I hope this is easy to explain but on my last 2 NGX flights, one an -800WL and one a -700, I get the takeoff config "beep beep beep beep......" sound at random whilst mid-flight. After reloading from a saved point, it is quiet but returns a short time later. There are no visual lights, cautions or warnings, and even cycling the gear and flaps will not clear it.

Hi, When I flip the hud down I can see the glass, but the green display from the projector doesn't show up. I tried re installing and no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks

Ok i'm using navigraph charts and also nats-uk charts i see a difference in CAT II DA if you guys can have a look at RWY 33 ILS approach. On navigraph says CAT II RA 98 Nats uk says under category C (737) is 420 (92) Why the difference between the 2? Thanks vernon!

Hi all, I recently purchased the pmdg 737 base pack and I have not yet completed the tutorials but I did try and load it into a C & D panel state. There was no option for me too. I looked on YouTube tutorial to see if I was in the correct section of the fmc and seems I was but there was no selection for it there. Do you actually have to do a full shutdown sequence and then save the panel state or is this just a glitch? Thanks in advance! Oh also, This is a completely legal and registered product I paid for!

I have the Navigraph RNAV (RNP) rwy 02 chart for MHTG and I am having difficulty with this approach. The plane ends up well right of the runway, I have manually intervened with success (rough though). The aircraft bank angle is set at 30 deg. and the plane is configured for landing. The chart indicates mins for cat C&D aircraft, NA for cat A&B. I am unsure if this one(737-800wl) is cat B or cat C, maybe thats the problem. Thanks, Kevin

Hello everyone, I'd like to use TOPCAT for my calculations but MTOW, MZFW values are not matching with FCOM. May someone help me on this? I am using "Boeing 737-8K2NGX Transavia Airlines Winglets", this livery is from http://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/downloads/liveries.html 1- Does MTOW changes on different liveries? 2- FCOM is not matching with aircraft.cfg file, is that normal? I have tested different configs from various forums and blogs but none of them is matching with my FMC.

My question is, during a VNAV descent (or climb) when should you change the altitude window setting for the next waypoint so that you don't enter ALT HOLD or require the use of ALT INTV? For example, suppose I am descending toward waypoint X where the altitude requirement is 9000ft, and so 9000 is set in the Altitude Window. If the altitude requirement for the next waypoint is 5000ft, should I reset the Altitude Window to 5000 just before arriving at waypoint X, or just after, to avoid entering an ALT HOLD condition or the need to push ALT INTV? Hi! I have a problem when start descend with my 737... i'm at cruise level 210 and the ATC tell me "...start descend to FL 150 and reduce speed 250"; i select 250 speed and 15000 then press LVL/CGH mode with speedbrakes deployed, but the descend start slowly with 100, 200 max feet/min; whern i approach to 250 knots, the ATC tell me "..please, expedite your descend !!!"; then i set 2500feet/minutes descend, but even with full drag, my speed up to 300kts (sic!). Please, help me, before the air brakes catch fire :-)) Thanks Patrizio PS: i tried VNAV DES NOW without success...

After all these years, I'm a bit embarrased to ask this, but here goes. Vref on the FMC is showing 138kts on my current approach. For the first time, I realized there's a line below that says "wind correction +5kts". Typically, I use Vref +5kts for my approach - so tonight I would use 143kts. But now I'm wondering of the FMC added the 5kts for me and real Vref is 133kts - and the 138 is Vref +5. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks, Bob

Well currently i'm focusing on learning how to land by reading FCTM etc instead of jumping about the place. So all my focus is on this. I'm learning everything about autoland + manual with fail passive a/c before i move onto fail operational. I'm doing a cat II approach and will be disconnecting the A/P at MUH 168 feet and landing manually but what will i do with NAV Radio 2 what will i tune this to as it won't be the ILS Freq? Is there a need to tune in VOR freq or even ADF's ?

Hi there, I'm experiencing a very strange bug after installing some Ryanair liveries from the AVSIM library. My ground power unit is connected to the plane, but all the options in Ground Connections are off. Likewise, if I fiddle with plane options inside the FMC setup screen, for example if I enable the SATCOM antenna, nothing happens. Another option toggles it. And the eyebrow windows option toggles the ground power unit. Any ideas? I'm confused. Loading different panel states do not seem to solve the issue either, and nor does a restart or a reboot. It happens on all liveries of the PMDG product now. I am using SP1c.

I am unable to get the Livery Manager to recognize the FSX root folder. I run two hard drives on my computer. I have a small SSD which has windows and not much else as my C drive. The majority of my files, including FSX, are run off of my much larger HDD on the E Drive. I'm guessing my problem must has something to do with dual hard drives but I'm sure I can't be the only PMDG user to have this kind of setup. This is Part 5 of my Boot Camp Series on "How To Fly The Perfect ILS". This video demonstrates an ILS approach with ATC providing radar vectors into Seattle Airport, landing on runway 16L. This approach also demonstrates flying via the MCP-only for the approach (decoupled from LNAV and VNAV). This was a requested video by two of our flight simmers. Was in a successful cruise with lnav and vnav engaged in autopilot when I accidentally bumped the control yoke thereby disengaging the pilot side autopilot. Within seconds I tried to re-engage the autopilot but was unable to. I was forced to engage the Flight officer autopilot to resume cruise, however, this led to further problems during approach (unable to engage VOR LOC). Could not find a way to simply re-engage the autopilot when this happens or the conditions that led to this in the documentation.

This morning I purchased the just released Ground Services X (GSX) from FSDreamTeam. I think it is better than the current version of AES. I was pleased to see it works very well with my PMDG 737NGX with no tweaking. I had to refresh my engine starting skills since you have to shut down on arrival and start up the engine during pushback. I love the fact that is works at most airports.Ed

Hello, I have seen lately that the Top of Decent point in the PMDG 737 is a bit late. Causing me to get "Destination path unachievable" a lot from the FMC.and going over 250kts. under 10,000ft. I usually use a cost index of 25-35. And reserve of 5.0. And my normal cruiz alt. is above FL300. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
