I use both PFPX and Top Cat for flight planning in order to get my flights correct but I am never able to enable Lnav and Vnav on the ground before takeoff? Conversely, If I do the same for the 777 I have no problems. Does anyone have a solution please? Please don't just say "Oh your doing something wrong" as that is of no help at all. Constructive comments though, are most welcomed and appreciated too. Thanking you all in anticipation.

Cordialement. Hello, I've already contacted yo…

I have a problem that only occurs with PMDG Aircraft. When I push the J1 BTN 3 on my Saitek X52 Joystick, to change my EZDOC Camera view that shows the auto-pilot in the cockpit, it disengages the auto-pilot. I have to manually push the auto-pilot button in the cockpit to engage it again. When I push any other button or toggle to change to another camera view it's fine, the auto-pilot stays engaged. I've checked both the FSX Keyboard settings and my FSUIPC Settings and there isn't a conflict. Any ideas ?

Hello, Is there a multiplier of the service based failure in the B737NGX for P3D? Or, is there a way to tweak the hours flown with a certain livery to reduce the 250hrs of the service based failures?

You're at a hot country and During your Preliminary preflight flows you turn on the APU to cool the cabin down, ambient temp is +27 at Lisbon. GRD PWR has been established and on the AC transfer busses. This is my question would you put the APU on the busses or leave the GRD PWR for power and APU for air only?

I checked the manual Anti-Ice Systems: • During ground turns in areas with high temperatures, you may notice the window heaters cycling off/on to maintain window heat target temperature. You may also notice that the windows require no heat at all to maintain the target surface temperature. This requires you to use the WINDOW HEAT TEST switch as a confidence test that the heaters are actually working. • An engine anti-ice OVERPRESSURE warning lets you know that the pressure inside the ring cowl on the respective engine is too high. Follow the QRH to resolve the problem, but also take a look at the engine in the external view as the high pressure blow-out duct will be…

  9. Hello 737 pilots, i just love the 737-800NGX. I painted my own livery with the paintkit and if i look closely, i can see that the nose section of my aircraft (fuselage_1) seems a little bit darker/ different coloured than the rest of the aicraft. I thought that there was something wrong with my paint so i checked my paint again, but everything is right. I even see this "issue" with the default PMDG 737NGX liveries. Is this in issue or not? Do you see the same on your system. Again: You can only see this if you look closely!! Please take a look at my picture:

My understanding of an overlay approach is when you use the GPS when doing a NPA. Ie the VOR APCH is selected from the DB But then i found this - Note: What is an “overlay” approach? If the approach to be flown is not in the FMC database, another approach having the same profile and plan view may be selected. That note sounds alot different to what i think it is? Can anyone clear this up? Thanks.

I use VNAV as the pitch and LOC for the lateral part going down the ILS to the MDA circling minima (920) At 1000 the FMA shows VNAV ALT (MCP ALT SET AT 1000) and when my acft levels off and i enter the MAA the acft then goes back into VNAV PTH and starts to descend?

I am making a flight in FSX, KSEA to PANC. Everything is up to date as far as updates go. I am using a -800. I loaded cold and dark and started the engines but no matter what switch positions I have the fuel pumps at I always get a fuel light on the push button light. I flew a couple of flights the other day where the engines were already running and no fuel light. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. Jack.

Approaching LFMN (Nice France) from waypoint BORDI the FMC offered the choices RNVB 22L and RNVA 22L The first route complies with the latest Navigraph chart; the second (RNVA 22L) follows an other route. The FMC of PMDG 777 shows the same choices. The FMC of the Airbus A320 (Aerosoft) offers only RNV 22L and produces the same route as PMDG 737NGX RNVB 22L Both aircraft FMC are updated at the same time with Navigraph FMS Data Manager. Any opinions on the meaning of RNVA and RNVB Rens van Doorn

  25. I've had the NGX for a while now and it has always loaded with the engines running and all the systems pretty much ready to go. However, recently it has been loading in the cold and dark state. I didn't think that this was a problem until I tried to load a flight and the aircraft was flying around at 30,000 ft completely cold and dark, which makes loading a saved panel state tricky. The problem seemed to start after I'd been having issues with my XML file (I think), causing the FSDT Addon Manager to do all sorts of annoying things with my sceneries and modules. The Addon Manager is the only thing I installed into FSX:SE that may have some connection tot he problem.
