    Hi folks, What's the best method of setting up the CH Throttle quadrant for throttle and reverse using the above without the CH control manager. I don't want to assign a button to reverse as its not realistic. Had it working previously in version 2 but cant remember what I did. Thanks S

    Was doing a flight from EGPF - EGKK and using the NATS SRD. PFPX said i would land with 2.1 tonnes and my reserves are 2.0 tonnes at Gatwick. But soon as i modify the STAR (enter HARD altitudes at DISIT FL200 and KIDLI FL150) the fuel on the progress page drops to 2.0 and sometimes 1.9 causing the FMC to show USING RSV FUEL. Can someone explaing why the fuel burn increase? I thought the FMS would recalculate an idle DES path atleast.

    I just bought this challenging airport and have had a lot of fun over the weekend making the difficult approach into RWY 15. Here is a quick idea for those interested, I know our Alaska Airlines jocks will be challenged by this approach, and I bet that an RNP could be easily developed for fun in the sim. Do a flight from VEBD passing over BBD VOR climbing to 16,000 direct TAKTI, cross TAKTI at 16,000 and 240 KIAS, then direct PRO VOR on the 180 radial. Cross PRO at 13,500 and 180 KIAS, track the PRO 328 radial outbound and use the PR NDB to home in to the airport. Cross over the airport and decide if a visual is feasible.     Suppose I start from an airport A ( where I align ),then fly to an airport B ( not stopping the engines,not switching align to OFF ),and then to an airport C Do I have to realign at airport B ? It seems to me all data are in the IRS and therefore no alignment necessary at airport B. Please correct me if I am wrong and explain me why . HubertWerni

    All, I am thinking about turning on the failures on the NGX to make things a bit more interesting, and keep me on my toes. I have a few questions before doing this. I am thinking the QRH will need to be at my fingertips in order to solve the failures when they come up. Is this for the most part all I need to solve problems as they happen? I will need to print them out and bind them and have them by my side as I fly, so I don't want to print them if they're not going to help. If a failure does happen, how do they get fixed?     I've read the FSXisms in the tutorial, but I want to know more about SIMisms. What is it that we simmers are doing that really shouldn't be doing? I've tried my hardest to learn everything from the documentation provided by PMDG, the procedures, checklists, etc. Watching some of these youtubes, people are making tutorials as if they were experts, while they're not even following basic procedures.   10. Hi Guys I have a PMDG 737 NGX on dvd and I purchase this copy from Flight sim store about year ago and I wish to update it to Prepar3d V3.   12. Hi, Anyone know if PMDG will offer a free upgrade from 737ngx(P3Dv2.x) to P3Dv3 ? They clearly states: This is compatible only with Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D. (v2.2.x - v2.5.x) Couple of more question: 1. How do you install 737ngx(P3Dv2.x) into P3Dv3 ? 2. Are their absulut NO issues running pmdg 737ngx(p3dv2x) in P3Dv3 ? 3.     Good Afternoon, First off, I have several hundred hours in the NGX so I'm kind of baffled as to why this is happening. I was climbing out and all seemed normal. I went to engage the autopilot and it doesn't engage. The generators are on, packs on, hydraulics on, both FDs on and Master on captain's side. Everything seems normal to me but the autopilot will not engage. I am flying in an American Airlines New Paint that I downloaded in the AVSIM library and not using the PMDG Op center.     Recently something 'strange' is happening with my B738 yoke - it tilts to the right by itself and I have to pull left on my joystick to fly level again. I'm using Microsoft Force Feedback 2 and everything is calibrated - in FSX and FSUIPC and it doesn't happen with any other aircraft in FSX. Any ideas why?

    In my QRH it mentions distance and adjustments for, GOOD, MEDIUM and POOR are increased by 15% but it also mentions in the advisory information part Normal conditions - 115% for Slippery runways. I understand the wet figures are the dry factored figures increased by a further 15% but what is the 115% for?

    Can anyone please advise on some strange behavior I am seeing. I am running FSX Acc on Windows 7 with the PMDG NGX latest 1D release installed. Everything appears fine for a while during my pre flight flows, then for no reason that I can identify, my keyboard key assignment stop responding. For example, Alt+Rtn no longer switches between windowed and full screen - though I can still do this ok via the drop-down. The Ctrl+F12 Ground Services X menu call-up which starts out fine, stops responding, though likewise its fine via the drop-down. The arrow mouse pointer changes to a hand icon when I press the above keys with an index finger beckoning animation. I …

    Hi ! Is there any chance that we'll be able to see some HUD informations updated? I found out very interesting videos and I must admit that NGX differ with only few details but still, not 100% representation. Things like roll-out autobrake setting showed on the HUD or wind shear guidance.     Okay so when I am running the 737 in windowed mode any time I try to click on something outside of FSX, FSX crashes. Has been this way since I installed it and doesn't do it for any other planes.     I've tried twice to fly tonight with the 737-800 NGX (FSX SE) and twice the buttons suddenly wouldn't work. Some of them would work in the 2d panels but not on the 3d cockpit. The only thing I can think of is I remember this happening before with RC4, but I'm not sure if I'm remembering right or not. It has worked in the past, so I'm sure there is something I am doing wrong. Patrick Boynton

    I am about to study the so called IRS Display Unit of the PMDG-737 ( FCom2,page 817,see attached printscreen ) but as I am rather confused by it I hope somebody can explain more then the manual.
