Hi, I have a very weird issue where if input any control movement in the PMDG 737NGX, the aircraft will bank full right and won't come out of it until it crashes into the ground Any ideas? Thanks

Hello everyone, As of beeing in need of the PMDG 737-800/900 Paint Kit for a freshly founded VA I tried downloading it from the PMDG website. After several tries, even with different pc's I had no luck. The download stops at 218MB instead of the stated ~450MB resulting in a broken .zip file. Does anybody have an alternative downloadlink available? Or is there any chance that that just might be a temporarily issue? Greetings Sebastian

Looking at the new airplanes in the previous video, I see that the analog RMI is gone. To me it provides useful backups, I know you can have ADF in rose mode MFD, but it seems like a waste of space the gauge is not that expensive. Why did they decide to do this ? Also, I see many more lights above the Captains and First Officer's MFD's than we have in our NGX. Can anyone tell me what they indicate ?

I'd like a panel file adding the red and yellow stickers that the Lion Air fleet has, here is a picture: http://www.jetphotos.net/photo/8220999 I tried it but I am not talented with paint programs. The best I could do is make my own cockpit registration plates. Thanks - David Lee

I would like to practise asymmetric flight (engine failures). When I shut down an engine, there does not appear to be any yaw. Can anyone suggest whether my settings generate an automated response, and if so how can I turn this off so I can respond manually? Flight conditions: - FSX autorudder un-checked (off) - Cruising at 39,000ft - Autothrottle set - Autopilot (RNAV and VNAV) set - Yaw dampener ON Actions taken: - Yaw dampener OFF - Autothrottle disconnect - Autopilot disconnect - Engine start lever to cutoff on engine 1 Observations: - Engine 1 thrust 2%, engine 2 thrust 102% - Aircraft shows slight bank - Rudder trim shows zero units The …

Hi all, I have a question regarding failure simulation that I couldn't quite resolve reading the manual. First off, service-based failures. I have those activated and I understand that some items will fail if the plane is either subjected to adverse operational conditions (i.e. hard breaking will lead to break overheat, then reduced brake effort or brake failure) or due to normal "wear & tear" over time, also requiring the airplane to be serviced regularly (though I am at a loss to say what exactly would fail). Then, random failures. Those would come "out of the blue", correct? Which would mean that even a properly serviced aircraft that is operated within the…

My trim audio doesn't match up with me trimming the plane. This is minor, but still with how great everything else is with this plane, I'm wondering if my setup is causing the nuisance. I use the saitek pro flight yoke and have the left up/down toggle tied to my trim wheel. Only on long runs of adjustments do I hear the trim sound loop. And its not a constant sound, it seems to be on a loop.. so if I would hold the trim button for a few seconds, I would get a trim sound... then silence... then trim sound... then silence. If I look at the trim wheel in the VC, the trim wheel does match my inputs, but the trim sound does not. More examples, on approach, I'll be mak…

Hi, In many videos on line, we can see the pilots pushing the throttle forward when taking-off, hand staying on the throttle till V1. Unlike Airbus which has a notch, how far should 737 NGX pilots push forward? Depending on the N1 mark or the auto-throttle system has motor or something which "takes" their hands forward? Thanks. Delivery flight of a brand-new 737 900 ER for Alaska. I am not sure if the pilots are Boeing or Alaska's, but it seems that system A hydraulic pumps are still being left off for pushback and start up. Another thing that I see is that the engine bleeds are on prior to engine startup. Can anyone confirm this ?

Hello, First, sorry if it has already been discussed, I found nothing via the search function. I have noticed that the ECON cruise mach is unsensitive to headwind or tailwind. Did I miss anything in the FMC setup or this particular functionnality was left aside during NGX development? And if it was, what were the reasons? Happy flying! Alex

I like to jump around flying in different parts of the planet... interested in Lion Air. But I cannot find an accurate panel config. Also I cannot find a clear picture of the cockpit panel that has the registration card on it. I'd like to find out the real airline config options and create a vcnnumber file. Does anyone have this information? I searched through many pictures online and can find some options but no picture of the registration card on the panels in the cockpit. Thank you - David Lee

I am hoping someone is familiar with Southwest Airlines. I would like some information about the -700's purchased by Southwest, and also taken by the merger with AirTran. Are these aircraft using the same cockpit layout as they had before, or did Southwest have the changes made like adding a heads-up display, no altitude callouts, and analog standby instruments? To match the rest of their fleet? Thank you - David Lee

I purchased NGX a few weeks ago - and I'm glad I did. I'm having one small problem. I load a flightplan, have the current AIRAC, and the route terminates at least 100 miles from the destination. I use simbrief.com to plan my flights, and on their map, everything checks out. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance, Marc Eichler

Hello guys. Need to write and ask for advise. FSX flying PMDG B737. I have not used the sim for 4 months, been abroad. When back home, and starting the sim for a flight, the throttle functions is suddenly opposite. Flaps arm to 40 to get flaps 0, full trust to get idle and speed brake the same. Tried tutorial 1, and own flights. Strange since the computer has been totally disconnected with power since we left. Checking fsuipc, all seems working ok, so can any one of you guess what happen? I can't.....

Hello all, I would like to know what settings I should use for zoom, (seat) height and possibly lateral (left/right) position to have the most realistic viewpoint, i.e. "what the pilot would see". I realize there may be some constraints in FSX and maybe even pilot preferences, so an approximation will do just fine. Thank you very much.

Hi, Could you please add the Decision Height and Decision Altitude values (data read and command write) to the SDK? It appears PMDG uses its own variables for that so that addons cannot set the DH. In particular, Multi Crew Experience cannot implement the voice command to set a DH for the 737NGX (they do for all other aircraft that use the exported FSX variable). Thanks, -Emile.

I have looked through the tutorials and can't seem to locate this procedure. If engine 2 is started first with the APU running, and then the APU is turned off, how does one start engine number 1?

Hi all, I'm struggling at the minute on the correct technique/profile do adopt in the case of a steep final approach (I'm specifically trying to land the 736 on the IGS approach to rwy27 at LIMW, but this question is relevant to all steep approaches really). Is somebody able to point me towards the correct technique/profile to adopt to control the energy state of the aircraft e.g. when to extend the gear, deploy speedbrakes, flap settings and when, early configuration and speed reduction Vs "dumping everything out at the last minute". I reckon it essentially boils down to the question is "it easier to reduce speed in a clean or dirty config"? Thank you! Matteo

I just installed PMDG with P3D v3. All seems to work well except the reverse thrust audio. An exterior look shows the Reverser engaged. I have calibrated the throttle, reassigned the buttons and adjusted sensitivity. Any suggestions? Thanks

Approach climb limited weights (2.1%) Landing Climb limited weights (3.2%) Approach climb - approach flaps - Gear up - 1 Engine inop Landing Climb - Landing flaps - Gear Down - Thrust > 8 sec Anyone explain why for the approach climb it assumes 1 engine inop and for the landing all engines working?

Hi everyone, For some reason, my 737 base package for P3D v3 decides to veer left when in cruise. I have only flown a couple of flights since upgrading from FSX to P3D but three times this occured whilst on cruise or descending to my destination. it looks like theres a control input to the left but in fact the autopilot (and ultimately myself when I take over the AP) find it difficult to counteract this input. See pictures below, the flight stick indicates that the AP is constantly trying to fight this input. before you fire the usual advices to me, here are the checks and tests I performed in order to get a good idea of where this strange behaviour comes from…
