Hi So i've just bought the 737NGX and i want to learn the cockpit completely. In other aircrafts i have, when hoovering the mouse over a button, flaps, throttle etc it will say the name of the button and if its on or off. Same with the throttle, it shows how many % im on. Isnt this available in the PMDG products or is it something i have to turn on somewhere?

Can someone tell me how to be sure I am operating with SP1D? I've read where people say to look at the CDU (About) and it will tell you. However, my CDU just says PMDG 737 NGX Version 1.1. There are a lot of helpful posts but I'm having CTD's when ending flights so I want to be absolutely sure I am running the latest version. I just built a new computer specifically for FSX and the PMDG 737NGX and I want it to run properly. I did a lot of reading prior to installing so I am reasonably sure I didn't miss any steps. First I loaded Windows 7 64 Home Premium and then let Windows 10 upgrade it. I made sure all of my drivers were up to date then installed FSX, th…

Hi, Started flight simming back in the days (remember Aviodome?), made sceneries etc. Stopped and flew a real airplane for a while. Recently got a laptop with a resonable processor and graphic card, FSX Steam and the PMDG 737NGX. Things have progressed over the years Updated navaids ( http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html Guy or gal deserves a medal ) after the 737NGX did a perfect auto-land on an apron somewhere Updated PMDG Nav with https://www.navigraph.com/ . Somewhere in a thread someone mentioned losing the mouse clicks, I had/have that too... I ran into the debug_log.txt in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX" directory …

Hi, I'm a long time NGX user in FSX. I've been very impressed with P3Dv3 in the last couple of months, so decided to take the plunge and buy the NGX for P3Dv3. First flight in the NGX and the simulator is stuttering - every 20-30 seconds the simulator will freeze for a few seconds. Checked the forums and the two suggestions I found were FSUIPC autosave (which doesn't happen every 30 seconds so I think unlikely) and ASN. Even when I turned the latter off I'm still seeing the stutters. I've been running Aerosoft's A320 for the last few months and have not observed the same issue with that addon. I've a reasonably powerful PC (i7-3770k running at 4.5ghz, GTX970,…

So being as FSX was running like a slug, I decided to uninstall everything and start a fresh, only this time as it was running at a silly discount I purchased and installed the Steam Edition. So far so good all add ons seem to work PMDG 737 and 777 install flawlessly and to be fair my frame rates are up on what they were and the whole experience is smoother... With the exception of whilst flying the NGX the mouse stopped responding to the push/pull/rotate points on the screen within the Virtual cockpit. As a mouse it was fine the pointer travelled across the screen as I moved it, it just wouldnt change into a little hand. This happened on and off through out the whole …

On this repaint I'm using there is a line in the fuselage that the cabin light shows through. When I zoom in closely, it disappears, and it only shows up as a barely visible line during the day that looks like a normal fuselage panel line. Is there a way for me to fix this myself? Here is the line, just ahead of the wing (it is much more noticeable in-sim)

I have done extensive searching on this subject with no luck finding current information, suggestions or fixes. I have a new build per below specs. I have WIN10 installed on drive C:\ on a 256GB SSD. I have FSX installed on a separate drive known as E:\FSX\ Everything I see appears to indicate there is no problem installing in this manner. I am trying to give as much information as possible with the least number of characters. Only when I install and use the NGX, do I have these problems. I can load the NGX at a gate or on a RWY and everything works normally. This problem starts when I esc and try to exit the program. I get a CTD with the following log files enter…

Hi guys! Im wondering: Why is that difficult to get real documentation from real operators? I'm trying to find a normal checklist for the 737. Sure, i find lots of them, but all made by someone. Most of them have missing items, or use a random flow, others are excessively verbose etc. I want to use the real stuff. A checklist used by an airline: delta, american, united, etc. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Touchdown with crab: It is recommended to use this method when landing on slippery runways as it reduces drift on touchdown and allows for rapid deployment of the spoilers and autobrake as all main gear have touched down simultaneously. However, rudder and aileron input to de-crab after touchdown must be applied in order to maintain proper directional control. This method is not recommended on dry runways with strong crosswind conditions as on landing the aircraft will tend to track upwind until the correct de-crab technique is accomplished. This lack of initial directional control is undesirable. Fly the nosewheel onto the runway after the aircraft is tacking the…

