Trying to program my PMDG737NGX reversers using FSUIPC. Last step is to "unassign" reversers in FSX. Can't find "throttle reverser" anywhere in the "Settings-Controls", sub-menu "Buttons and Keys". I see throttle decreases and cuts... but no reversers. I know a pretty basic question but would appreciate help. Searched forums but couldn't find anything. Jeff Even Rockln, CA

At the "rotate" point on take off and the calls on descent I hear two separate voices saying the same thing, i.e. "rotate". I assume one is from the NGX & one from FSX. Is there a way to remove one of the voices,preferably the FSX one?

Hi, Can someone help me where to find information for short field operation regarding takeoff safety runway field lenght (distance) in the FCOM ? I am seeking the tabel with ,weight, Flaps15 or 25 and full thrust takeoff with wind and altitude,slope etc. (for SBRJ and Innsbruck for instance.) I can only find Flaps 5 (normal) in the FCOM (V1-VR-V2) Thanks Michael

Hi After landing when I've shut the engines down, I switch views and then return to the cockpit and the engines are still sounding as if they are on but they are off. Is there a fix for this? Thanks Ryan

If I was southeast of ABC VOR when ATC directed me to fly a heading of 60 degs to intercept and fly outbound on the ABC 90 deg radial, I think I understand how to do that "manually". I would turn to a heading of 60 degs, set Nav1 to the ABC freq, set the MCP course window to 90 degs, use either the VOR or MAP display on the ND to identify the radial intercept, and then turn outbound on the 90 deg radial. Pretty much what you would do in a C172 except the MCP Course setting replaces the OBS setting in the 172. What I don’t know how to do is to use the FMC and LNAV to accomplish the same thing, especially if this direction by ATC meant I would bypass one or more waypoints…

As I understand it, the MCP LVL CHG function will attempt to have the a/c climb using the max N1 allowed by the FMC, or descend at idle N1, while maintaining the speed set in the A/T window. The V/S function will attempt to have the a/c climb or descend at the vertical speed set in the V/S window and at the speed set in the A/T window. Since these two functions seem to be very similar I'd like to better understand when they are used in normal operation. Is one typically used more than the other? If ATC calls and requests a climb or descent, which is the preferred function? If you have the V/S capability, why is LVL CHG needed? Thx, Al

Hello everyone, I've always been a pen-and-paper kind of guy and after I bought the 737 NGX a while ago (and never flown it until very recently), I felt the immediate need to buy the paper manuals. The aircraft is complex and its documentation is top notch professional material. However, I don't see them on the store page. Are they still available? OK, so I was running some tests on a scenery today with the "ShowMissingTextureAlert=1" switch activated in my FSX.cfg file, and my PMDG NGX keeps spitting up a missing texture flag. I tried opening the 737-600, 737-700, and 737-800. They all put up the same warning. I can fly the airplane around but after a little while I get a crash, especially when trying to open the map or access the menu. I've included the missing texture message screenshot, the sim is looking for a file called "$GAUGEFIFTEEN". Anybody else can duplicate this message? PMDG Missing Texture by M-Sauce, on Flickr

When I open the performance manager, I get an error stating "Unknown versions were detected or variants do not match. Do you wish to reset all variants?" I press yes, but the error repeats itself every 7 seconds. When I updated to sp1c, I was using the low resolution textures- and didn't change back to normal when I updated. Any idea how to solve?

Hello, i have a huge takeoff Problem with the 737 NGX. If i leave all values in CDU --> FSActions --> FUEL unchanged and only enter the ZFM and CG% with double LSK click on the CDU --> Performance page the plane takes off normally. However as soon as I change the Standard fuel amount of 21000 KGs to lets say 20500 the plane takes off at 110 knots before V1 is announced. This problem happens with or without correct trim setting. Hope you guys can help me ! Regards Andi

Hello, i have a huge takeoff Problem with the 737 NGX. If I leave all values in FSACTIONS --> FUEL unchanged and only enter the ZFM and CG% with double LSK click on the PERF page later the plane takes off normally. However as soon as I change the standard fuel setting to another value (lets say from pre-entered 21000 KGs to new value 20500 KGs) the plane takes off much ealier than expected. Usually around 110 knots far before V1 is announced. Flaps is 5 or 15. This Problem happens with correctly adjusted trim settings or without. I hope you guys can help me... Thx ! Regards Andi

Hi, please, excuse me for my english, i´m venezuelan customer, I have one question, in the 737 NGX package are included the 800 and 900, in the 900`s case, appears in the fsx´s airplane menu the 900 y 900ER variant, however the fuel capacity of the 900 ER its the same of the 900, in theory, 900 ER variant can carry more fuel cuantity, this model have one autonomy of 5000 mn or more but i can not use that for one 3600 mn flight, some idea? thank you so much for you help...

I am a new PMDG 737 owner and am slowly finding my way around the aircraft. My problem right now is that the screen will freeze midway through inputting the flight plan into the CDU and I can't find a way to get past that without exiting FSX. I can still input to the CDU etc., but can't move around the cockpit (+ key with spacebar). Doesn't seem to matter if it is in full screen or windowed. This is what I have done - reloaded FSX with all addons removed. I have added UIAutomationCore.dll to the FSX folder, and added Highmefix=1 to the CFG file. Reloaded the PMDG 737. I am getting 30 FSP on the ground at YVR. I have used Nvidia inspector to tweak the grahics …

Hello. I love this plane but I'm not able to fly it and use its features without it crashing my FSX and giving me a fatal error.I notice it really only happens when I use the FMC or switch between views alot. I think I have a pretty good computer. Z87 pro mobo, evo pro ssd 250, gig 16 gigs mem,GTX 770 4gig card.just don't know what could be wrong. I created my own FSX file and got rid of Microsoft games file. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi There, I few months ago I bought PMDG 737NGX for FSX, To start off with it was all working fine. But now for some unknown reason every time I fly it none of the Letters/numbers on the instruments show up? eg: seep, Height and engine performance. Dose anyone know a way to fix this problem? I've found a few posts on this - some are very detailed, but I can't find my solution. Here's the issue: I set the TOC altitude for the flight as well as the landing altitude. I have the recerc fans 'on'. After engine start I have the left and right packs to 'Auto'. Isolation Valve to 'Auto'. APU Bleed to 'Off'. The two switches (which I don't know what they are called) to the left and right of the APU Bleed to 'on'. I have the Altn to 'Auto'. I do not have any failures set in the CPU. During flight the Cabin Pressure systems fails, but I cannot figure out why....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Before start procedure set courses set nav for dept all that goood stuff but think i'm bogging myself down with setting fixes and radials on SIDs in the fmc and tuning the course for it just like tutorial to that raw data check! Is all this necessary well what i mean is what do you set in the nav 1 and nav 2 radios? The active runways ILS just incase you need to return? What i'm asking is what is the way or your way do you set courses and nav radios and also the minimum selector will i set this to the radio altituted / MDA of the ILS ?
