I have reinstalled everything with the arrival of a new laptop. Everything works well however I cannot get speed or radio altimeter call outs. I have gone into the Options menu on the FMC and under "simulations" (page 3) the call outs are set to "yes" for the FO. Nothing works but if I load the 744X all the call outs work just fine. Any ideas anyone? Gerry

Hi, In the old FS9 you could set the outside view throught the VIEWS menu. I am using the 737NGX and FSX and would like to set the outside view to 0.75 - how does one go about doing this as I can't seem to find anything that allows you to set the view? Thanks Rob

Hi, The resolution is really grerat when I am flying in the daytime but when I am at night the resolution and the scenery is very poor quality and the buildings are one color. I'm using an Nvidia 650 graphics card. I didn't have this problem with FS9 and I was running an Nvidia 9800 GT. Any ideas what this might be caused by? Thanks Rob

Hi, I changed flightsimulator from FSX to P3D, which works fine however the beloved 737NG does not work because it was designed for FSX only. I know. Is there a migration tool available in future? Ulrich

I want to fly as F/O on the NGX but after selecting the F/O's seat the camera movement is really slow. I'm not quite sure but I assume this is normal in FSX, but nevertheless I find it pretty annoying. Is there any way I can make the camera move faster?

Admittedly, 90% of all of my RL aircraft experience has been with the F-4C/E, F-16 (All variants), and the F-111F. So taking what I know about those beasts, I assumed some things about Boeing, the 737NG, and the terrain display on the ND. Follow me, I'm going somewhere with this. Terrain mapping in those aircraft was real time using the radar altimeter and the attack radar in ground mapping mode. Following my polite conversation with Ryan the other evening regarding the lack of wx radar and what could be done about it (this isn't a wx radar post, so zip it!), I thought to myself, "Self, how can you have a terrain display while sitting at the gate? That's not very …

Hello all, I used to have FSX installed on my C drive with NGX installed and working perfectly. I re-installed FSX on a new specific drive but could not get access to the NGX installers due to PMDG download policy (I lost the original NGX installers I got on purchase because the drive, on which the installers were saved, collapsed....). I tried to copy and paste all NGX files from C drive to the new drive where FSX is installed. The aircraft seems to be working except that I miss all the gauges indications : it looks like a problem of fonts. Could somebody please confirm the Copy / Paste method I used can work ? If the answer is yes, what did I mis…

I've loaded a flight plan (FSC) as usual, take off, activate the AP and follow altitude instructions from the FMC heading toward the first waypoint. Only problem is, after a few seconds of climbing to the altitude as indicated by the FMC, the rate of climb slowly begins to drop well before reaching the waypoint. Eventually it drops to 0 rate of climb before reaching the waypoint. All knobs, switches and buttons are activated as required. The only way I could resume the climb was to activate the v/s. Never saw this before and can't figure how to correct it. Anyone ever had similar a problem and found a way to corrrect it? Jack Fentress

I have a problem with the runway lighting where it makes the runway appear green/purple and very low res. I feel like I have tried everything to fix this and I have not been able to find the solution online. The attached image is a fresh copy of FSX with nothing but the NGX SP1 installed. Windows and FSX are both up to date, all other addon/default aircraft do not have this problem. Specs: Windows 7 i7 2600k MSI GTX 670 (Same thing happens with my ATI card) 16GB RAM (tested) Resolution: 1920x1080 - I have tried lowering it, running multiple and single monitors, and windowed and full screen in FSX. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sometimes when I fly in the NGX I cannot reach my cruising altitude. The rate at which the plane climbs is very low and by the time I get there it is time for my descent. I turn off the autopilot an increase the climb but then the speed drops. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

I'm having a slight bit of difficulty trying to get the HGS display to line up properly for takeoff (I can fiddle with it on landing to get the display correct by using the left, right and up arrow buttons). However, when I try to made the same adjustments for takeoff (using the same keys) the movement to the left and right is way too exagerated. Is there another key stroke method that allows adjustment of a view with a finer control? Here is an example of the problem ... this is as close as I can get the display to align before takeoff ... notice the right edge is cut off.

Hello, Im making some training of engine failures at T.O.As you may know, the correct procedure for trimming the rudder is to make rudder input until the control column is level, then trim. The problem is that the control column doesnt animate correctly, or at least I dont know if there is a way for it to animate correctly. After engine failure the control column is displaced to the side of the operative engine and when I make the rudder input it doesnt level. Anyone knows the solution to this problem ? Thank you very much. Jose Antanas Serginskas

I apologize if this has been asked before. I have had the 737 NGX since it first came out but have never really messed with it very much. I now want to get into it and learn the in's and out's of the plane. My question is is it better to start with the second tutorial which has in it the cold and dark procedures, or the first tutorial that was released. Or is it important at all which one I should start with. Thanks. Jim

Hi all, Just wondering if we will see the EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) on the NGX after the PMDG 777. Has PMDG mentioned or said anything else they would like to add/do to the NGX? Also would you like anything added to the NGX? (Im sure everyone here will agree its brilliant already) Thanks

Ok so when I plan a flight currently I use FSX flight planned make a vfr flight plan and use high airways. Is there a better programme for this maybe where I can incorporate STARs and SIDs? And also how about weather is there a better way of using real world weather then just letting FSX download it? And how can I plan what sort of head winds or tail winds ill be getting at cruise?

Thanks

so after loading the short turn panel state The view would randomly change to outside view. At first I thought it was a problem with my mouse because it happened so close to my clicking on the CDU. reloaded flightsim still did it again. Then I re-installed fsuicp (reg. version) re-imputed my joystick commands. Reloaded FSX then disabled the view switch keyboard command and joystick command. reloaded FSX and it still happened. It has happened on 2 of my repaints (only tried 2 of them before getting frustrated and asking for assistance) and only happens if I change the panel state. Any help would be much appreciated. Russell Homan PS I am running service pack 1c

Hello, Can someone chime in and provide me with a "how to" or "tutorial" on flying an RNAV approach in the PMDG 737NGX? Is it as easy selecting an RNAV approach within the FMC and then selecting the APP button prior to crossing the would be localizer? I believe this procedure only works for IAN integrated approaches. If IAN is not integrated then a LNAV/VNAV coupled approached is required correct? With either case, how is speed controlled? Does the speed need to be programmed into the FMC as well or can you select the SPD button and control it yourself? Also, will the speed automatically "click off" once the wheels touch the ground like with a normal ILS approac…
