PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

Hi, not sure if this is the right thread so apologies in advance I've just downloaded a new Livery for the NGX 800WL from the avsim library, followed the instructions (checked FSX.cfg settings and installed via livery manager) but when I load the aircraft the flightdeck has some messed up textures and isn't loading correctly. Could anybody help point me at the issue please? The livery downloaded was the 'Ryanair Boeing 737-800NG (EI-FIB) repaint for the PMDG 737-800 - By Goldstar Textures' Thanks in advance! EDIT: Figured it out, it was rendering 2 check lists as one is in the options for equipment whilst the other was baked into the livery.

Hi, I had FSX installed onto my HDD, but as I was purchasing the NGX I decided to move the file over to my SSD. I didn't do this completley conventionally using Steam Mover. This worked and everything is going well!. However I now wish to install every steam related application to a 250GB SSD I have just purchased. As steam mover uses links to allow the game, I'd like some advice as to how to approach this. Do I need to revert the step by using the back arrow so the game is now completley on my HDD first? How will this affect the NGX? I am concerned that I'll do this and then lose my NGX (which I absoloutley love!) and thus the money I spent on it. I'd like some form …

I installed P3D V3.1 from 3.0 and ever since then P3d is slow to shut down. Sometimes it says not responding when I try to close the program and takes 20-30 seconds to close. I found out this morning that this only happens with the PMDG 737 NGX, which worked perfectly in p3d V3 and still does in 3.1 other than this slow shutdown of P3D issue. Wondering if anyone else has seen this problem? All I changed in P3d was the P3D Client Another thing I just tried is prior to shutting P3D v3.1 down with the 737 NGX loaded, is I load another aircraft first replacing the NGX. Then P3D shuts down normally.

Hi all: I started to use P3D v3 rencently and something I found wiered. The Light Sensor (or the little white box at the top left of the screen) MAY cause a quick white flash of the screen everytime I press a view changing botton (changing between inside or outside aircraft and/or to use EZdok hotkeys). I tried to find out where the flash comes out and I accidentally clicked on the box and pulled it out bigger a little bit, the white flash changes from whole screen to where the bigger box is. So I resume it should caused by the box. Nothing to do with V-Sync either. I need your advise pls.

I have just reinstalled my 737NGX and have run up against the problem of no content in the HGS when I bring it down. I vaguely remember this was an early problem so I would be grateful if someone could point me to the solution. Warmest regards, Ian McPhail, Gold Coast Australia.

Can you run the FMC on a remote client? Running 3 monitors via a GTX 960 card.

Can anyone explain why the terrain elevation display (green) increases and decreases depending if your climbing or descending? But the red elevation doesn't change. Why does the lower number change? I thought this corresponds to the terrain elevation

After a flight to KORD, I noticed they have finished adding runway 10R, so I got to work adding it and all the taxiways. I looked up the new ILS Freq and Call Sign and all seemed to be well. However, when I flew in with 10R entered in the FMC, and 110.9 on Nav 1 and Nav 2, all was well to start with, but as I approached the field, the FMC changed to I-OHA with a course of 144 degrees. Further investigation revealed that KORD now has 14L and 10R on the same frequency, and the FMC flipped over at some point. Presumably this works in the real world, but I wonder if it was an unforeseen condition for PMDG ? I checked the charts from AirNav and confirmed the data …

OK, so here comes next issue/question since I replaced P3Dv2.5 with P3Dv3.1. If I try to start P3D using a default flight using the NGX P3D won't start. I see the logo showing up and then I see the progress bar for a split second saying it's loading stuff but then I'm back at the desktop and nothing happens. Checking active processes using Task Manager I see Prepar3d.exe running. The only way to make P3D start normally again is to manually edit Prepar3D.cfg blanking out the default flight and setting SHOW_SCENARIO_WINDOW=1 so I get a chance to load my flight from the scenario screen. Funny thing is loading the very same flight this way via the scenario screen work…

I've released a set of 4 repaints for the united 737 fleet that update the colors used in the default repaints to a lighter grey. The grey used by pmdg is the wrong shade when compared to the real aircraft. I've also included a -900ER paint with the extra set of doors. The ID is 332864 in the P3D repaints section.

