PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I have downloaded the latest 737NGX updates, I have Active Sky next installed now what? When I go to the Radar Panel and try to select the gain, auto, test and etc. nothing happens. I have searched the Forum and PMDG's Knowledge Base, but can't find a solution to my problem. Please tell me what I am doing wrong! Dan

Hi all, For a number of years, my sim has provided me with untold enjoyment and I have been happy using my three 22" screens (with all the plastic covering removed). I have now got to the stage on my cockpit construction where the window frames are built in. This spurred me into purchasing alternative screens. I now have 55" HD screens which totally cover the front of the aircraft's views. The question I have is this. Is it possible to obtain a view outside of the aircraft without the window frames or indeed the glare shield or MIP. My screens are connected through Triple Head To Go and I run EZDok. Offers of help would be much appreciated.

As the topic suggests I think I might have found a bug. I'm using the latest version of the NGX in P3Dv2.5 and my OS is Win10 Pro x64 if of importance. What I've found is that sometimes when you bring up the LEGS page in the FMC and press the RTE DATA LSK to enter wind data when you're already enroute and then type the wind in the scratchpad to upselect it to one of the waypoints the FMC will freeze on you and so will the PFD and the NAV display. The sim will continue to run but the aircraft will stay doing whatever it was doing when the freeze happened so let's say you were in a left bank when it happened. Then the aircraft will stay in this left bank forever. I'…

I now have many hours on the NGX. I am by no means an expert, but I do feel I am starting to get to know her. From my initial fully automated flights, I am now starting to take charge more often. I am starting to understand her slippery nature - almost an unwillingness to descend. I am beginning to get an appeciation of what a powerful tool the FMC is. More importantly, every time I fly her I learn something new about the systems and the depth and detail which went into her design. This is a truly remarkable piece of software. Thank you Team PMDG

Generally, I fly one UAL livery of the PMDG 737-800 (N76517), and I'm trying to figure out whether or not my service-based failures are working. In short, I've put hundreds of hours into real-time simming with this aircraft, and I've yet to experience a service-based failure. The feature is enabled, I've made sure of that from the get-go. In addition, every time I start a flight, oil quantity is at 100%. I'm thinking something's not quite right. Does starting with the 'Long' panel state interfere with service-based failures, because I usually do start with it. Thanks in advance for any feedback/help/insight.

I want to fly an ETOPS operation KSEA-PHNL. Maximum fuel on the PMDG 737-800 is 45,900 pounds. The required fuel for this trip is 49,165 lbs. Alaska Airlines flies this route ETOPS daily. My question is whether there's a way to make an adjustment in the PMDG 737-800 to extend the fuel load? If not, that eliminates quite a bit of my long route plans. Thanks guys!

I down loading the 737 NGX, FMC totorial ( Aussie Star) from PMDG. On PDF page 6 it says select JCT7 on the next computor page. When I select JCT7, nothing happens, not anything on that page clicks. Any help please ? Bob Dee

Hi guys, I've recently purchased the saitek yoke and pedals. For the life of me I cant seem to flare the 737 and most of the time end up floating down the runway or smashing into the runway. I'm pretty sure rather than my lack of ability its more to do with the calibration of my yoke. Previously I used the budget thrustmaster hotas joystick and most of the time could make decent landings. I use FSUIPC and have everything setup and calibrated that way, all axis assignments have been disabled in FSX. Greetings Control Wheel Steering (CWS) can be used during approach without a problem. But, what about landing - can CWS remain engaged during the landing ? Also, if flying with CWS engaged, is it protocol to also have the A/T engaged ? If using CWS I disengage at 1500 feet or at minimums and usually, if in approach mode, manually control the throttle. However, at other times I leave the A/T engaged when using CWS. Thanks, WilloW

Hi there, Long time 737 NGX user in FSX and I've just moved over to P3D. Everything works as it should, everything is normal. Until I attempt to take off. If heavy, the aircraft will accelerate to 100kts and that's it, and if it it's light it will go to about 30-40kts. Any ideas?! Mike Parker

Hi Since migrating to W10 64bit whenever I load a 737NGX from the P3D menu I get the activation required box and I have to enter my serial number to proceed. This happens every time I restart P3D. It doesn't happen when selecting the 777. Any ideas what may be causing this? It didn't happen before the move to W10. Thanks Andrew

