PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I have a problem tuning COM 1, I fly the 737ngx on VATSIM, last night I tried tuning the radio to 125.32, and it would only tune to 125.32(5), and I can't seem to figure out a way to correct this. I don't see the (5) in the display either. Has anyone else had this problem, did I hit a button? Chris Greene

I've been guilty of saving my flight at the arrival gate, then having FSX skip the opening "choose your flight screen" The convenience was just too great. I've also found that doing that at the departure gate, after setting up the FMC then closing the sim will result in having that flight still set up in the FMC when reopening FSX. I understand that both scenarios will result in me using an old panel state. . . But what if i save the flight at arrival gate, setting it as default, then choosing that flight, without change, from the "choose your flight screen." Will that give me a fresh panel state? This just seems a bit cloudy to me. Thanks

Hi, lately I updated my Airac to 1513. I was doing approach to EPKK 07 runway in Vnav/Lnav mode using RNAV non precision approach. When I used it before it seemed to be pretty reliable, but this time the approach ended around 300 metres right to runway leaving me with no other option than a go around (I could switch to VOR localizer and do a standard VOR approach landing manually on runway, but I wanted to finish this to make sure that I'm really in wrong spot. Is it happening often or is it error within Airac? I know it's a non precision approach, but on the other hand LNAV and VNAV, if they operate correctly, should lead you to right place so I think the issue …

My ability to perform a CATIII autoland is inconsistent even though I seem to be following the same steps every time: (1) enter the ILS frequency from the selected runway in the FMS into both nav radios, (2) set the course on both course nobs, (3) enter runway length and elevation into the HGS,and (4) set autorbakes and arm the speed breaks. I then capture the localizer and hit APR in the MCP. Finally, I arm both left and right CMD buttons. After following those steps, most of my landings are still single channel. I should be seeing CMD followed by land3 at 1500 AGL. The only thing I can think of is that the PMDG FMS somehow knows which runways are CATIII equipped …

Have been reinstalling all my addons after replacing P3Dv2.5 with P3Dv3.1 and when I got to PrecipitFX and I went to the developers site to make sure it's P3D3.x compatible and I have the latest version I realized the full immersion package for the NGX has now been released. Reading about the package it seems very interesting to me with lots of extra cool effects tailor-made for the NGX. Here's a link to the product page and here's a YouTube clip where the developers talk about the package and show some of the effects. Anyone tried it yet?

I can't drop the gear down unless i'm below 250kts but the limitation allows speeds up to 270kts?

Rebuilding system. All is well until I try to re-install 737. I get the following message. Installation cannot continue. Your registry does not show a valid Prepar3D installation location. It just doesn't make any sense. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum Here it goes. So pretty much, all in one day I downloaded fs2crew reboot and the level d 767. The level d 767 was causing me serious problems, so I had to uninstall it. Shortly afterwards, I did a flight on the PMDG 737 and it took like 80% n1 just to taxi, let alone take off. And it was having some sound issues, and kept on veering to the left even though there was no wind or anything. I resolved the sound issues by messing with fs2crew, but the engine power issues remain. I turned off windows error reporting systems, but turned it back on with no luck. Maybe that was the problem? Hi all, So I have an issue. Basically I load up fsx and multiplayer and for some reason the PMDG will not initialise at all. It works perfectly well in single player. I have tried changing servers, deleting config, reinstalling the PMDG, deleting liveries etc, changing the start airport. The addons I am using are ezdok and the pmdg. I am running windows 10 and FSX is installed on a seperate SSD. Hi, I am going to uninstall 737NGX from Prepar3d v2.5 and install it again on Prepar3d v3.1. Will I need a new installer for v3.1? I am unsure in doing this.

So, I purchased the Base and Expansion, and I tried installing them into a fresh FSX:SE. I did read the about the SimConnect issues, and I ran the installers to fix the issue. I installed the base pack, activated it, and took the -800 (no winglets) up to 20,000. Worked fine. Landed it, still fine. I go to install the xpack, and lo and behold, it installs.... But doesn't? The files don't show up in the Sim Objects/Airplanes folder. Does anyone have a clue as to what could be happening? I mean, I'm still trying to figure it out on my end, and have a ticket open with PMDG, so there's that mode as well. Just want to see what the community has to say.

