Hi guys, Sorry if this is a daft question but here goes. I use simbrief as my default flight planner. When I am setting up the cargo number I get the following options.. 1.0 2.0 3.0 etc 10.0 20.0 30.0 40.0 etc In the FMC I can't enter those values it just says invalid entry. I usually setup my flights with 40.0 all the time (don't ask me why) but I enter this in the FMC as 2000 in the front and 2000 in the rear. Is that right? My thinking is 40.0 in simbrief is equivalent to 4000lbs? Cheers Thomas Derbyshire

Hello, everyone! This is my first thread/post to the forum. I am having difficulties with the PMDG 737NGX 800. I purchased the base package. After I click "FLY NOW!", it loads, then it starts the 20 second countdown, but during that countdown the plane automatically starts firing up the engines at full throttle! And it won't stop whatsoever, even when I manually put both throttle levers all the way down, and even when I shutdown the engines completely, it just keeps going and going at full throttle! I've tried setting it to default Cold & Dark from the FMC, restarting the sim, and the problem stil persist! Any help or suggestions are very much appreciated

I am using a new monitor for which I have finalized the various settings. The T7 and MD-11 colors I have adjusted the various settings to what I want. I can’t find any adjustments for the NGX either in the FMC or color.ini file for specific displays such as the PFD representation of the ground. Color adjustments in the ini file appear to be general in nature and not specific. Is this the way it it is or am I missing the obvious? Thank you Michael Cubine

Hy there.. so i reinstalled several times the ngx latest Base Package update installer... whenever i planned the route in the fms and executed the route on the take off ref page i press the vspeeds i get an error message on the pfd saying no take off Speed neither is the vnav button functional? i installed FSX SP1 + Acceleration with SP2 with full admin rights, i ran the installer as admin disabled the Antivirus Programm and Firewall completely.. Hi all I have been watching many videos and have noticed that when a B738 positively lifts off the runway, a clicking sound is heard. My question is what is making this sound and why is it not simulated in the NGX? The B77L that PMDG have developed does have this feature. Ryan

I am experiencing a slight issue with PMDG 737 NGX aircraft with FSX. Originally when both radios were set to the ILS frequency, both Flight directors were armed and both captain's and FO's course settings on the MCP were set correctly. once both Auto pilot's were engaged the PFD would anunciate Land 3 and rollout and flare would be armed and activate prior to a full auto-landing. Now the PFD is only showing CMD and only flare is armed and activated prior to landing (not rollout). Can anyone explain why rollout is not showing and why Land 3 is no longer displayed ? Dear PMDG support, i own the NGX for P3D and i don't have the click sports described in the documentation: click spots #1,2,3,4,5,6 on the image below does not exist or work. by the way i also own the 777 and all click spots described in the documentation work perfectly fine. I think there is a pressurization problem. I'm maintaining FL100. I think the FO on FS2Crew screwed something up. The packs are auto, And mode is auto, any ideas. Also the horn is very annoying. The Duct pressure is 0? Julian Can you leave a door open? I'm not getting any warning lights?

Tonight on a flight from MHTG to MUCC, I was nearing my top of descent when the autopilot went completely haywire, I was away from the computer when it occured. Basically the auto pilot put the plane into a sharp 60 degree bank, going around in circles which resulted in a stall. So I disengaged the auto pilot and manually brought the plane back up to FL300. When I was back to altitude the A/P wouldn't work, it wouldn't turn on, and when It did I had the heading hold selected and the VNAV and RNAV both disabled. Hello' there I would like to tell to PMDG developers , why don't you make an add-on for the B 737 800 900 NGX , that simulate weather radar , so your fantastic and amazing 737 NGX will be complete as real as it gets ? Because it has just the terrain simulatioas on PFD but we feel the LACK of weather radar in bundle as your PMDG 777 has just got ! I strongly hope the arrive of this useful gauge to really complete this professional add on !!!!! We need it !!!! Hello everyone, For those who are interested: Saturday 25 July 2015: The worst storm in Holland since many years, a 737-800 from Transavia had already made 3 go-arounds, so fuel is low and they must land!. many flights were already cancelled that day, trees were torn from their roots like matches (killing 1 person). Hi all I recently visited my local airport and I noticed that all of the B738 and A320 aircraft seemed to idle the reverse thrust at 60 knots but the covers on the engines remained open until the end of the runway. Only one B738 idled the reverse thrust at 60 knots and also closed the covers at the same time. Please can someone explain this to me? Also, can this be simulated in FSX using the NGX? Ryan

Hi all: Could someone please advise me on how to download the service update for the 737NG base Package? I bought the boxed version from the Pilot Shop and bought the expansion pack direct from PMDG so I have an account. I tried to download the service update from PMDG but it says something about the installer on the original base package order, which I did not buy from them. So I am unable to download the service pack because I have no original order. Ideas? Thanks

Greetings I am baffled by an alarm that I do not understand. I have searched through the FCOM and FCTM without luck. Navigate 32 minutes into the video just before landing. You will hear an audible alarm which is the autopilot disconnect (zaa zaa zaa). This is immediately followed by another alarm (beep beep beep). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXH9LhUQCIs Does anyone know what this alarm is for? I found a couple of great fsuipc LUA scripts to use with the NGX for those who use hardware throttles like the saitek, think one been mentioned before in a posting, but thought I'd create a single thread and republish for those new NGX users or lucky simmers that got hardware for Christmas. The first is a great LUA that allows you to easily set and control reverse thrust. Basically you can assign a throttle lever so that when you bring it all the way down past the detent on the saitek throttle hardware which activates the button it puts the engines into reverse, so now when you push the levers forward you are controlling the amount of reverse thrust, so operating …

Burning question here and it may have been addressed some time ago, but here it goes. I will start up a flight in FSX:SE, choose PMDG and choose an aircraft. Everything else falls into place and I hit the fly now button. Screen is black, while the progress bar shows up, loading, loading, loading. Then, at 100%, I see the cockpit and my plane is at 100% engines and am moving forward very rapidly. I hit the brakes, set the parking brake, and I see the engines spool down, then immediately spool up. My only recourse is to cut the fuel to the engines but that seems to mess up the rest of the aircraft setup. Alarms are beeping, lights flashing, all of this feeling lik…

Hi. I've recently started using the NGX again after a 6 month hiatus and I'm running into problems. Every time I'm descending the aircraft picks up speed compared to the VNAV DES TGT SPD and I get the "DRAG REQUIRED" message on the FMC, usually when descending through FL250-150. I've tested not using the speed brakes and I'll hit 290IAS or more, compared to my target of 260IAS. I use PFPX for the flight planning and ASN as weather. I add the winds from the DESCENT column of the briefing to the DES FORECAST page and also ISA DEV and QNH, and they seem to reasonably match whats in the simulator at the time of the descent, still I'm always overspeeding. Hi, I have just noticed that on my last couple of flights the top right hand digits that display the crossing time of the next waypoint on the ND are not constant. They are constantly scrolling thorugh the times. Does anypne know why this could be? thanks Keith
