  2. After entering the key commands for the A/T, A/P Disengage switches in the FMC, is there anything else that is needed to keep them since everytime I shut down FSX I lose those commands in the FMC. It's a pain to keep re-entering them as I'm following the FSUIPC setup from AoA 737 Training.

    Hi all. im referring to the CIREBON ONE CHARLIE SID out of WIII that states 9000 @ HALIM and 11000 @ NUREN and FL 190 @ PURWAKARTA. When I fly this SID in the NGX, I seem to be hitting the required ALT 10nm before the actual waypoints (In all cases). From my (limited) understanding of ALT constraints, the FMC states 9000.11000 and FL190 without an AT or Below. Just wondering my my NGX is getting to the stated alts "early". Is it something to do with my CI? Should the aircraft get to 9000 on the NAV display (VNAV PATH) AT 9000, not before? My FMC displays HALIM 250/9000 Cheers Chris

  4. I have a couple of questions regarding a go-around that I can't seem to find the answers to... 1) Having executed a go-around, I select the roll mode above 400 AGL (usually HDG SEL). However, when I select a vertical mode such as FLCH or V-NAV, the roll mode disconnects and the lateral bar on the FD disappears. I'm left with only the pitch command bar and I have to re-select the roll mode. Is this normal for the 737NG? 2) How can I ensure that the missed approach procedure in the FMC is ready to be used for the go-around? The route is always displayed with a dotted blue line and I cannot engage L-NAV as a roll mode. Many thanks, Martin

    PMDG did a great job at realistically making the NDB signal fluctuates over distances. Would they consider adding minor fluctuations to the G/S signal as well? In fact, has any other addons ever done so?

The PMDG Manuals and information taught me to control the aircraft with a reasonable degree of competence. However I can't kid myself that I’m anywhere near the stage that I’d like to achieve.     Hi, Whenever starting a new flight (I have selected a cold and dark state as the startup panel state) the aircraft is in fact moving with the engines running. It then comes to a halt immediately, the engines go off and the count down starts. Another strange thing is if I select an outside view and then select the virtual cockpit, I have sound, like the engines are running. However, these two matters do NOT happen when loading any of the saved stages of the tutorial flights when the aircraft is stationary on the ground. Then everything is as expected. Greatful for any tips that could resolve the situation. Kind regards

    I've recently bought the 737NGX package. It is a really fantastic piece of work. I love the sounds and the realism in it. However I cannot get the aircraft to lock onto L-NAV. The moment I engage my cmd autopilot the aircraft starts rocking and then L-Nav disengages. I've read the tutorial and I do not know what I'm doing wrong. Its getting very frustrating. Any help or suggestions would be welcome. It is detracting from my enjoyment of what is a fantastic aircraft.

Hi all, I just came across this picture: http://www.airliners.net/photo/SpiceJet/Boeing-737-8GJ/2203865/L/&sid=058387db33a68ebdc1b9b75a1cb6a070 As you can see, there is no N1 reference indication on the upper EICAS display. I have never seen that on my NGx (nor on many photographs). What is the background of this? I have never experienced that on my NGx also, even when starting up cold and dark. Thanks!

    I currently fly all of my flights with the NGX using Delta Virtual's ACARS tool. The latest version includes a load factor and passenger load calculation provided by the server. Are there currently any facilities to programatically tell the NGX the passenger load outside of sending specific controls to the FMC to program the number? Cheers! Luke

    I have been using this thing for quite some time now, and am fairly confident in entering a flight plan into the computer. So it puzzled me the other night when I was setting up a flight plan from KFLL to KJFK, and got my SID and STAR entered. I then did the EXECUTE thing and went to watch the route unfold on the screen. Clicked on the LEGS button, and got this screen - note the bottom label, RTE DATA>. When I click on this, I get LEGS, and when I click on LEGS, I come back to RTE DATA>. I cannot get to STEP to save my soul. Probably overlooking some very simple solution, but since I've been doing this for awhile, I don't know why, all of a sudden, I cannot step…

    Hi, I've got a problem with FSX, and in particular with window borders of panels on a second screen. I use FSX in window-mode, with 2 screens. The first screen is a big monitor, which shows the scenery + VC etc. The 2nd screen is build in the OpenCockpits FMC. Now when I put the FMC screen of the PMDG on my hardware FMC I have to select the panel, undock the window and drag it to the FMC. However, it still shows part of the border on my main screen. Below is a screenshot of the problem, where you can see the border of the FMC window at the middle-right.     I am having trouble hearing the atis at any airport. I have tuned to the proper freq and made active. Nothing. I have tried vhf 1 and 2. All other aircraft both native to fsx and 3rd party work fine. I would appreciate any suggestions.

    Hello people! As previously discussed in http://forum.avsim.net/topic/403290-reading-door-annunciators-via-sdk/ there are a few things that are missing in the SDK (SP1C). I managed to work around most of them using ugly LUA hacks. Since then I've stumbled across a bunch of new issues in the SDK. Some of them are just related to inconsistencies in how switches and knobs work, for example some momentary-on switches will return automatically while others will not, so you have to do that manually by sending multiple events. Also, FSX will crash because of an error in PMDG_737NGX.DLL when sending events while a flight is loading. This is easily fixed by check the sim status.…

  22. I had this problem before. It was a windows update that messed up my trebuchet fonts. Reinstalling it cured my last set of errors. Now I have the same problem, and reinstalling trebuchet doesn't help. I don't know which other fonts to check... Can you help?

  23. Hello. Some times I got this problem, I see on my FMC "NO DES PATCH AFTER...." and I click in CRL to cancel this menssage. But if this menssage turn apear again, again and again.... and I cancel 2-5 times, my FSX just stop runing. Nowadays if I see this menssage I don't cancel anymore because I'm afraid crashes on my simulator... Anyone have this problem? Thanks

    As I was browsing the failures on the CDU during my last flight I noticed that the 9th stage bleed air had failed. Did the research online and I know I must have operated the throttles above idle with the APU supplying bleed air ("Dual Bleed"). So I know what I did wrong but there were no indications in the cockpit (that I could see). Question for the community: How would this failure be picked up on a real aircraft? Is this something that would be found during the normal check before each flight, during an overnight check, or something even longer?