Hello, I'm having two issues with NGX as follows... 1) When I need to create custom entries based on FIX (VOR/NDB/NAVFIX) and I normally open FIX page, type a name of the fix (JFK), type the course/radius (270/15) and then click on L2K or L3K to automatically generate custom coordinates to insert them then into a flightplan. The last step does not result in success (the coordinates aren't generated) This was a normal routine with old NGX, 747 and other 737 products based on Collins/Honeywell FMC. It's not a case with current NGX/777 products. Need help with resolving this. 2) Weather Radar. I have ASN SP4 installed, FP is being loaded as required into ASB, ho…

When you enter an approach in the FMC, the approach reference page gives you the ils frequency and the approach course. So far so good. However when you change your mind (or it is changed for you) and you enter for example the reciprocal course in the arrival page, the approach reference page does not change, it is not updated to the new course and ils frequency. Does anybody have the same issue or is it just me ? Martin Bunjes

So, I went to install a livery as normal for the 900WL NGX and it showed an error that the file didn't exist. I noticed that the 900 non-winglet was still there. I went into my sim object and found that the WL file was still there just not showing in sim or in operations manager. I saw a file title something like aircraft.cfg but the file time was CFG_OLD. I copied all the contents in that file and pasted it into a new Notepad file and saved it as aircraft.cfg and put it back in the WL folder. I loaded FSX and it was back. None of my liveries saved unfortunately, but I'm just informing everyone that if this happens to you, do this. I didn't do anything to the plane and ha…

Hello everybody, Being away from home and my P3D for a few months I have to make do with my Macbook Pro in Windows mode running FSX for my ATIS communication training before I enter the Vatsim world. Ever since yesterday tough, flying from EHRD to LOWI I have been getting this warning sound no matter what I do. It seems to be related to either the time lapsed from the beginning of the flight or indeed the altitude (normally above FL 200) All faults have been reseted in the CDU but every time I restart the flight and look in the Aircraft section of the CDU, I find that the brakes fault is active again. Don’t now if this is triggering the warning though.…

Hello, just downloaded the Goldstar texture for meridiana 737-800 but there is no config file with it, so it uses default pmdg config for the cockpit. I would like to have a more realistic configuration but I just can't find a cockpit picture of meridiana 737-800 on the internet. By looking at airfleets, and testing all the former registration of their 737-800 fleet I just found this http://www.airliners.net/photo/Air-Italy-Polska/Boeing-737-84P/1901052/L/&sid=ae5a61b22cc539fc22eef0d9f7010d9d (just realised avsim does'nt accept links to airliners.net ? why ??) So it's a collins MCP, good start, but what about the whole lot of other options ? does an…

I tried searching this forum about scimitars, but for some reason, the search wouldn't work. Anyway, is there any plan to release a PMDG 737 with scimitars? By the way, I don't often post on this forum, and I want PMDG to know how much I love their products. They are fun to fly, and the only time I had installation problem a couple of years ago, the service was stellar. My kudos to the PMDG staff, and I wish you all well in the future. I've done my due diligence searching for the solution to this problem, but I cannot find it. I registered over at FS Dream Team but have to wait for them to authorize the account. In the mean time I'll ask the question here because you folks seem to be the most knowledgeable people out there. FSX SE - everything default, no add on scenery or airports. GSX is parking (as I've read it should be) the center of the NGX at the "T" of the parking gate. Unfortunately, the center of the NGX is between the rear landing gear, and not the nose gear. Therefore, the jetways are having difficulty accessing the front door, and the plane is getting parked too far forward because it is p…
