One of the final things I have to do to make the checklists complete is get the light logic down. Here are some "facts" that I have gathered from the tutroials and Mike Ray's books on the 737. It makes sense to me that a light should only come on right before it is needed, otherwise, you could simply turn all of them on when you begin the Cold and Dark startup procedure ... but then if that were true, you'd be burning an expensive lightbulb when you don't have to ... so here goes: "The ANTI-COLLISION light has to be on at all times when the plane is moving" Therefore, it makes sense to turn this light on right before parking brake release and pushback. Would anyone be willing to paint up an XL Airways (eg. G-XLAI) livery for the NGX -800? Its surprising that there hasn been one done yet. There is an XL Germany one, but I would like to see a new UK registered one. It would also be great to see an Excel Airways livery (ie. the light blue engines and tail with "excel" branding. Any takers? Would be very pleased to hear from anyone who might consider this. Many thanks, Rich

Evening all! I have a little issue with my 737 models. Everytime when I take this bird in the air, the FSX would stop, load something, then a rectangle would flash in the top left in the fsx. This would do it about every 10-20 mins. This does not affect any of my MD-11's or JS41's. Thanks for your help! 777 for the win!

I'm trying to program a GoFlight Module(rp-48) as my EFIS. I'm able to assign everything properly using keyboard mapping after assigning most of the EFIS funtions keyboard assignments using the CDU. My only issue is after assigning the Terrain function with a keybaord assignment and programing the GoFlight module button with that keyboard assignment, it only controls the F/O display and not the Pilots display. Every other assignment works through my module... And, I know that both the F/O and Pilots EFIS can be program seperately... I've checked and only the Pilots EFIS "Terrain" feature is programed with a keyboard assignment in the CDU. Anyone else ever …

I bought TrackIR 5 last week and it works great with every add-on in FSX except the NGX. When I start taxiing, the VC begins to "flicker" rapidly. As long as the plane is standing still it's okay. I might need to make a video to explain this unless someone has seen it before. I have EZDok and Accu-Feel installed but even with those effects turned off it still flickers. Mind you, this is the only add-on doing this, otherwise TrackIR works great in FSX and DCS World. Anyone have a solution?

Hi, I'm after some huge help as I am totally lost. I have just bought a new computer with Win 7 64-bit. I can't remember how to overwrite the .cfg with Bojote's tweaked .cfg but anyway i can't save any change to the .cfg as I can't get permissions. I've followed directions I've Googled on ownership and permissions but I'm not getting anywhere and can't figure out what to do next. Is there anybody out there who can give me some nice steps to follow to make it work so that I can use the 737NGX again? Richard Wade

Can my PC handle the NGX? The only addons I use are, Ultimate traffic 2, ifly 737ng with fs2crew voice and Flight beam's KPHX HD. I would Probably uninstall ifly if I Bought PMDG, So my specs that that iv listed are before I uninstall ifly. I am running Windows XP, Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.8 ghz and 3 GB RAM 2 NVIDIA Ge Force 8800 GTS 512 My question is do I have enough here to run the 737NGX well? I'm also thinking ahead to the 777. I know this should probably be on the radar contact section (move if needed) but it does relate the NGX as the only plane I ever load on FSX. My question is how well does it work with the 737NGX I like to fly as realistic as I can. I hear that it doesn't support SIDs and STARS? And also that it doesn't allocate a taxi rout. I have activated my product since November 03 2011 and today it asks again for activation. Besides this i get this error :ERROR: flxActCommonRepairLocalTrustedStorage - (50044,71013,1)You do not have a valid licence installed for this product. Come on!! Is this a joke? Do I really need open a ticket to fix this mistake? Please I would like a serious answer from PMDG staff.

Hi Have enjoyed flying the 800/900 aircraft over the last few months, so today I purchased the 600/700 addon, the installation programme installed the addon, but no activation window appeared, consequently I just get a black screen on aircraft selection, I have tried installation twice with the same non results, . Hi , Bought a new desktop some 2 weeks ago. Specs. Board Asus Sabertooth Z77 s1155 CPU Intel Core i7-3770 s1155 GPU Asus GTX 660 Ti DCII OC 2GB HD WD Green 2TB Memory Corsair Vengeance 1600-8GB Sufficient enough to run 737NGX I guess ( although I have a lot of addons ) I can't get another livery flyable ( the ones from the PMDG site !! no other ) With the base livery of PMDG it's no problem to initialise, but when I select another it fails, or FSX crashes. On my older desktop it wasn't a problem , although FSX pretty much crashed during flight as the older desktop was obsolete. Right now it feels like I can flush the 60 Euro's spent on the 73…

Have you ever tried V1 cut at field limit weight ? I have tried v1 cut with a runway of 2200 m. lenght. For that runway at sea level ONH 1013 14 degrees celcius field limit is 74.000 kgs for maximum takeoff thrust of 26k engine. I tried to takeoff with engine failure at V1 and I couldn't get off before the end of runway. The engines maybe producing less power than they should be at maximum takeoff thrust. (The definition of field limit weight states that in case of a v1 cut the plane should be able to rotate and climb 35 feet above ground level by the end of the runway) Do you have any idea regarding what might be wrong?

Forgive me if this topic is stupid, but I have searched this forum and found a few topics like this. But it seems to me that everybody is talking about different things. I will try to explain my issue. I fly alot from Stockholm Arlanda - ESSA. ESSA has new STARS since the summer of 2012. Before that, traffic arriving from the south had TRS VOR as the final waypoint before the approach. STARS from the south started at TRS VOR. However, due to heavy traffic from the south the Swedish FAA decided to split traffic to Stockholm Arlanda ESSA and Stockholm Bromma ESSB.
