PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

  1. Started by jakey12,

I recently changed computers and reinstalled FSX and the ngx but now for some reason every time I end a flight rather than going back to the FSX start up screen I get an error message saying a fatal error has occurred. I was previously runing windows 7 and had no problems on that computer, and I am now using windows 10, I have my suspicions that this has something to do with it. Any Ideas

hi all i was wondering if anyone has suggestions or tips, or can give me a general slap in the right direction to resolve a problem i'm having. my pmdg 737 800 ngx is having problems with its auto pilot system. for example i can leave LIMC heading for EGLL, with correct SID's and STAR procedures respectively and flight plan set with speeds and altitudes correct. the problem that i have is i can be in a stable climb and or cruise, with both FD's set, auto throttle on LNAV and VNAV active with CMD A on, my joystick will suddenly pull back, the aircraft goes into a steep climb and or decent LNAV VNAV and CMD A will have turned off. Once i've managed to restore sanity…

Hi, PMDG guys, I'm a new comer in FSX and I really like PMDG 737NGX!!! I intend to buy it on my birthday in the next week. But my computer is not good enough and I will buy a good one later(may be half year later). I just want to know if I use another computer in the future, whether I should buy a new PMDG 737NGX ?

Whenever I try to run the PMDG-737 I get the above message and have to quit FSX. I had to format my hard drive and reinstall all program and wonder: Should I use the default directory for FSX ? And which one for the PMDG-737 ? Can anybody think of what else I should do or check ? Thank you HubertWerni

  6. For some unknown reason my 737 has begun to tip to the right upon takeoff. It continues to want to pull to the right although I can correct the turn. It only started doing this lately. I have calibrated my Saitek yoke several times. I have checked everything I can think of to figure it out. I even did a system restore. Any experiences or suggestions would be appreciated. Hi, I am having small problem with update of AIRAC to NGX thru NavDataPro. In FSX I had no issues, however in Prepar3d I cant get it to work. I did point NAvData to the navdata folder in PMDG one. I think this is not working. Files got updated in PMDG, but NGX is not reading them... Can someone help me? Tom

Hello my name is Connor McLeod and I am having major issues with my PMDG aircraft which include the 737NGX, 777-200, and the 777-300. My issues is that on the aircraft I am not able to click on any buttons or get anything to work inside the aircraft and when I go to pull up panels in the exterior view it looks like its almost from the default aircraft. If you would like any screen shots please let me know, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the aircraft and running my sim connect as well. I also did update my aircraft. If it makes a difference I'm also running FSX:SE.

Please see attached image https://app.box.com/s/b60s4riv88d19ienyskvgfz4bw32wvl0 I'm using Prepar3dv3. When I fly at night and there isn't a lot of light, all the panels looks like it's tiny diamonds, I believe the background graphics are not fully smooth. i'm not sure if its supposed to be like this or what, can you please explain to me if there is a problem? The resolution of the graphic card in the simulator set to: 1280x1024x32 I have i7-6700 CPU @3.40GHz, 8Gb RAM, AMD Radeon R9 370 card, Windows10 On-board graphic card disabled. All Windows and graphic card update done. One version of P3Dv3 installed only. Installed PMDG737NGX Thank you Stan Sharivker

  13. It seems the 737NGX executes the parallel entry different to how it should be performed. Is this a known problem? ICAO DOC 8168 Sector 1 procedure (parallel entry): (a) at the fix, the aircraft is turned left onto an outbound heading for the appropriate period of time (see 1.4.9, “Time/distance outbound”); then (b) the aircraft is turned left onto the holding side to intercept the inbound track or to return to the fix; and then © on second arrival over the holding fix, the aircraft is turned right to follow the holding pattern.

