to some of the lesser known Alaska airports in the NGX, but apart from finding one file with approach data in the avsim library that can be used by the NGX FMC (PAKT, PAPG, PASI, PAWG), I really really would like to fly the rnp for PAJN runway 26 but can't find anything on the interwebs. I thought there would be a bunch of RNP approaches coded for the PMDG NGX since it's release, but haven't found any apart from the aforementioned Alaska file and one for a New Zealand airport. Does anyone have this approach, either via NGX FMC data or approach plates, that they can legally share with me?

Hello I recently bought PMDG 737NGX and facing problem with my Yoke and Joystick. Both Yoke and Joystick are enabled when I start my flight but somewhere in middle of the flight my Yoke and Joystick both get disabled. If I try to see my Yoke and Joystick in FSX Controls I do not see them. I just see my mouse. Both my mouse and Keyboard are active. Please help me resolved this problem. Hi folks, I have one question, why are the animations in the cockpit and on the wingview especially so choppy? For example the deployment of the speedbrakes is choppy either. Is there any way to solve this kind of issue? The trimwheels in the cockpit seems to be very choppy and not smooth enough as on the real Boeing 737 NG aircraft!!!! Hey, so i was just satrting a flight in the cold and dark option, i did everything that had to be done, but when i went to configure the FMC what ever i pressed, it wouldnt respond, FSX was still running, it wasn't lagging, but then i tried again, this time the ELEC buttons werent responding, the yaw damper wasn't responding. I just don't know what to do! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! :(

Hey guys, So im having a very bad problem with my NGX, And in fact it all starts on the ground, it has to do with the Altitude indicator and the TAT, Every time on the ground when you look at the TAT display and just say it read - +18, The alitude would woulf be set at 0020. All of a sudden the TAT would rise to +26 in 1 second, just a massive 7 degree increase in under 1 second. and whilst that is happening the Altitude indicator bounces from say 0020 to 0080 and then back to 0020. In the air it gets worse, as im climbing the TAT will be at +15 and then it will jumo again to say +22 whilst that happens the plane goes into what you could call severe turbulance…

Howdy fellow simmers - need your help - the NGX 600/700 "Activation Required" keeps appearing every time I try and load the plane(s). I enter the activation code and it accepts it "Activation Successful" but next time we are at it again :-( I have disabled my firewall, opened port 8888 tried a reinstall of FSX and the aircraft, have all the service packs, done just about everything I can think of.. I have a ticket into PMDG and am hoping they respond - In the meantime any help would be more than appreciated as I see lots of fellow pilots have had the same experience! Hi! I recently bought PMDG 737NGX and AIRAC 1307! I did a testflight from ESMS to ESSA. The toute I was supposed to fly was: NEXIL N851 MIKNA Z226 NILUG I typed in NEXIL, M851 and MIKNA into the FMC. But then when I try the write Z226 it says "invalid entry" Any ideas?

After a few problems with FSX I decided to sort them out which involved a few textures that were missing, I then corrected these problems, launched FSX and selected the PMDG 737NGX WL. FSX then loaded up as per usual until I got to the cockpit itself and then the aircraft did a front flip and landed nose first into the runway. This happens at every airport and every variant of the PMDG 737NGX. If anyone knows what is going on please post a response! Thank You

I'm looking to configure my NGX so that the aircraft and its panel will display properly across an AMD Eyefinity 6 monitor display. My particular setup includes 5 monitors for the outside scenery and one monitor for the instrument panel. Anyone care to share their Accufeel V.2. settings? I don't seem to be able to get the cockpit rattling and shaking as I beleive it should on takeoff. Clearly some fine tuning is in order. What I am looking for is a little more aggressive shaking and rattling on takeoff. So far my efforts have resulted in some pretty timid movement. (These aircraft are the workhorse busses of the sky and frequently to upto 5 short haul flights a day - so I would imagine they loosen up pretty quick).. Thanks Ray

During this period I have experience FSX crashing around 20 times.