Hello simmers! Been having a tiny bug with the NGX, and was wondering if anyone might be able to help me shed some light on its cause. Whenever I look back at the wing from the VC in the day with the position light on, the winglet is completely lit up as though it is night. I don't see this from the external view, and have had the same issue in both FSX and P3D. The problem has persisted with multiple different textures. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do? I treid programming switches to my controls and I wanted to set engine start switches separately for engine 1 and engine 2. However when I create a mouse macro for one side it automatically moves the other one too. (Mouse macro for left switch moves the right switch too). Any idea how to solve this one? EDIT: Figured out the control for the right switch is working fine but control for the left switch still affects both switches.

Hi Everyone I haven't played FSX in a couple of months, and today I decided to play. I'v just installed a couple of repaints by Alex Farmer from avsim, and when I select the desired plane in FSX, it brings up a box asking for an activation code? If I enter my license or order number or anything else it just comes up with an error code (ERROR:FlxActcommonRepairLocalTrustedStorage - (50044,71013,1) It should be noted that my PC (Windows 7) now brings up a box asking permission to run FSX by Dovetail Games, so I think my base game has been updated via Steam. (While booting up it says that the eSellerate engine isn't found) Please I could I have some assistance? …

Hello I just got the fmc from opencockpots & I was wondering if it was posible to undock the fmc from the 737 without the keys etc. Iwould like to use just the fmc screen .it would be better to resize for use on a second monitor. can anyone help please Thank you very much Tim

Hello, Since I have been using the NGX, I noticed the displays are not as crisp as they used to in FSX, this is very noticeable when you click for example on the ND and it pops out, compared to its image when you just look at the flight panel. One other issue: anytime a plane is flying past me, below, I keep seeing its red tag, as if my plane is transparent. I have very few flights with the NGX in P3D,and these are my first issues... If I have to post some pix just ask, but please let me know what site to use, as Image shack is telling me my free trial is over and I do not want to pay just to upload two images... Enrico

Recently, when I fly the 737 in FSX I have received a continuous engine failure indication abut 10 minutes into the flight. The engine indicators turn all red and the message "Engine Failure" appears below. The revolution indicators temporarily go to 0, but then the engines restart. But the cycle of failure and restart continues indefinitely, and I can find no way to fix the problem. I have adequate fuel, and there is no message on the FMC. i have previously had many successful flights. I have installed no new applications. The Failures Option is turned off in the FMC, and in FSX Can anyone help? Jack Laschenski

After a long time of not flying, I've now got the NGX installed to P3D. What am I forgetting or doing wrong, that I have a constant alarm sounding on final approach? I think it's the gear alarm.

So I programmed in the following route into the FMC of the PMDG 737 and when I got to the STAR it had the following... EGNM POL DTY EGLL STAR - BNN1C TRANS - BNN Before I fill out the INIT REF page the approach looks like the charts over at NATS but as soon as I fill that out and execute it puts in this 'loop'? I'm using the latest Airac cycle 1513. Cruise altitude of FL190 so not too high for an easy descent. Pax 150 and cargo 2000lbs split between front and back holds. If anyone can shine light on this I'd be grateful Thanks

In the FCOMv1 is stated the MTOW of 155.500 lbs for the B738 and 174.200 lbs for the B739. In real world the MTOW for the B738 is about 170.000 lbs and for the B739 187.000 lbs. Are the figures in the FCOMv1 incorrect?

I'm running P3D V3 and ActiveSky Next (with "enhanced turbulence" off)... The elevator spikes a lot when the autopilot is on and I'm in a climbing turn... This is something I noted long ago when I used FSX and the problem continues in P3D V3... I clicked "control spike elimination" in FSUIPC, but the problem continues... Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello Today i did a fresh install of FSX (because it was a mess with all the "useless" addons). I tried the pmdg installer again, but everytime I start it, it sais it: unable to locate fsx.exe, unable to install. I tried FS_Registry_repair, but it did not work... The only thing diffrent from my other install is that i changed fsx from my c: drive to my d: drive... How can i fix this issue? Or do i need to install again, but back on my c: drive? Thank you