    1) how do you disengage the autopilot & auto throttle a second time to stop the flasher on the panel? For me a second click would just reengage the autopilot. ( is there a way to do this with SPAD/ FSUIPC?) 2) I want to be able to cycle views, but there is one view (and I understand it has to do with the resolution I am using on my monitors) where as soon as it cycles through it, I can't see anything on the lower part of the screen, and the mouse starts flashing uncontrollably. Is there a way to fix this without changing the screen resolution? 3) is it possible using the old SPAD (not SPADNext) and FSUIPC to assign the trim wheel on the saitek panel to co…

Since updating to P3v32 I no longer have the 'little hand' cursor showing. I have the stock windows but this disappears over the 'toga' panel hotspot and is intermittent when selecting any of the FMS or autopilot knobs, switches, buttons. I was wondering if it's a common problem or unique to my installation.

  16. Good day! I figured out that my throttles advance without arming either of the 2 flight directors. The manual correctly states that TO/GA is only available when both FD are engaged. What could be the cause that my TO/GA mode can be activated without any FD or only 1 FD active? It doesn't matter if I'm using the TO/GA buttons on the throttles or the hidden one on the MCP. I'm using Prepar3D V3.2, the latest PMDG 737NGX updates (via the PMDG Updater -> no self caused finger trouble) and only liveries downloaded via the PMDG livery manager (again no finger trouble). I'm running P3D on my iMac using Bootcamp and Windows 7 (also latest updates installed). Everythin…

  17. Hi, This is rather strange. NGX is not responding to joystick inputs. All stock Prepar3d planes work fine and NGX is dead silent. Only throttle works ok... Anyone can assist? Tom -------------------------------- Solved. Pilot is a dumb*** that forgets to switch hydraulics ON. Ok, lets blame it on the fatigue this night ;-)

Here comes a stupid question but i can't get my head around this - Lets take the 737 NG for an example: you takeoff with gear extended to cool down the brakes if terrain isn't an issue or performance permits. But how is that allowed? What if you have an RTO it will cause severge damage ie fuse plug melted as your wheels are already hot? Also what is Category C/N Is this steel and carbon brakes?

hi guys, can suggest why: 1) upon hitting TO/GA i lose the LNAV and VNAV not for few seconds (as per tutorial 1) but for much longer until I am off the ground and they magically reappear and can engage Autopilot 2) I am getting NO DES AFTER "WAYPOINT" in FMC when in fact I am sure I have no dicontinuity across my route (i checked and rechecked) and finally 3) PATH NOT ACHIEVABLE (i think this is because i may be going too fast but not sure) thanks Andrea De Biase

  20. Hi! I wonder if anyone has the same issue: I made the update of airac cycle to 1602, and all of the sudden the FMC start to read the oposite frequency and course of all runaways at all airports in FSX. For ex: at EDDM want to Land at 26L and in FMC under ILS 26Lwas the freq. And course of 08R!!! So i look in airports.txt in navdata folder and notice that all runaways of all airports was duplicate entries even with correct frequency just of One of the entries. At EDDM for ex. I had 8 entrie with 4 rwy 2 for each One! I return to an old airac cycle like 1502 and all turn to normal with 4 entries for eddm and FMC return to read correct. I am doing something wrong with instal…

  23. Hi all, I've had the same problem on the last two flights. When I try to fly an ILS approach, it's not working as expected. Basically, I have the ILS freq/course set on both NAV1 and NAV2. I have double checked this and it also matches the FMC. I have it in APP mode, and it intercepts the LOC (I'm below the G/S). But once I intercept the G/S, APP kicks off, and PFD states "LOC/G/P" and it tracks the G/P in VNAV mode (I guess). I try to re-engage APP to track the G/S instead of G/P, but it won't let me. I don't understand why I can't track the ILS G/S. Granted, in both cases I used LNAV/VNAV to intercept the LOC, and also descend to FAF altitude, but shouldn't…

  24. With the NGX, the panel lighting is horrible for me. Grainy. I've tried several graphics changes and have had no luck. Even NVIDIA DSR didn't smooth them. See the following image.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/iu586jm94s45s74/File%202016-03-24%2C%202%2030%2033%20AM.jpeg?dl=0

Hello all! Been enjoying the heck out of the 777 and was thinking about picking up the 737 as well. Are there many major differences between how they operate? I imagine they use the same FMC? Obviously I expect they won't be exactly the same but curious what the learning curve will be. Thanks!