Hi when I load the pmdg ngx 737-800 in P3D it loads in a status where it is about to take off. When init is completed auto throttle is engaged and the plane start rolling. MCP panel settings are not the default. However in PMDG setup i specified Default NGX as the startup panel state. If I immediately pause the game and go into the FMC setup menu and I load the NGX Default state from there, I do get the normal state (with auto throttle off etc) Press execute and it loads normally This is however the startup state in my FMC setup, so it should do this right from the start: I have also saved this "normal" state as user defined state "jacques" and specifie…

Hello, I just updated to Windows 10 and am running Steam FSX edition. Everytime i try to load the PMDG 737 it asks for an activation key, which i assume is my license key, but it throws the error "ERROR: flxActCommonRepairLocalTrustedStorage - (50044,71013,1). What led to this problem I do not know, but it tends to veer to the left... only PMDG 737. On final as I deactivate the autopilot, the airplanes starts to veer left and it is hard to keep on heading. Fuel imbalance is ruled out, I have equal amounts in wing tanks. Same happens on the ground from the start of simulation: the thing is extremely hard to taxi, it refuses to keep rolling forward in a straight manner. On take off and climb out, it may have this problem too but it is less noticeable because it isn't the same as aiming at the runway when landing. The 737 is impossible to keep to a set speed, i.e. 250 knots, if the rate of descent is anything much above 1600 fpm. This is with the spoilers up & pressing F1 to ensure throttles are fully back. I am sure that the real 737 is not that slippery, as on Flight radar you can see them descending at up to 2000+ fpm. Does anyone else suffer from this problem or am I not doing something right? Hi guys I've got new SSD drive and reinstalled my OS and FSX. At first I installed my box version of 737NGX. Then downloaded last update from Aerosoft, deleted in Control Panel current install of NGX and installed this new SP1d update. But I can see only 800/900 non-winglets and Poseidon versions. Winglets versions are missing in my simulator. I found topic here about how and where to delete 737NGX folders bevor new install in FSX. I tried and it didn't help. Any suggestions? Thanks.

So after 3 weeks un successfully trying to get your 777 to work, now when I try and use the 737 I now get this bundle of joy when i load up the 737 ngx And before you try and tell me its my drivers or my .net or my direct x its not. they are all upto date. all the other payware products work fine, airports, addons and other payware aircraft they al work fine . apart from both your 737 and 777 (oom hell) heres a screenshot of what i get when i try and load up. Dear all,After a succesfull installation of PMDG737NGX 800-900 (3118 full installer) in my new PC, i proceeded with the 600-700 expansion (3118 full installer downloaded from PMDG). Attempting the 600-700 installation i faced the error "Feature transfer file - Catastrophic failure" and thus it is impossible to install and use my 600-700 copy.Is there anyone had ever the same issue? (I submitted a ticket in PMDG support but they said that is an OS issue and I' m wondering why on this specific installer only?)Any help will be higly appreciated,Regards,John

Having flown a variety of aircraft in the real world, I've always been a bit frustrated hand flying aircraft in Flightsim. It's just not quite right. The aircraft are too touchy, the trim is too twitchy making the aircraft unstable. Even with quality controllers Its difficult to maintain altitude, speed etc. It's easier to fly the real thing. That having been said, I must say that PMDG has made a huge advance in this area. I can not believe how stable the NGX is. I don't know how they accomplished it but this is by far the most realistic airplane I have ever hand flown in Flightsim. It's just a joy to fly, not a constant fight. Greetings, A few weeks ago, I decided it was time to step up my system by overclocking and installing Steve's DX10 Fixer software. I was very surprised by the changes that were quickly apparent. The HUD had a sharp presentation, but also had a greenish glow around each of the display items, not unlike if the intensity were turned too bright. The effect was most present during daytime flight, less so at night but still noticeable. After I made this change, my Norton AV installation decided to attack my computer. :smile:. Good evening, I have lost my PMDG 737NGX CD/DVD that contained my Product code and order number. Does anyone know how I might get the information? I have reached out to PMDG, Amazon and the vendor to no avail. Is there a way access the information from my computer where the PMDG is downloaded? Help! I have FSX. I followed Kyle's recommended intructs and uninstalled FSX NGX SP1C. When I then tried to install SP1D, I get an error message that the install is aborted because it can't find fsx.exe. I have FSX installed on my C drive titled "FSX" and fsx.exe is indeed present in that directory! Usually an installer will ask to specify where FSX is if it can't locate it but your installer simply aborts. What can I do? I have Windows VISTA 64 as my OS. Update! I even moved the installer into my FSX directory and I still get the same error and fsx.exe is right next to it!