Hello everyone I have a problem with the PMDH 737NGX for P3D V3 10 out of 10 times my FMC freezes during takeoff, climb, descent or approach. It is very frustrating. A few questions for fuel planning in the FMC Tutorial 2 pretty straightforward, but some a few what if questions I have- What if you're at the gate and your parked with fumes in the tank? You're at the gate, and you program the route - you go into the FMC and PROG - but there's not enough fuel in the tank to get you to your destination. You can't then subtract the fuel at your destination from the fuel currently onboard. Is this true or did I miss something? Similar with the alternate fuel calculation. If this were the case how do we use the FMC to plan for fuel? I would think fuel load would impact fuel burn. Say we do our fuel planning with 8,000 lbs onboard…

I just recently re-installed Prepar3d.v3 on a different hard drive and uninstalled and re-installed PMDG 737NGX back into Prepar3d.v3 on the new HD. Everything works okay except, the Poseidon Livery is the same for Mad Foxes and the house Colors. Seems that whatever is in the [fltsim.0] in the aircraft.cfg file, is the only one that will show up. Example: If I put the Mad Foxes in the [fltsim.0] position, all Poseidon aircraft will show the Mad Foxes colors. If I put the the house colors in the [fltsim.0] position, then all Poseidon aircraft will show the house colors. Is it possible I have a corrupt Poseidon aircraft.cfg file? I tried repairing through the install…

Should I take density altitude into consideration when calculating take off distances in Prepar3d? Is Density altitude really simulated in Prepar3d? Thanks!

Hi! I just purchased TOPCAT which is apparently a great addition to best addon ever made for FSX (PMDG 737 NGX just in case anyone has doubts) The software is really easy to use but I got stuck on DOW and ZFW. TOPCAT allows me to upload aircraft.cfg into it and that's what I did - 737-800 WL Ryanair standard PMDG config shows 42 991 kg of ZFW. Unfortunately when I go into FSX, fire up 737 NGX, set payload to 0 (both cargo and pax) I receive ZFW of 41.4 which is over a TON lower... Now this is where I am confused - what is a real sim value? Is this the one from config or the one from FMC? I would assume it's the one from config and FMC has just an error her…

Hi everyone, I am currently mid-flight, flying the PMDG 737 NGX and I just changed the CRZ level for the step climb appropriately, and then VNAV disconnects, and it says 'VNAV disconnect' in scratchpad of FMC and FMC does not respond. I can click buttons on the FMC yet still it won't. Swift advice would be much appreciated as I am approaching T/D in 30 mins, Cheers and merry christmas!! Daniel

Just installed the NGX in a clean P3Dv3.1 installation but I was never asked for the product activation key like you normally are when you first load the NGX and also this is what the panel looks like so clearly something went wrong during the installation. Any idea what could cause this and how to fix it?

Good morning...just wanted to let everyone know that I upgraded to Prepar3d 3.1 last night via first deleting the client and content portions of Prepar3d and then reinstalling the updated 3.1 client and content MSIs. All went well, except now the 737NGX is not responding to several "click spots" and I can't release the parking brake either w/ the keyboard, the click spot, or my saitek rudder pedals. Everything work great prior to the 3.1 update. Any suggestions? Carl

Hello, I tried - not knowing if possible - to start both engines from Ground Connections and Cold and Dark, but without using the APU. Here is what I did : - Select Cold and Dark - Ground Connections,all on - Battery : ON - GRD PWR : ON On Pneumatic Panel : - Packs : OFF - APU bleed : all three OFF Start engine #1: Switch to GRD,Fuel flow : ON Result : Engine #1 starts after a while Now I tried to start engine #2 using the same conditions as above: Result: Engine #2 does not start,showing a message "Start valve open" and "Low oil pressure " Can anybody help/explain ? For some reason, even though I updated via Navgiraph Data manager to the current AIRAC 1513 I get a message on the bottom line of the CDU saying NAV DATA AIRAC -1513 DEC10JAN06/16. Does this indicate that I have a problem, if so could someone please suggest what I need to do about it? Many thanks. Dennis Hickman
