As discussed Here, there is an easy way to have a precise match between a PFPX OFP and the actual wight of the aircraft. This is helpful in planning, but is this the most realistic way to plan flights? In real life, a pilot would get a final closeout with weight and performance data via a fight attendant or ACARS right before push back or during taxi. This would be an amendment of the weights that are provided in the OFP. Many factors such as more or less passengers, cargo, and fuel can change from the time that the flight plan was printed to the time of push back. Hi, This is my first post, so i apologise in advance for any mistakes. I have been flying the PMDG 737NGX very confident in actually flying the plane, manually and automated, however I'm getting a little bit bored of the same robotic voices from the default FSX ATC. Currently I am manually plotting my flight plan in the default FSX flight planner for the required VORS, intersections and airways, i dont mind doing this, however I would like to know how to get the ATC to allow me to decide my point of decent and how to use the atc in conjunction with my SIDS and STARS. hello every one this is my first post , so i got the 737 NGX and like every noob i watched videos how to set up the FMC i got everything right ( got my bold pink route ) , i set up the auto pilot LIKE THIS speed : v2+20 ALT :10000 heading : runway heading and here where i get stuck what should i do after ? -how i can make the plane fellow the route after the take off automatically ? -and how i make the plane auto land ? i know these might be stupid question but i learn fast.

Hi all ^_^ Does anyone know how I can get rid of the "head" is turning in the flightdeck? I use Logitech Extreme 3D PRO joystick and when i turn the handle the view is moving around. Quite annoying when your taxiing on the taxi runways ... so any ideas to get ret off this annoying moving around view? Cheers! Dennis

Hi Everyone. Once upon a time my HUD showed the horizon line on the horizon as I looked through it, now it is several degrees above the horizon and not sure what I have done to change it or how to get it back reading correctly. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks Tim

Gentlemen: I downloaded several livery files for the PMDG 737NGX which were zip files. When I opened the zip files what I got was a PTP file. I am at a loss of what to do. In the past I would open the zip file and get an installation .exe file. Any ideas of what is happening? Thanks. Stanner

Hi there, So i was looking at Airliners.net today and stumbled accross a few photos of the Virgin Australia flight deck, and noticed that the Checklist on the yoke is alot different. I had a look online and saw other people had managed to desgin there own, Could some one please give me a heads up on how to design it ? Jack

Ran into a bit of an interesting issue the other day. DVA has an ACARS utility that records flight data during the flight. For quite a few flights, ACARS was reporting that I was taking off using Flaps 40 when I actually was using Flaps 1. I did some ground tests and it seems the data for certain flaps positions gets goofed up by the time FSUIPC gets a chance to read the offsets. FSUIPC is getting data from the NGX stating that some flaps positions (usually Flaps 10 and Flaps 30) are Flaps 40. The problem isn't apparent on the CS 757-200 I tested, so it appears to be a PMDG issue. Here's a copy/paste of the thread I had going with Pete Dowson on his support site.

I saved a flight plan using the CDU save option.It works since I can load the plan back. As I want to save the flight plan on a external drive I have to know into which folder the plane was saved. For whatever reason I cannot find the folder on my computer. ( My O/S : Windows 7 Pro ) Can anyone help ? HubertWerni

Hi folks. I have been a user of the NGX since day 1 (sounding like an AA meeting introduction...) but have found my enthusiasm for FSX dwindling lately and my time available for it more and more limited (it sucks getting older!). I have the 777 but rarely the time to do a long haul sim flight. I also have the MJC Q400 and love it, but that's OT for this thread. I want to inject some new reality in to my FSX experience and specifically my use of the NGX. Im happy with the scenery side of things and have Opus for weather and view control. PFPX does for my planning. Anyone got any recommendations on other utilities that would help the realism and immersion factor…

Hi all! I've been searching through the forums and on the PMDG webpage, and I can't find any information on their refund policies. Could anyone enlighten me on the same? I'm looking to buy the 737 for FSX, but if the P3Dv2 version releases within 30 days (or we receive any news) I'd like to have the option to refund my product and purchase the P3Dv2 licence. This brings me quite neatly to my second point, I understand PMDG are under no obligation to do so, but does anyone know if they will provide a discount for "license-switchers"? I read RSR say that they are looking into a limited offer at release, but haven't heard anything since. Regards, Aamir.

