PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

    The other nite while i was in FSX files i accidentally deleted a PMDG 737 folder by accident.I've tried numerous installs to recover but the 737 NGX won't spoole up and several switches don't work.Have i lost it forever or is there some way to get it functional again.Ive done a restore on my cpu to a date before the incident but the problem still remains.Any help would be appreciated.I know it says in the read me section of the install "DON'Tdelete any files" but it was not intentional.Thanks

    i did just send a ticket on this issue, but heres what im trying to do. im running 3 pcs. 2nd pc took my 737-800 but my 3rd pc says "max activation" incident# 5960-12181 is there something i can do to make it activate. widetraffic sugjests using same type aircraft on clients as server thats why im doing this i think this is the 4th time activating my 737-800 ngx thank you

    even though I don't have a very powerful computer, I bit the bullet and purchased NGX, and I love it! The best part about it is that it just feels real. Can't wait to get a better computer to really unleash the power of this product. However I do have a question. And yes I have searched for the answer and looked in the manuals, I'm just constantly busy, so I figure I'd ask here. I I am trying to do a flight out of John Wayne Airport in So Cal, to DFW, and everytime I select the cut back thrust option for the quiet climb procedure, the fmc says it can't do it. What conditions have to be met in order for the cut back to be operational?

    Hi, I seem to be having a problem with the parking brake. It goes on OK, but when I release it it doesn't seem to go all the way to release. The parking brake set message stays lit. I have tried to get it to work with both the mouse in VC and the period in FSX, but the message stays on and the aircraft does not move. I'm also using AES but that doesn't seem too make any difference. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks Rob

    There is a lot of 'is this a bug' and moaning (plus a lot of positives) going on with lots of people looking for someone or something to blame. Everything is perfect for me. I am using a Warthog HOTAS (not very authentic looking but it is THE BEST JOYSTICK EVER and have mapped all of the in-flight important stuff to switches and buttons via FSUIPC. I have throttle 1 &2 individually mapped and calibrated, the reversers are all mapped via FSUIPC. My system is a Windoze7 64bit o/clocked E8600 (3.5GHz) Core2 Duo GTS250 and I have very, very acceptable visuals (except no autogen 'cos I hate it) with Aerosoft Heathrow, all NZ scenery and mesh, EZDok, I get over 60FPS on 2…

  8. Hello, I just switched my joystick out to a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and I assigned Button 04 to Elevator trim (down) and Button 06 to Elevator trim (up) ... I assumed this action would cause the Trim Wheel to turn when the buttons are pushed (Repeat is slid all the way to the right for both buttons) ... but the elevator settings do no change in the PMDG. Also, for a further bit of troubleshooting, I loaded the Microsoft Baron 58 and the Orbit Regional Jet and the elevator controls work correctly with my joystick buttons in both of those planes. Is there a trick to getting this to work in the PMDG 737NGX? Thanks, Charles T. Blankenship

    I first did this when I was over at noFly and became used to the convenience of having the EFIS gauge right to the left of the MCP gauge (instead of simply showing the MCP only) when flying in the VC and viewing the 2D MCP (Full) window. It is easy to do ... and here is the code you can enter into your .cfg file if you want to.     I'm probably the only guy who just now finished tutorial 2 (with success minus a little navdata hiccup). I bought this plane when it came out and still fly it frequently as a BBJ (the B738 WL). A few months back, my good friend, who is captain on a CRJ2, tried programming the CDU/FMS/FMC (I never know what it's called - I'm a GA guy!).     Just purchased the PMDG 737 NGX. Compared to other sims this is the best I have ever used. However, my knowledge of the cockpit layout and switches is not very good, the manual etc that come with the disk do not show this. Or if it does I cannot find it. I have started to learn how to set up the CDU and other instruments as per manual. I get to the page59/60 EFIS setup, and ISFD, it mentions range knobs TFC buttons and so on. The manual is not that clear and I need a large cockpit layout poster, I understand there are a set of three PMDG posters that can be bought from the US (precision manuals).     Hi all. Flying the NGX 738W and have come across an unusual thing, that I am sure has an easy explanation. I am using EZYDOK to switch between views in the VC. When I am in the pilots eye view, I created in EZYDOK, none of the buttons or switches work or animate (Doesn't change to a hand cursor) Yet if I switch to any other view inside the VC (also created in Ezydok) All the switches animate and turn/click etc. Just wondering if I have missed something. Also, I would like to assign Toggle1/Toggle2 on a Saitek x52 pro to the idle/cutoff levers. Cant see the settings in the assignments in FSX. Is this possible? I'm brushing up my autoland skills in the NGX (assuming it takes skill to perform one, but that's another matter), and in doing so have come across a seemingly strange occurrence. When performing a single A/P autoland following a bog standard ILS approach, the NGX seems to execute a perfect landing flare automatically. However, FCOMv2 4.20.19 says: Am I misreading that bullet point and does the 737 still perform a kind-of flare and autoland, instead of a full automatic one, when only a single A/P is engaged?   15. I really don't know exactly where to post this question but figured since it involved the NGX I would ask it here... So, I'm building a home cockpit based on the NGX. I have 3 monitors, one as primarily the forward view and 2 for different cockpit instruments. The PFD, NAV and Systems screens all run great on my 2 instrument monitors. I'm able to "Undock" them from either the 2D or Virtual cockpit views and move them to my other 2 monitors.     Just thought I would share a funny flight I had today as a test after reinstalling FSX So my first flight after purchasing GSX ground crew and trying it out started from Gatwick and was going to fly a short hope down to St Mary's (very short runway for a laugh) I was in a rush as only had about an hour till I had to leave my house. Not much planning and just got the rout in the FMC pushed back started up flying through the check lists. Taxied out and got her into the air. Up to FL350 and into cruise for a short while.   18. Just pushed back and noticed the left and right fwd overwing exit lights are both illuminated. I have checked all doors are closed according to the Doors menu in the FMC, I have checked from the outside and the doors are closed and I have checked I have no failures active so can't understand why these warning lights are illuminated and how to make them extinguish...? Anyone else seen this? I have never seen this problem before.

    Hi guys, this may sound stupid, but i am having problems with the vnav descents. It descends way to slow. When i reach the airport, i am always way to high, arround 6000 AGL.     I'm on page 53 of the tutorial 2 manual. For the FO's flows I looking at the hydraulics for FLT CONTROL. The tutorial shows the LOW PRESSURE lights to be off. In my sim they are on, along with fuel pressure being low on page 55. I've followed the tutorial to a T to this point. What did I do wrong?   21. I've spent approximately the past three months on researching for parts, and the past two months acquiring the parts for a new build. This build is dedicated for FSX, however, I will still use it daily. Although I say this is built for FSX, I'm more referring to the fact that I built this for NGX and the upcoming 777.     Hi, buddies. I´ve been having problems when i select an altitude on the ngx. for example: if i select 25000 feet, and i am climbing, it passes two hundred feet and it ends on 25200. Then it descends to 25000 feet, but it always has that problem. And if i descend, it happens the same, but in instead of ending on 25000, it ends on 24800. tatin 98

As the topic suggests, I've noticed when doing a flight with the NG and using WAI when I'm back on the ground at my destination the WAI L and R Valve lights are illuminated although WAI has been switched to the OFF position? I have tried switching WAI back to ON and then back to OFF again but the lights won't extinguish. I'm using FS2Crew Voice Edition if that is of importance.
