My PMDG B737 NX can no longer register. The key number is not accepted. What can I do?

What would be a good method of practicing how to handle the NGX on one engine? I'm thinking of going up to 5000, and just cutting off the fuel lever on one side. The goal is to experience how to keep flying with asymmetrical thrust. Hand flying of course! I suppose I could set it up using the failures menu but I won't be following the book, ie I won't try to relight it, but rather will just keep flying on one engine and try to bring her in safely. Eddie (code7700.com) sez that all multi engine pilots need to know how to fly their bird with an engine out, so I'm wondering how to try it out.

Hope someone can expand on the actuall procedure and what it means? Starter Duty Cycle : First attempt ....................................2 min. ON & 20 sec. OFF - Second & subsequent attempts. ..........2 min. ON & 3 min. OFF 2 mins ON - does that mean the GRD switch on for 2?

Tonight I wanted to make a test flight to test Orbx's scenery to see if I would get any OOM's. I didn't. Used PFPX to create a flight from KSEA to KJAC. Flight was fine the whole way, set up for autoland, on final I had LAND 3 annunciated and was very close to landing when on approach I saw the middle yellow light, A/T flickering every few seconds then it disconnected so I had to hand land it from something like 30 feet up. Why did this happen? I've done a few autolands and it always went well but I have never seen this. I am using FSX Gold. Win 7 64 Saitek yoke, pedals, & quadrant. Thanks for any help. Jack

I just noticed that the HUD is blank and not displaying anything in P3D. Worked fine for in FSX. Anyone has that problem? Michel.

I was flying into KIAG and loaded the ILS Y rwy28R approach into the fms. There is a hold specified on the chart and the FMS indicated the hold in a blue dash oval on the ND, but I couldn't figure out how to activate it so the AP would actually fly the hold. I ended up just manually adding the hold myself and it superimposed it over the blue dash oval that was already there. But I figure there is probably a way to tell the FMS to activate the hold that it is already aware of. Anyone know? Thanks!

Hello! The other night i was flying frm Bergen (ENBR) to Manchester (EGCC). Right when i passed FL280 i had an emergency, and had to land. The flightplan had taken me to Sola (ENZV) before turning to England. I had one problem, how do i make Sola (ENZV) my new airport?? I could only choose Bergen (ENBR) and Manchester (EGCC).. I figured out how to make Sola a aternate, but could not choose it.. Can anybody help ?

Awe been researching this for a bit, I get this long pause before touchdown, been trying different things to fix the issue and nothing seems to work, I have got rid of my overclock,(running a 4790K at 4 ghz and a gtx 580), no tweaks in my fsx cfg file, and got rid of the fx skidmark file to see if that would work. The things I have been reading through different forums seem to be that the ngx is loading a massive sound file before landing. Any suggestions?

I got the NGX as a gift on disk. When I go to downloads I see there is a sp1d available, but I don't see any link to get the download. It wants an order number but I didn't have an order number. How do I get the download?

When I load the 737-800/900 I get the following, "WARNING: the PMDG produce was unable to create it's work files. Please make sure you are running Flight Simulator X as administrator>" I installed FSX as administrator but How do I run it as administrator. Thanx for any help. Roger Douglas. I just installed P3D on a fresh installed computer on Windows 8.1. I Installed the latest version and Hotfix of P3Dv2 and the NGX for P3D. I loaded the plane via the P3D menu and Pressed OK. two things happened: 1. I was never challenged with the Activation Step nor was I asked to enter my S/N. 2 Probably related to the 1st one, all my displays are black and I can not press any button in the cockpit. not in the MCP, overhead panel, pedestal, etc. nothing is clickable , at 1st I thought it might be DIrectX (looks like it), I ran the DX setup again, but it did not help. I thought maybe it is the "PMDG_HUD_interface.dll" not loaded properly, but I have no way of telli…

Hello! I just wanted to download some 737NGX liveries but PMDG says that I have a Operiation Center like the 777 has to download some liveries. BUt my Problem is, I bought it 1 year ago and so I did not have the Operation Center. Hi all, Iam new to this forum. First of all, I dont know if this is the right place to poste this problem. Iam having some problems with my PMDG 737 NGX 2D panel. When I switch from the VC to the 2D panel, I cant see a panel. I can only see an scenery. I tried some things like SHIFT + 1 and that kind of combinations. I realy dont know what to do.... I dont want the VC realy, because of the FPS. I get 10-18 FPS in the VC. With the 2D panel I get 30-35 FPS. So, I realy want the 2D panel. Iam using the full screen view ( not the windowed view) Maybe you know the solution? Thanks, Daan

I only have a modest 100 hours or so in the NGX. I recently started getting curious about VATSIM but I knew I didn't know the plane well enough to fly it online, especially with the extremely demanding (and unrealistic) complications of simultaneously acting as both captain and f/o. Plus, I wasn't convinced that my flows were all that accurate. So I decided to give FS2Crew a try. I'm totally hooked and will never look back! Hello! Everytime i climb to FL350 or above i get the same message in the FMC: Check ALT TGT, and a INSANELY enoying sound (same sound as when you set full thrust on ground).. How do i get this to go away? Last time I changed the CRZ altitude, and everything screwed up.. The passanger oxygen Lvl went to 0, the pressure in the cabin went sky high, the LNAV disconected and on the preassurisation panel whent blanc... Is this a bug, or have i done something horrible wrong? Ps: I have the FSX Steam edition now, and this never happend on the boxed edition... Please help !

Hello! I used navigraph to update my pfpx and topcat, but cant figure out how to update the NGX... When i download i get a installation file, and have to choose a folder, but where can i find this folder ? :0 I feel like i have tried everything.. I use FSX steam btw Please help ! :-)

I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, but I thought this video would not only be entertaining, but also instructive for those of us who enjoy flying the NGX. I stumbled across a great YouTube channel that perhaps many of you are already familiar with - 737Channel. The quality of the videos is excellent. Anyway, one of the videos is a ILS Cat II landing tutorial focusing on the PFD. I know the PMDG documentation on approaches is quite extensive but a picture is worth a thousand words. I noticed many realistic repaints are creating real life panel configurations such as Alaska having yellow cards in the cockpit, can one of you great artists create this panel layout? http://www.airliners.net/photo/Australia---Air/Boeing-737-7DT-BBJ/0836827/L/ Just the registration cards above the PFD are okay. If you can find a way to paint the auxilary fuel panel on the lower left just for show that would be great too. If not just the registration card above is fine. Can someone help? Since downloading the new installer and following all the instructions I'm getting an annoying problem... The FMC now starts on the service/failure page but displays no issues. However once it's fired up and ready to taxi, I cannot extinguish the annunciatior panel as the fuel and anti ice are illuminated. There are no faults on the fmc and all the checklists have been followed. This has only started since I updated the ngx. And I've clean installed it twice now to no avail. It happen on all my liveries.... Dan

Please forgive me if this is posted else where. Is there a software version compatible with Jetmax hardware? In the following video, Jetmax specifies compatibility with other competitors software. The reason I ask, is I would still like to display to others online, the beautiful 3d Exterior model that PMDG is known for, and also have the P-8A as an option. For future planning, I would like to limit my setup to 2 P.C.'s if possible, and run 3 "out the Window" displays on one. While the other P.C. runs the Flight Deck hardware. -Woog