It seems after completing a flight I can't get the spoiler handle back to the up position, instead staying at the 50% position. It's been happening regularly. What should I do? None of the Saitek controls are assigned to the speed brake.

Hi, I was wondering if PMDG will support the 737-800/900 NGX within P3D v2+? I upgraded from FSX but struggling to find any realistic pay-ware Boeing aircraft to install that are feature-complete. What is the significance of the QRH ON/OFF option at LSK 6R on the FMC Takeoff Ref page? I also notice when QRH is ON, there sometimes is a slight difference (1 or 2 knots) between one or more of the listed V speeds (eg, v1=119 vs V1=120) -- I ignore the slight difference. If I shouldn't ignore it, what should I do about it? Thanks, Al

Hey guys. I have been using PMDG 737NGX and 777 fine with no problem at all. Recently I have installed Ezdok 1.17 and made cameras set for 777 and did 2 flights with it. All was well. However I wanted to do a NGX flight and I selected that aircraft in menu fine. When I click fly now it loads to about 4-5 percent and then FSX just CTD. I looked into the error file and the fault module was PMDG737NGX.DLL I was wondering if anyone could help please? It must be down to Ezdok ad it was all fine before but then again I can still make flights with 777 but NGX just stopped working since installation of Ezdok. I tried uninstalling PMDG 737NGX already and reinstalled it again but s…

Im posting this here because I cant seem to figure out the source of the issue. This started happening to me out of the blue, I didn't change anything with the sim or in general with my PC. Below is a video I made of the problem.. there are two points in it to highlight. The first is at 1:30 during startup.. things get goofy. The other is toward the end, just after takeoff when the FADEC switches to CLB thrust.. this is the meat and potatoes.. very weird. Hi, Maybe someone can give me a hand with this problem. I get the error message shown below. ERROR: flxActCommonRepairLocalTrustedStorage- (50044,71013,1) Then I get: You do not have a valid license installed for this product. Everything was working fine since the day of release, nothing has been added and/or removed from the system. I tried putting the key in again when it asks, but I get the same message shown above "You do not have a valid license installed for this product.". After that, FSX closes.

I was wondering what might cause pressing ALT INTV to kick me out of VNAV mode? I'm in the final stages of my descent, starting my initial downwind leg and I have a way point altitude constraint coming up I want to remove from the Legs page. On the MCP I set my lower altitude and then I press ALT INTV and it does remove the constraint but it also immediately kicks me out of VNAV. My setup: I'm on my down wind leg, on my way to CHIPZ way point (8 miles to go) at 8000 feet. Well, the problem is in the title. All callouts are ON in the PMDG setup but I hear none, what so ever. Also no click sounds of the panel. The device is "REALTEK HD AUDIO Manager". I can hear the engine sounds, allright (Magnificent...) in either the speakers or headphones (using headphones for TrackIR...). Any help, hint, will be appreciated. Thanks Benny K

Hi all Very frustrated --- just bought a brand new pc designed for fsx... Have installed pmdg 737NGX and love it - however, it freezes and crashes after about 20 minutes. I get the dreaded circle, freeze then crash. This has happened when inputting data in FMC on the ground and also while flying in the air. Desperate for this to be fixed. I'm new to this addon so I don't know if there are any obvious things I should be doing or should know about. I would really appreciate any ideas on what to do next :( Cheers.

Ok i set the N1 knobs near the upper DU's set them at lets say 84.4 thats what topcat spewed out for me i was doing a circuit, i set them manually pressed toga and the N1 exceeded my limits upto 101? Have i missed something?
