PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I only use PMG-737 and was surprised to hear the following comment from a Topcat member: NOTE: PMDG do NOT recommend the use of Topcat for loading purposes on the NGX and 777, they use there own system. Do you agree with this claim and if so,why do I ned Topcat ? I use PFPX to create my flightplans.. I am anxious to hear your comments. Hubert Werni

Is it possible to determine which gates at which airports are in the database? I sure spend a lot of time trying to init pos places that aren't in the database on the FMC.

We all have used or using the default f1 reverser button you press down on it once and the 737 ngx reversers go all the way back to the full position without the need to press it 16x. Thats my issue i am having if i set the reversers other than the default f1, if i set it to something else i need to press that assigned button atleast 16x to have the reversers full. Anyone i agree and is there a way round it?

Hi All, Spent now 2 hours searching, but can't find the answer, so here I am asking the question myself :rolleyes: In aircraft.cfg CameraDefinition are present for a lot of views, but not Captains seat view and FMC view to name two important ones. What are the steps that I need to do to add these views myself...or does anyone out there have these added views to share for the broad community...and me? ^_^ All the best Daniel

Hello all, just got PMDG 737, tested a flight out (sort of still getting used to it from Airbus X) And I've noticed that when I start up the battery and start my checklist (by myself I need fs2crew lol), 4 PFD's pop up, excluding one, the one screen not showing up is the one in between the FMCs. Which is really weird, so I'm guessing it's either an install problem or something with the jet, (however I doubt it because I used these combos yesterday Ctrl+E and it showed up fine and working afterward..... So I'm guessing I'm either doing something very wrong, or the system is just not making it show up for some odd reason. And sorry if this was already posted before, I coul…

goodevening, I have encountered a really big problem today i was flying normally and everything was fine finished my flight and decided to instal a scenery went back to my simulator and started a flight but al of the sudden my throthle doesnt go back to idle it keeps at 40-45 % i really don't know what to do already deinstalled the scenery reset the joystick and calibrated it (in the calibration menu it works fine) in fsx with no succes then decided to download the latest drivers from saitek didn't work to. I think it has something to do with the null zone but it is already at its lowest ''1'' for the throthle. does any one have clue what could be going on with my …

Hello, I'm experiencing an issue with my PMDG 737-800 NGX SP1c. While taking off at night, with landing lights on and cabin lights off, as soon as I start lifting and the rear wheels leave ground, my landing lights turn off and my cabin lights turn on, spoiling all my night takeoffs. Not 100% sure, but I think this happens also during day, but I notice later on, when reaching 10.000 feet just to find my landing lights are already off. Any idea what can I be doing wrong? Hi, I recently purchased a B737NGX and winglets but when I try to use it nothing show. I tried starting it up from cold and dark but that doesn't work. The screens are just dark and the EICAS screen looks broken. I tried different liveries but that doesn't work either. I tried the engine and it works perfectly but I cant see my speed, altitude or anything from the PFD. What should I do

Have had an odd problem for the last two flights. After the center tank empties, the left and right wing tanks are not feeding fuel, thus the engines starve out. I have probably 25 flights in the NGX prior to this with no fuel flow issues. I have all fuel pumps on, so that is not the problem. I don't have any of the random maintenance and failure issues activated. The first flight I could not get a restart. Last night, I reloaded the center tank via the FMC (not very realistic) and executed a crossbleed restart - at 13,000 feet - and finished the flight. I have obviously done something, but I can't figure it out. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Is it possible to transfer data ( such as payload,amount of fuel ) automatically from Topcat to the CDU of the PMDG-737 ? A simple yes/no would be appreciated. Hubert Werni

Hi All First topic post so please be gentle... ;-) Been using FSX with PMDG 737 fine along with VRSim MCP combo. Happy so far... I bpught a CDU2 to use with it so installed the add on panel installer etc. Running in window mode I can load up the VC, undock the FMC panel which is listed as CDU2 on the instrument menu pull down and then run VRSim program. CDU 2 displays the FMC fine and I can see its working....however once I go back to the FSX window all is not well The animations in the VC no longer work after this eg the FD switch light goes green for on when clicked on but the switch never moves or animates also the sound disappears as well when I leave …

I really hope somebody can help me with this: When I´m beginning the take-off roll by setting the N1 power through TO/GA-mode (Shift+Ctrl+G) an alarm sets off. It continues all the way down the runway but as soon as I get airborne it stops and I can continue the flight as planned via the FMC. Probably some obvious reason for this but any help will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot...

Dear Captains, I encountered a problem that I'd like to discuss with you. I recently am into flying the NGX again and I like to do flights for the airline transavia.com (TRA). Using PFPX I planned a flight from the relatively new but very small airport LTFG (Gazipasa) to EHAM. Since it is summer season I reckon that in real life flights would be fully loaded. My flight was specified as follows: Equipment: 738 TOW: 72,5k Fuel: 13,5k temp: 33 C wind: 220/04 QNH: 1016 rwy: 26 The TOPCAT tool calculated that the requested take off performance was well above the performance limit of the aircraft in these circumstances. My NGX has no buttons, textures, or displays. The only thing that works right now is the sound. I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times today. I havent even seen any where to put an activation code that everyone is talking about. After I ran the installer it says its successfully installed. I have no clue what to do. Anyone experiencing this: All you need to do is to do a backup of this file before installing the shader mod C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ShadersHLSL\General\General.fx then once the shader mod is installed, replace the modified General.fx with the back up. Looks like something in the shader 3.0 implementation of fog triggers the weird texture ghosting effect. Haven't tried tweaking the code itself but as far as I can tell, fog looks just fine and performance is still great with my 7950 AMD card.

Today marks the third anniversary of the NGX release. Time does fly! It'll definitely be a favourite amongst flight simmers for years to come.

I'm flying out of EGBB on rwy 15 and using the TNT5E SID On my FMC i receive this message on the climb page - 210/FLAPS speed rest, I'm used to seeing 250/10000 Now in this situation with your experience how will i deal with this after takeoff will i need to stay in flaps 1 untill i pass this rest? Also i got a message saying unable to do 210 kts so i changed it to a soft rest 210B Was this correct?

I will start FSX, everything will load like normal, except after the countdown the aircraft acts like I am at half throttle, yet my throttle is not moved forward at all, I did read you shouldn't switch between custom aircraft and a PMDG aircraft but I only did that once that shouldn't affect every time I try to fly it since? I had a full pmdg 737. Wet conditions. Flaps 40. Autobreak 3. Over shot my spot just by a bit and overran the runway. That's a tough landing for sure. But fun!

On the fmc when I load the long panel state where on the 737 check list do I start? Do I start with aligning the irs?

Reading the FCTM about wind additives, as all my approaches are with the autothrottle disengaged. If the weather good I'm reading the example table, but what i'm not understanding or infact is how to do the mathematics for winds other than 360 (rwy heading 360) In the table it shows 060 at 24 so the wind additive is 6? Vref + 6 I'm not sure how they worked that one out? Can anyone help me with this one please?

For some time now the taxi and landing lights on ALL my PMDG products do not illuminate the ground. They work, i can see them lighting the aircraft but not the ground. When ALL the lights are on i can see some of the light on the ground but in bad resolution/low quality only in the area that is illuminated. This is only happening on the PMDG products. Every other aircraft works fine and in high quality detail. I have tried re-installing the aircraft with no luck. Please help and advice how i can get this fixed.
