PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. I recently simulated an engine fire (eng #2) during climb. The fire came up at FL300 and was successfully extinguished. I followed the PMDG QRH procedures. Once the engine 2 was stopped, I checked my hydraulics and both systems were fine. As I approached the airport for landing, the Hydraulic System B failed (no more pressure / "overhead" indicated for system B. I was able to land using the alternate flaps. My question; was the Hydraulic failure Syst B a result of the Eng 2 fire or was it a result of my (mis)management of the engine fire ? I have completed this "simulation" a few times in the past and I am pretty sure I had the hydraulic problem each time…

Hi all, Is anyone of you have the following problem: When I engage the AP (By pressing CMD A, LNAV and VNAV) and AT (AT toggle to ON), normally the green light on the button should be light up as well as the little light on the top of the AT toggle. However, I found that none of my button lights are on even I was putting my AP and AT on (which can be verified by the ND top bar). Can you please educate me how to solve this? Thanks a lot. OHK142

Hi all, I'm an airbus Enthusiastic, but for now there is no complex Airbus Add on, so while i am waiting for FSLAB A320 or QPAC Plus/Prenium verison on xplane (or maybe a future a320 by PMDG but I guess I'm dreaming ) I started reflying the PMDG NGX. As I'm used to the C* law, and haven't had the chance to fly a GA aircraft yet, I really have a hard time trimming the NGX. i usually keep pressure on the yoke until i get the flight path i want, then i adjust speed with thrust and then trim, so that i can release the yoke and only make small ajustement. But when I release the yoke, the plane will just keeps pitching up or down, and i need to make lots of trim ajustm…

  9. When I am reaching the top of descent point during crs altitude, I choose my approach for the destination. Then I click execute once I choose an approach, but the approach plan doesnt connect to the flight plan? It is just a blank space in between both plans. Wierd eh? Don't I need a transition point in between so it can all connect? When i go to the legs page, in between my normal flight plan and the approach plan, there is a line that says "flight plan discontinued". What do i type in so it can connect together? Can someone please explain this to me. Can someone tell me where I can find the ILS frequency's for runways I want to land? Is there a page on the internet or s…

  15. Hello, I've entered a flight plan (before performance data) and saved it as a company route. Now I'd like to clear FMC from the current flight plan and enter my saved company route instead. I'm trying to delete the destination (to clear the current flight plan) but FMC says it's an INVALID DELETE. What is the right way to do that? Thanks, Igor Petrov.

    Hi, I am pretty sure this has been asked quite a lot but every case is not exactly the same. I wonder what is the fps for people with similar specs and settings to mine. I have an i5 4670k with no oc enabled, gtx 770, and 8gb ram. As for addons I am running rex, ezdok, and ultimate terrain x. I am using the razer game booster, and I got some basic cfg tweaks like bufferpools and highmemfix.   18. I have been flying in fsx for almost 6 years now. I recently(3 months ago) stepped my fsx to a whole new level by buying the pmdg 737 ngx. I have been having a few problems concerning FSX default ATC and the PMDG 737 NGX. First of all, when I begin my descent for my destination, I look at the radar panel right next to altimeter panel thing and fuel panel, it doesn't have the line that directs me to the airport; from the last waypoint to the airport there is no line in the radar/flightplan that tells me where to go so please explain this to me. Second of all, what am I supposed to do with the atc? When do I contact atc for clearance to land? Are those atc frequency…

  20. Hi all, in the CDU I've set that random failures for all systems may occur. However I set it to zero (0) events per 10 hours. Question, is it possible that I will, at some point, experience some kind of failure? I didn't want to set it to 1/10h, because in real world, failures likely won't occur as often and it would take away the moment of surprise when something goes awry every 2-3 flights, depending on the flight time.     Ok i'm using navigraph charts and also nats-uk charts i see a difference in CAT II DA if you guys can have a look at RWY 33 ILS approach. On navigraph says CAT II RA 98 Nats uk says under category C (737) is 420 (92) Why the difference between the 2? Thanks vernon!

    Dear friends, I'd like to know if we necessarily need to capture LOC before Glide in APP mode in B737 ? This is the default setting in PMDG. I think Glide antenna spread its signal in a large area so even without LOC captured it would make sense to capture Glide because in my understanding capturing Glide below path is safer. Am I right ?     Before i start i'm going to mention i recently got PFE and haven't looked back, great little ATC addon but only took a few days to learn it plus setup lol with its voice expansion upgrade makes it even more cooler and you are guaranteed to get coverage anywhere unlike vatsim, plus you can hear the controllers clearer. So here goes i'm on my star not far out doing 273 kias, i'm coming up for my SLP of 250 max but i get a heading turn right 205 ok i turn heading 205 but my confusing is what point do i now use to slow down for my 250 SLP as i'm not longer in VNAV mode or do i have to judge this one guys?
