PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I´ve recently purchased the PMDG 737NGX as well as the -600 and -700 series. They´re are now installed - and re-installed after experiencing the following problem - under Windows 8 and I am running FSX as administrator. And I´ve read both the introduction and use as well as tutorial 1 manuals. But apparently I can´t be registered as user - I´m continuosly asked to write the activation code. I´ve followed the advices in the introduction about the FSX.cfg, optimized the .cfg file via the tool from venetubo.com and set the settings in FSX as recommended. Only thing I´m a bit uncertain about is the whether or not II´v excluded my FSX.cfg file in my A/V software (McAfee). Is …

I can't set the parking brake - ctrl . moves the parking brake lever to the on position but it releases almost immediately. The same thing happens if I attempt to set the parking brakes by moving the lever in the VC. My pedals have been calibrated in the CH control manager (not in FSUIPC) there are no conflicts in FS settings controls and chocks have been removed. Parking brake works normally with other aircraft. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks Bruce

Just made a flight plan from ksan to klas. Went off the Flightaware route. Selected departing from runway 27 and the pebble4 departure. The sid draw up on the screen with a 360 circle in the flight path. It was labeled INTC. I am not sure why this happened? I ended up replacing the two INTC's with waypoint Meldy. I also selected the SXC transition just like on Flightaware. Hello everyone, I recently bought the 737 and did Tutorial1 and some practice flights beside it and everything works like a charm except for one problem I can't get my head around or find an answer in either the manuals or the Internet. Here is the situation: I'm flying into OMDB and I've reached T/D so I dial in my glideslope capture altitude as I don't fly with ATC. There is an altitude restriction of 13000B ahead and the 737 sinks just and the right rate to hit that Waypoint at excact 13000. After that however, it continues to sink way too steep and I reach the capture altitude way ahead of the planned waypoint. In the CDU Legs page it shows the correct altitu…

It is not clear to me how to make use of VOR2. In the 737NGX FCOMv2 it says: While engaged in VOR or LOC modes: •A autopilot and Captain’s F/D use information from Captain’s course selector and No. 1 VHF NAV receiver • B autopilot and First Officer’s F/D use information from First Officer’s course selector and No. 2 VHF NAV receiver •different courses and/or frequencies for two VHF NAV receivers can cause disagreement between the Captain’s and First Officer’s F/D displays and affect A/P operation. So does the highlighted line mean Nav1 and Nav2 should always be set to the same VOR freq when using the AP to track a VOR radial (and even if not using the B AP) ? …

I just downloaded and installed the pmdg 737 a few weeks ago. Did that already come with sp1? Or do I have to update it? Also do I have to uninstall it first? Then do a fresh install and update right to sp1 before anything?

I recently been playing around with the pmdg 737. I have done the tutorial flights a few times now. But now when I am going to flight aware and getting some real life flight plans. I get everything all setup. Arm lnav and vnav at the gate. Arm auto throttle. Got a solid magenta line. So when I get to the runway I move the thrust to 40 percent and click the toga. The lnav and vnav lights go out. But are still outlined in white on my display. I then fly for about 30 seconds and I click lnav and vnav. They both light up. Then I click auto pilot A. Just wondering what I am doing wrong for the L and vnav lights to go out when in toga? I am also using wind from …

I went to simroutes. I searched for a route from klax to kbos. Picked a high alt route. It drew a stright pink line. Then I went to my dep/arv page and selected the 24L runway I was on. And selected the subby departure. It then drew out the SID. That line connected with the first stright line. Does that sound right? Is the SID line supposed to meet the co route line? Also I could only e…

Hi guys this has only happened twice in 3 months when loading up the 737 ngx my toe brakes don't work the yoke and rudder does except the brakes. i check the saitek profile and its showing its working there ok. i have to reload the 737 then it works. thanks

When double checking the programming of the FMC for the SIDS and STARS I can see where the program almost always enters hard altitude and speed requirements, however, it is difficult to tell whether or not the segment MEAs are being considered. For the most part it appears that the predicted altitudes do not violate the MEAs but I am unsure as to whether the FMC actually considered the MEAs since the numbers are shown as predicted rather than required values. In only a few cases have I substituted a required altitude to cover the MEA shown on the charts but don't know if this was a mistake in the programming of the STAR or SID or where the FMC just doesn't consider MEAs. …

Hi to all!, How can i save the diverse modifications i made in the equipment - display settings? I can't find the corresponding save option, that is mentioned in the intro manual (p. 49). All the modifications are lost , after i exit the flight and restart a new one with the same aircraft. So far i have changed and saved manually the corresponding ini file (in the pmdg737/aircraft folder). - that works. Thanks Gerasimos Stamatatos

The GPU in my NGX does not make any sound. The air cart and ground start cart do. Any ideas anybody? Greg

Hi all I was wondering if PMDG has tweaked the ground effect of FSX, because it seems to be very realistic, during the flare, you just need to pitch up + 2° and maintained it and you'l get a nice kiss landing

I'm trying to modify a STAR for NZQN. The problem is whenever i enter the LAT/LON of a fix into the PMDG Nav files, it works in the game, but the fix isn't in the correct location. Now if i entered this fix from the PMDG FMC then it would be in the correct location. It uses the same coordinates. What am i missing here?

Does anyone have the current data/ coordinates to manually add the Kai Tak SID/STARS, airport position, and runway coordinates? Apparently the data format has changed. When I manually added the previous data, the airport would come up, but the FMS indicated a rwy13 error, and no SID/STARS were available.

Hi guys, Maybe someone knows this problem: First of all, I own the 737-800/900 NGX with the latest service pack running, and I'm mostly using the 737-800WL version. My problem is as follows: 1) After pushback and startup the throttles themselves don't respond whatsoever and I receive this error advisory which cant be located. This problem is solved only after entering slew mode, raising up and aircraft a few feet, releasing it from slew for a fraction of a second and return back to place. 2) The next problem is occuring upon takeoff: Everything works fine till the rotation moment. from there and on the aicrcraft stuggles to gain speed and works on a VERY low angl…

I think this may have been asked on a few occassions but I am still having Issues re the auto pilot not been able to activate I have configured the aircraft as per the tutorial on several occassions and still it doesnt want to activate, then all of a sudden it does, but not always. I have completely Un installed and re installed .. and still no joy. also VNav etc does not arm either. I love this aircraft as I do the 777 and I have no issues with the 777 ...so can any one advise what the issue could be...and how I could resolve this. I have gone through the FMC set menue no failures set.... maybe I am missing something. Thanks

Hiya folks After inputting everything into the FMC, taxiing and then taking off, I cannot seem to get the VNAV button to engage. All the altitudes and speeds are present on the LEGS page of the FMC so I don't understand it :huh:

I wanna do a quick route. So I pulled up route finder. Put in kdtw to kbna. Selected between FL250 and FL300. This route came up: KDTW SID ROD J39 IIU STAR KBNA. So in my fmc I should make my airport kdtw. Then select the rosewood three departure: http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1407/00119ROSEWOOD.PDF Then goto page two of my route page and type in: via ROD to IIU Then select the guitr four arrival: http://155.178.201.160/d-tpp/1407/00282GUITR.PDF And select the runway that works with the star.
