Upon touchdown the NGX throttles don't go fully idle is this a P3D limitation or does this happen in the real world

Often (usually when flying at night or early morning) atc will tell you "delete the speed restrictions on the approach" I'm still learning the NGX FMC and wonder what the best and fastest way to do this is? If I use the DELETE key it wipes the altitude as well as the speed. Is the only way to delete the line then manually enter the altitude so the speed isn't there anymore? Thank you. -David Lee

Dear sirs, I have bought a 737ngx for FSX. At the beginning, when I set the cockpit values (heading course,altitude, VOR-ILS frequencies, FMC programming and save it, I can find all data correctly when I recall the flight. But yesterday I found I have saving problem. After saving, when I recall the flight Only the plane is opened but the other values (FMC ) is not seem. I like to fly real carrier layouts and find some have things missing that I like. Like Alaska chose to not have Boeing put in the altitude callouts at all, everything done by the PNF. southwest used to use the side by side displays and I find that too cluttered, but they have gone to the typical display today. Do you have a favorite cockpit layout? I like Norwegian they have my favorite mcp style and lcd standby instrument. I'd like some suggestions to try different carriers -David Lee

would like to know if PMDG is thinking of producing a 737 cargo series at all? It would be nice to have one considering that Ifly aas well as Ariane Design has one. Any thoughts on this at all in the future? Marvin Brooks

Anyone confirm this happens on the NGX - Rotate at a rate of 2.0 to 2.5 degrees per second. Beware of a “dead band” around 10 degrees, and maintain a constant rate of rotation towards 15 degrees nose up to a pitch limit of 20 degrees. Or is the real physics way out of hand for the NGX?

I am running P3D 3.1 (have yet to upgrade to 3.2) Using Active Sky Next. This is from memory so forgive me for the sketchy testiment. I had a really strange problem when trying to descend into LFRS. Initially I was descending VNAV, from something like FL240 down to FL080. However the nose of the AC seem to pitch up. Ok I thought this is weird..not seen this happen before. So I turned off the CMDA and tried flying level. I tried to trim and get the AC into a controlled level flight. Then I thought ok everything is ok to switch the AP back on. I thought why not go into V/S and descend down to 5000f. (By this time the airport was getting nearer.) This seems like a good…

Hallo, i have a problem with Prepar3d and 737 ngx When i use this aircraft, i notice a little micropause on simulator. it appen with or without any tipe of addons. if i use a different aircraft the problem don't appears. for me is impossible to fly because after a couple of minute the pause became longer.... does anybody have the same problem, how do you have solved? thank you.

Hello All - After using PMDG 737NGX and FSX for quite a few years, I recently moved over to P3D version 3. I cannot seem to get the Weather Radar working, and to be honest, I am not sure if I am missing a step in activating same. Yes, I do have the latest version of Active Sky Next, as well as having re-purchased the latest version of PMDG's 737NGX aircraft to run with P3D. OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Version: 1511, build 10586.164 P3D version: 3.2.3.16769 Professional (client and content, scenery is on 3.0.10.14945) I have just experienced a P3D crash on menus.dll whilst on approach into Gardermoen in the PMDG 737-800. But I still have the problem: All animations are choppy as hell even though my framerate is stable (around 40 fps). Control wheel (sorry I don't know the correct translation. A bit hazy on two topics: -How do you exactly pick the temperature to set on the SEL/OAT? is it always 15 + what ever the outside temperature is, is it that simple? -When landing with APP engaged but without the FULL auto land option (Autopilot B no engaged) it is my understanding that you get guided until the runway but you need to land yourself, am I correct here? if so, what is the decision height at which you take control of the plane? is it decided by the FMC telling you when to take over (how?) or is up to the pilot to decide based on visibility and outside conditions? and what you do manually do, disengage auto pilot and auto speed? thanks Andrea …

Hey fellows of avsim PMDG forums, recently I did my first RNAV app on SCIE airport, this APP RNAV is called LODOS1C, so the procedure goes from LODOS, DAKEP until ENTAV at 3500 ft, if you can see in the chart attached below, there is a hold turn to the right at ARTEN, ok, when the times come, once overflying ARTEN the PMDG 737NGX started to make hold turn just the chart shows, so I tought ok, after this hold maybe it will continue to the ARTEN, but this not happen, the plane did another right turn, so the question about this, what´s the right procedure when you must to face a HOLD pattern flying on 737NGX? When I start up PMDG 737 NGX eith the 600/700/800 or 900 series, the pilot's eye point is set too low. I am looking down at runway not seeing the horizon. I have to always change it with cntrl-q. Any ideas. Also, do you have to have another addon to use the weather radar on the plane?? Thanks Eran

I'm switching to FSX:SE and when I try to install the -600/-700 expansion I am told that the installer can't find FSX.exe and to contact support. So that is what I'm doing right now. What's the solution? /Mats Hjorter

I've no idea what has changed. I used to be able to see my runway turnoff lights, but now I don't. The taxi lights are visible, just not those. Where can I start to diagnose this? Thank you.

G'day all, It has been roughly 8 years or so since using FSX, I haven't owned a desktop during this time and am just starting to put some money away for a new system for P3D. Back in the day I owned the 737 and 747 but any confirmation emails are long lost in a Hotmail account I no longer can access. While I'm putting the beans away for a new system, I'd love to be able to put my head into the 737NGX manuals to refamiliarise myself with the aeroplane again. I've done some looking around, but it seems these are only available after purchasing the aeroplane. Is this correct? Cheers, Joe

The PMDG Operations Center's aircraft specific settings per livery do not seem to be having any effect on the airplane. I noticed this when I flew the United livery the other day and the EFIS/MAP was up even though PFD/ND was selected and saved in the Operations Center. This could also explain my autolanding issues if it's not recognizing my fail operational setting. Is there a recommended fix for this?
