  1. I am releasing another two part video tutorial on the Reverse Thrust system. However, this one is a little bit different. I'm going back to basics and this tutorial assumes no prior jet or 737NGX knowledge. So it's target audience are those completely new or fairly new to the PMDG 737NGX. Those of you who have been flying the PMDG 737NGX for a while or for years, will most likely find this tutorial too basic and too boring for you. So, you may want to just skip it.     Hi After a fresh installation of PMDG 737 I'm experiencing a strange problem. When approaching mins. I turn off A/T and A/P...about 50 FT above the runway I turn back the throttles and initiate a nice flare. What happens just before touchdown is really strange....the engines spool up and it initiate a kind of go around. I don't understand why it does so. I have never experienced this before. Any idea how to fix this. I mean it should never initiate this strange behavior. The A/T and A/P are both turned off I never use the TOGA button. Still it seem like it wants me to go around just before touchdown. Sincerely Geir

    Well i have a few questions that need answered please! 1. i'm doing a long flight 4 hours lets say i have a 2 step climbs, 350, 390 something like that i'm using fs2crew also. when entering my cruize alt into the FMC will enter the final cruize alt or the first alt? 2. i've been reading the fcom manual 1 and 2 about the pre conditioned air. you have to entry points one at the maifold AIR CON and the other one called the external air con is the external air con basically the external air start in the ngx FMC? and why is the need for two?   6. Hey Team, You can guess my question from the topic title. Last night I had my first 250hr service in the NGX. I took the step of making a copy of the .ini for the airframe before and after the service and one that had not been flown. Most if not all of the failure items were different for all three. Now I know that the service based failures are based of Boeing's MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) data, so I was just wondering if anyone knows: 1. What when the numbers are changed (in the .ini file) after pressing service is exactly done / covered in the 250hr service, is it a timer reset for some but not others etc? 2.   11. Evening, I have just purchased the 737NGX and it needs the FSX SP2 to install, the problem is that when I try to install sp2 its its been to be the English version of fsx, which it is. Ive followed the PMDG guide on uninstalling and reinstalling fsx, searched these forums to no avail. Hope you can help, Scott

  13. Since there's been some good discussions on descents lately, I thought I'd add two more RW examples that we used on this last trip. Ex. 1 SEA-DEN on the MOLTN2. We were at cruise at FL370 and Denver Center wanted us to "Descend now to FL320, pilot's discretion FL240." There are many ways to do this, but me having the attention span that I do, I like to have it ready now. Here's a clean/smooth way of doing it: Reset the MCP to FL240 Enter a new cruise alt of FL320 If you're in VNAV PATH, the plane will descend and level at FL320 and at the T/D, it will start down to FL240.     Hey there guys i have this aircraft and love it to peices. Anyway I just had to a complete re-install of fsx and the pmdg. When i switch the battery on from a cold/dark start (do it straight after the emergency light) i used to hear a continuous clicking sound, but since the re-install i don't. Anyone know what I'm Missing? Thanks in advance

However, this is a ground school type of instructional video providing a solid background on all of the aspects of making a CAT III autolanding.     I did some searching, but found nothing related to this topic. I think it would be pretty cool for PMDG to create a visual model 737-600 with winglets. It would be fictional, but I know the -600 looks pretty awesome with winglets! (The posky model does). It could be a paid visual model extension, similar to the 747-8i/F. I think that there is a pretty big -600 fan base here, bigger than in the real-world. Just a suggestion, and I would love to see it!

    Hi, I absolutely live the ngx. I am always flying it but I cannot hear the flaps being extended and retracted, I have played around with the fmc sound controls but no luck

    Hi, maybe it may sounds a rookie question ( and that's it ) but when choosing the ARR runway I am proposed several ILSs for the same runway, each one seems to have an own transition by the way. What's the difference between ILSW, ILSX and ILSZ all related to the same runway ? F.i. ILS04W and ILS04Z etc.. and the maximum seems to be 3 for each runway. Thanks in advance

    Due to the fact that my main PC has finally thrown in the towel im in the process of re-installing everything on my spare system. When trying to re-activate the PMDG base pack i get the error: "The activation of the fulfillment is denied by the activation policy because max extra activations exceeded. [incident#7601-357346]" Im sure this is only my third time activating the PMDG 737 NGX as i usually upgrade my system once a year. Strange thing is that i was able to re-activate the 600/700 pack with no problems. Would appreciate any help or advice on what the procedure or policy is for re-activation and who i should contact.
